Here we go
This is not a matter of few companies dependency, it is a matter of lack of Quality Assurance. It is the same that has happened to Boeing in the last couple of decades, software industry does not care about QA, they only care about speedy delivery. Developers get evaluated and rewarded on speedy delivery above anything else. The outage could have been prevented if Crowdstrike and Microsoft TESTED the update BEFORE deploying it to the cloud or to the automated updates release to computers world wide.
@20:39 Benedikt Kammel, Bloomberg (excellent reporting!): "should there be more REDUNDANCY built into the system... what is our back up what are our REDUNDANCIES."
Rotation of action
Neil Dutta is absolutely right. There is a time lag effect of monetary policy. An end of month CPI print always represents yesterday's inflationary pressures/prices of basket of goods. The fed at the moment is too focused on month over month, very granular data point print on PCE and CPI and not taking into account the time lag effects of rate cuts actually showing tangible/substantial changes in the consumer and business sentiment in the U.S. economy and we might be too close to a hard-landing if a singular data-point (outlier) affects the Fed's decision making.
Nice episode/insert. On point and informative. Nicely rendered.
Greatstuff, keep up the good work 🏁
I miss Bramo
A one-off idiosyncratic event that causes a stock to tank is often times a buying opportunity. In the case of CRWD, it might be different. Extremely over-valued (P/E 573!) amidst an overall tech selloff. Should be interesting to watch the movement next week.
Was Wondering what People buy from America, Cars ?Tractors? Children ? Nobody Knows
I hear nothing about cloudstrike connection to Ukraine, Democratic Party or servers. Some reporting on this would be nice rather than just reading press and gov releases!
What did the airlines do with the bailout money that is essentially taxpayers money. Obviously not upgrading their IT
I think she moved already😂
