As somebody with a tremendous amount of interest in these older formats but was very young when they were actually around, the level of detail and insight in these videos is utterly invaluable. Hands down one of the best Yugitubers.

I recently remembered that you once wrote an article about a banned list suggestion, something that was heavily critizised and some other article. The I re-read THE ARTICLE. I knew that I also read it back then, almost a full decade ago now, but I kinda forgot about the exact content and I honestly think, retrospectively, that I didnt fully understand it back then. But now.... now I think this is one of the best epiphanies I ever had, in terms of YGO, but also in life in general, projects for work or similar stuff for example... "Not everything is perfect" I think, it finally clicked with me. Once you truly understand that, you will grow so much as a player. I just wanted to share this again, somehow, so I am just posting it here, where other people, who appreciate your content, can also read it. I guess you still stand by these priciples you wrote back then? Certainly much has changed in the meantime, we all grow and evolve, but I feel this is still so very true =) Thanks for all the work you put in here, I love retro YGO and your channel helps so much in getting better at every single aspect of YGO =) Cheers
I remember using Herald of Creation and Solem Judgment full focusing in LADD and negating my opponent, and yes Marshmallon and Reaper where a pain in the ass to deal with haha.
I’m not sure if gold sarc and crush card should be included as they were SJC prize cards. I played + scape goats + plasma + monger + d-draw Easily my favorite format and most top 8s in regionals. I won 2 str8 in Texas with the deck. Thanks for the coverage bringing back some nostalgia
The Destiny Hero engine is one of the most dominant engines the game has ever seen. It had a lot of staying power and was a part of soooooo many powerful decks.
@ΣΑΛΟΣ ΚΟΧΑΟΤ How so? Go look at how many tournaments were dominated by Destiny Heroes. Even when Mali was at 2 it was part of a tier zero deck. Don't stoop to insults.
I personally don't like the 1 RotA + 2 DDraw decks, but I do like playing 2 Foolish. Destiny Hero Monarch decks can really feel like piles sometimes, so maximizing consistency is important to me and I also tend to include Upstarts for that reason.
Limit Reverse came out in Light of Destruction, so well after this format. But with Limit Reverse legal I would say that maximizing DDraw and RotA is even more important to ensure that you actually have a Disco in the grave to bring back.
Limit Reverse is definitely a good card, especially after Dimension Fusion got banned, so playing it in Destiny Hero decks is very reasonable, although using 3 is a lot considering that Reborn and Premature are also legal. I also don't really love Malicious without Plaguespreader, but Crush Card almost forces you to play him and with Allure there are more ways to make hands with multiple Malicious work.
Were you playing with the cards from Phantom Darkness? Raiza was at 1 at that point, so there wasn't really much to tribute summon. I know some decks played both DAD and LaDD at the time.

I have 1 Ultimate Burei and 3 Bureido. Once I find more Burei(s).

LADD was such a dominant card back then. You had to waste multiple cards to get rid of it

Yea Cedric had the best LADD list by far. I’ve tried Jerry’s list and chris bowling’s, and etc. but my win rate was always highest with his.

I really like Snipe Hunter, but I also play 2 Tomato so it's searchable. I also feel like I'm the only one who likes 1 Ladd and 1 Zaborg.
Tomato certainly changes things. I guess that split of a possibility too.
