  • In this 2nd episode of detailing this classic 65 Mustang coupe, we'll get into the chrome and stainless trim. There is tons of it! We'll start with the grill and that iconic pony. Using the Rupes ibrid nano, some cutting pads and Mother's chrome polish, we'll bring back the shine and reflection this classic deserves. Whatever the machine can't get to will get some old school scrubbing! Enjoy!

Man you did a phenomenal job on that trim. you ain't lying about there being miles of trim. I am in the process of finishing my dads project 67 coupe since he passed away a couple of years ago. I was unloading all of the parts and trim pieces from the trunk where he stored all of the stuff he removed from the car and I swear just transporting trim from 1 side of the garage to the other had me ready for a break after 😂
In a way I'm ready to polish it all up but at the same time Im not because of the time it's going to take me. I would kill for that 1" polisher man I swear I've wanted one forever but cant afford one. I'm going to have to use a drill and 2inch wool polishing pad for as much as I can hit with it and hand polish the rest. It's nowhere near as nice as that professional polisher. I'm jealous

Hi Mike, thanks so much for taking the time to check out the vid and comment. It's awesome that you're taking up the torch on your dad's 67.
Even with that Rupes Nano it still took hours to do all that trim. I understand the cost of that machine is prohibitive if you're not detailing professionally. Just to throw it out there. Dremel tools aren't too expensive and they sell large packs of polishing pads on Amazon for pretty cheap. That might help speed things up where you can't hit it with the 2" pad. Because hand polishing is time consuming and hand cramping.
