D Hero Monarchs and Macro Cosmos Warriors. Very fun yet very competitive
Cosmo monarch. CCV was so dirty when we had it. I had to take a shower after.
Baboon aggro. Unfortunately there was a bit hectic time for YGO in Hungary so there were no National championship that year to quallify for Intertional tour we held it but you could no qualify :( . I won with the baboon aggro so it's quite memorable for me (espcially baboon)

Without CCV, it was the best format ever. In Europe no one owned CCV, so my best memories of the game are still linked to those months.

Thank you! Many of the earlier ones unfortunately did not have the correct one as I used what was the best looking image. Each video is a learning lesson for myself!
My favourite format of all time. Won my first 2 locals with diamond dude monarchs and zombies. Would love for thia format to get more popular.

Even though GLAS didn't have a massive impact on gameplay like PTDN did, it WAS a sign of things ti come. It was the first set where cards reached 100 plus dollar prices for singles. While that DID also happen in the old days, those prices were outliers, usually reserved for either impractical collector prizes or ultra rare TP cards (which were STUPIDLY rare).
This was a sign of things to come. The cards that got jacked up prices were originally promos in the OCG, but made secret rare in GLAS. PTDN would make this 3ven worse with DAD's MAJOR rarity bump.
Sept 2007 Format (whether TCG or OCG) were one of the best for me. In OCG, the Monarch deck got another amunition in form of Dandylion. And Chimeratech Fortress Dragon was already a thing, which spices things up. The meta is slow paced and builds up nicely. Definitely one of my favorite format of all time.
Deff a fun year with highs and lows!
@@JanjoZone I played a rogue spellcaster decks with 3 Lily and Macro Cosmos Warriors in this format. Pretty formidable and fun to play. I think this is the format where tier 1 and rogue decks can beat up each other easily in matches

Louie raimando used to go to my first locals back in the day cool kid , he won his ycs when he was like 14 which was unheard of at that time now he does competitive BJJ and is tatted up lol.

This was my favorite format. Il Bud and eventually Giga Plant where basically the only good Gemini that used their effects. Also LADD was such a good card kinda still is, loved that deck.

Il Blud is one of the best older (it's not THAT old) card designs in this game, or in any game I have seen. Card of Safe Return should never come back to the game. I like Gravitic Orb a little too.

To me, having prize cards that are scarce ad hell, just makes it like it is in the anime. Having Rare cards (like the god cards) that are limited to just a few worldwide i think makes it more interesting. In my opinion they should provide more very very limited cards (i dont mean secret rares in boosters for example) but other forms of promo card releases, in magazines or tournaments!
Yeah, but then you have a power gap which isn't very healthy for duelists, especially new ones coming in since many seasoned duelists had teams that swapped prize cards around events.

One of my favorite Ritual, too. I really love the art back when Bandit Keith summons it in anime. Shame it's a non-effect monster, though 🥲

@@spotsthecat7913 i still run it in my bandit keith character deck and its worth using with magician of black chaos in ritual decks using demise. I also remember how intimidating it was to see heishin play it in Forbidden Memories.

I'm wondering if it's possible to do a video on classic yugioh cheaters. I'm pretty sure Cedric was banned for cheating after winning an SJC the year before. I also have a friend who was personally cheated against by Jerry Wang. Cheating was prolific by certain people at all locals in South Florida.
Maybe. Idk if I'd want to focus on such a negative aspect of the game. But hey if enough people ask for it, never say never.
The best era in yugioh, not too slow not too fast, it’s “PERFECT” I miss when yugioh was like this =( the background music is also very nostalgic. Konami should just go back to this style of gameplay and sell there current “yugioh” game to another company and call it something else not yugioh lol

The main deck is the sided version. The side shown is just for reference. I can see where it's confusing. Hope that clears it up!

There is no good reason to play CCV or Sarc in this format. They actively make the format unfun and aren’t fair to what playing back then was actually like.
