I’ve learned that it’s better to make you’re own closure. I kept asking the person to give me a reason why they are leaving me , despite them telling me and not ignoring me. I still kept asking for more kept questioning them and begging. Until I realized that I just want to hear them tell me something that I want to hear which isn’t possible for them. So I eventually stopped and created closure for myself.

My thoughts on endings: As much as I ideally would like a healthy and long conversation at the end of each relationship I end, thats not always the case. When theres never really been healthy communication in a realtionship or the phenomenon of „drifting apart from eachother“ happened due to long distance situations or sth similar, its hard to voice or even distinguish where and when you want the realtionship to end. If both partners are fine with an open end, then thats fine. But we must remember that people are not places. While places do not have feelings themselves and we dont have to care about the counterpart, can always quit without hurting anybody, in relationships thats simply not the case. Both sides should have a say in what they want. If you want an open end, at lesdt be thoughtful enough to tell the other person and let them know, maybe even listen to what they want the ending to be like.

this question surprised me. my relationship ended like a slow dying candle & with just one gust of wind, it was out.
funny enough i prepped my self for two days till our "closure talk" i was across the country. even though he apologized & months down the line reached out like nothing, i still feel the pain coming in like waves. and maybe its just because it was my first relationship or maybe on how blunt he ended things but i can't seem to feel like i got my proper goodbye or the answers to my questions.
and i hate how twisted that is, what if time doesn't do what it's suppose to do? what if i never get over him?
it comes down to just nurturing myself & accepting that maybe you won't always get a goodbye that's perfect for you, that closes the chapter perfect in a neat bow. no goodbye is ever like that...

"Simply said, you leave someone when you cannot do anything more with them and you cannot function together in the world. If you are looking at relationships without sentimentality, if you are looking objectively, this is obvious. If you can do no more together, you cannot be together. You will feel complete. You will still love each other and appreciate each other. Perhaps there will be anger and resentment because of disappointment. However, the relationship is complete.
If you have a sense of purpose in life which you have identified and you experience yourself participating in it, the question of when to leave someone will become clear. This is not based upon whether you like someone or not. It is not based upon judgment of the other person at all. There is no judgment or condemnation here. It is simply that you cannot go any further together, and the attempt to go further is detrimental to both of you. The love remains. The gratitude will remain as well, once it is recognized.
It is very difficult to leave someone based upon truth and honesty, for you must give up many of your ideals to do this. What has failed here but your idealism? The great exception to this is if your relationship has true promise and you are not meeting its requirements. How can you tell the difference? Are you leaving or quitting? Knowledge is the difference. Knowledge will tell you to leave when it is time to leave. How could you remain in a relationship if your Knowledge is taking you somewhere else?"

I had to say goodbye this same week. I am seaman and had to travel to the other side of the world to catch the ship. Saying goodbye is something I've learned in the past but I never feel comfortable with it. It's a feeling I'm never used to it. But sailing is my passion and I can overcome the feeling of goodbye in order to make my dream come true. It sucks to say goodbye to your family but these type of experiences have taught me to appreciate every moment with my loved ones. Every second counts and every activity together matters. Life is now more intense because it's what's happening between those goodbyes.

    Thank you Lana
I have a big move coming up and I was planning to just leave without saying anything to anyone but this changed my mind.

my most recent goodbye, and the best and worst one i've ever had, was 3 months ago. neither of us wanted to leave our magical world, but i think we've made the right decision.
you have a dear part of me Sky. hold on to it. never let it go.
maybe we'll meet again at the horizon

Saying goodbye is definitely the hardest in a breakup at the time. I've said goodbye to a friend that I didn't know i wouldn't see again, 18 years later now I still miss her. All over dumb pride and expectations.. i was an idiot.

You are like a therapy for a sad soul. So calming and smart. Also, you remaind me to one of my favourite tv character-Jane Sloan from The Bold Type. You are great. Thank you for your videos.

My grandma passed away a little over a month ago due to a heart attack. My family is still having a hard time accepting it (a few days ago, my mom tried calling my grandma because she just completely forgot that she's not here anymore), so I'm not sure we've quite gotten to the 'goodbye' stage yet, but we'll get there eventually.

Sometimes u hv to choose between a place that has nothing left or a place where nothing is going right. Love suppose to fill you up not tear you down. Its sweet as it is also bitter. It helps u grow but sometimes it just withet. U r lucky if u hv found the one for u. But for me as i enter my 30s next yr i guess ill hv to see when it comes. Never be afraid to love and spread love. Fan from 🇵🇭😘😍

Goodbyes are generally not easy for me. I value all the good memories with most of the relationships I established, places I've visited, and experiences I've felt. I think people should slow down and treasure those good moments because we're living in such a fast paced world these days, people tend to want to move on to the next best person/thing/experience/place.

I felt the need to write this comment, feel free to read. A month ago my grandmother passed away, I’m a teenager and it was also the initial passing of someone that I dearly loved from my family. I honestly cannot put into words what she meant to me, unfortunately it came to that day for me to realize that. Please, please be grateful for every little bit that you have, because nothing is certain, ever, people come and go and that’s inevitable. Life goes on no matter what, you’re never alone.

Wow this video really popped up for me when I have to go pack my things from university locker and return all my things tomorrow. I spent all day today reminiscing about my uni days and how I will feel tomorrow. Its kind of bittersweet, an era of my life coming to an end, I cant explain my feelings but they are quite intense

When I left my job 2 years ago, I was humbled by the outpouring of emotion from my staff and team. When we moved out a couple of weeks ago, I had a vision of how this might go (thinking of our CZcams channel) but the chaos of moving house meant a totally different series of events! Great memories though. The focus on the "Hello" was good though!

with places I like to let soak in before I leave, people/death - spending as much time as possible with them helps. when losing my grandparents knowing I did all I could to see and help them gave me a sense of peace. break-ups- there will be waves of hate and wanting to get back, own/acknowledge the feelings that come up process them so you can begin to heal and move along. what gets repressed comes out in other ways ! peace..

Tip # 4 for saving your money, before buying anything or paying for a service, ask for a discount, if in a store and the clerk says that they are not authorized then talk to a supervisor or manager, if getting a service compare rates to get the best price then ask if you pay cash can you get them to pay the tax.

I am a man of deep faith and personally goodbyes are things I have never and probably will never come to terms with. I believe all separation to the things and people will love is ultimately temporary and that is how I get through it. I particularly love this from Rumi:
“Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.”
