  • My Mobile Detailing setup has come a long way over the 6 years that I've been detailing as a business. Over the last year I've completely re-vamped my setup to make it more efficient and user friendly. I've not only changed the layout but added some electrical equipment I haven't seen anyone else using. Namely a solar generator and solar panels. I also added some creature comforts that make my day to day better. There's a lot here, so it's a bit of a long video, but may give some great ideas if you're looking to create a setup for yourself.

That liano garden hose is great ... I am still cleaning windows and hard at 58... Trust me if you eat good , avoid booze and ciggerettes you will be able to work effective for many more years. If i can give one word of advice to the detailers.. it is buy a 40/40 reverse osmosis system for your home and install a 300 to 500 Liter in your van and carry the soft water with you to the jobs.. You could have the 40/40 Reverse osmosis Water filter system on a trolley to transport to the job if a lot of water is needed ; you could use a booster pump with the 40 /40 to produce water even quicker... You could also if you wanted to jump into solar panel cleaning and earn a lot more or simply mix jobs for making your workong life non mundane and increasing revenue.. ( keeping things fresh )

Thanks for the comment. I wonder how the cost of the reverse osmosis would compare to the DI system. It costs me about $100/month for the DI refills. I decided not to carry water because of the extra wear and tear on both the trailer and tow vehicle. Also, my setup is already at 3,000 lbs and the max on the trailer is 3500. So even a 300L tank is more weight than I have left.

Love the set up. My power source is EcoFlow Delta Pro and love not hearing a generator running

Thanks! I love running off of batteries, not only for the quietness, but you would need a massive generator to have the startup amps available that these inverters have. Not to mention the ability to have solar coming in.

Thanks for the feedback. But if you're going to offer criticism, make it constructive. Why doesn't it make sense? Do you realize that you can pull those hoses out at almost 90°? So the direction really doesn't matter. The pressure washer reel takes up less space mounted the way it is. Most of the layout was thought out to maximize space and make everything easy to access.

"Do you realize that you can pull those hoses out at almost 90°?" - huh? Im pretty sure that those hoses have to go back, on the reel
    Questions:
    - Since you are only pulling the hoses out, would'nt it have been cheaper to not use hose reels at all?
    - After you are finished with a job and drive home, do you just drag the pressure washer hose down the street - because you don't retract the hoses?
    - Do you also reel the pressure washer hose in @ 90°? I would love to see you contort your body, could you post a video, i have to see it. Pretty pleeese.
    - I reel my pressure hose, faced away from the reel & i only broke my left arm twice & my right arm once. 😂

This is a great video. I have so many questions as I run my own car detailing business. Do you find that you have trouble maneuvering your trailer in and out of jobs with the 10,000 are you able to run all of your equipment at the same time or does the generator that you’re using ever trip? Where did you find the solar power generator? That thing is a beast?

Thanks for checking out the video. I have no issue maneuvering the trailer. It's small and I pull it with either my Jeep or F150 RCSB which both have a tight turning radius, allowing me to get it in and out of some tight spots.
The Bluetti AC500 has no problem running all the equipment. It can run the pressure washer, air compressor and vacuum simultaneously. So yes, it's a beast. I ordered the unit directly from Bluetti.
If you're thinking of going the solar/battery route, I would recommend purchasing a Kill-A-Watt meter beforehand to measure how much electricity you use throughout the day, so you can properly size your battery storage.

Links to the plug in cords 20:36 that lead to the outlets. Thanks!

They are 20 amp 90° plugs. Pretty sure I found them on Amazon. The wiring is actually household Romex and I covered it with automotive wire loom to give it a layer of impact protection.

Cord gauge size for the Romex?

Not sure if you use a lot of di water but you can actually regenerate the resin inside for only $25. I have a video I’m uploading on how to do it
