It took over two years of hunting and monitoring to finish my playset of English super Widespread Ruins once I set out to do it, so I absolutely understand the struggle! Since it's just a vidjamagame promo, I have to imagine there are a lot of trade binders gathering dust in cupboards (I googled it, I figured they'd have another word for closets) across the UK, but listings that ship across the pond and people living stateside with a tradeable copy have been few and far between! Once again, great profile, great upload as always. Hope you had a nice holiday season!
Wow he’s back with a vengeance!!! Thanks for all that you do Joe we really appreciate it! Still awaiting that fabled lightsworns video!! Would also love to see you profile A Perfect Circle deck for the March 2007 band list, Anything between that 07 and 09 Era would be amazing. Hopefully you don’t have to spend anymore money on cardboard to do that.!
I really enjoy every single one of your videos covering Yu-Gi-Oh history. Around 2005 a friend of mine gifted me a bunch of cards, getting me into the game as a kid. I remember embracing the monarchs, these were fun times. Thank you for giving me a broader view on the format at this time.
I used Meanae to quite some success in this format since only monarchs, CyDra and MSlv2 could really take care of it and it fit great with 3 smashing / 2-3 reaper
Great video man I actually wasn’t aware of this format much really cool stuff 🙏let’s get that lightsworn list soon Keep up the great work! Oh also random question but was the saber list you used vs pax in 2011 listed anywhere?
@YGOHistory I agree. I have been pushing my retro group to play chaos return and I plan on assembling some decks for it. I just fear that if we popularized this format, there would be very minimal differences between playing reaper and playing chaos return so we may as well play chaos return. Side note though, how is it that the community just missed how powerful of a card chaos sorcerer was for so many years. No love for the common lol
The biggest I dislike Don Zaloog in a lot of these retro formats is the feelsbad moments that come with your opponent ramming a Tomato into it >.< Reaper >
I like the idea of taking some of the sacky cards out of Goat Format, but I really dislike Stein, which has always made me weary of this format. Maybe I'll try it someday with the gentlemen's agreement to not use Stein.
I do love this format, but the dominance of Cyber-Stein in the modern metagame is somewhat unfortunate. I still also think Mirror Force is a much healthier card than Dark Hole.
Glad you’re back with your videos. This is a personal favourite format due to the contrast & similarities to Goat just before
I saw the upload schedule you posted on twitter. Exciting things to come!
Oh and a happy new year, Joe! ❤
Another video! Great to have you back, Joe. 🎉

Reaper format is my favorite - it's when I started playing the game daily and going to locals 2x per week.

Amazing how Reaper historically has been a fantastic card that took a while for people to realize just how busted it is
You da man Joe
Glad to see this series again
Can we see some duels with decks from these formats that you're spotlighting?
Love your videos.
From these consistent uploads, we now know Joe’s New Years Resolution lol
2 videos in a week I like it a lot 💪🏼💯

Video game closest to this format i think is the GX Tag Force 1. But the game include newer cards due to the nature of following ocg cards

Would love to see a couple duels with these decks as well on your channel maybe you could collab with TCGRewind
As much as this format interests me, I fear that you are right and if we go back and play this format, it just turns into chaos return format.
Chaos Return format was amazing though.

Reaper format is fun.I quite like the next format Chaos Return format. Very fun.

Love the videos but please go back to the old intro lol
Chaos reaper return format.
Sacred Phoenix would be a pretty cool card this format 🤔 outside of the dd monsters it seems unstoppable
