Seriously how people ever beat this game back in the day without CZcams and with limited lives is beyond me. You'd have to be a god.
Personally me i never finish any game from any console that doesn't have save progress. I start these games only because of the virtual console or else i wouldn't buy any game from 90s.
I was grounded more than a few times for spitting at the TV and throwing my controllers.
My mother beat it back in the late 90's. My siblings and I were in our bedroom sitting behind her on the bed with our eyes glued to the screen when she reached the final fortress. Good times.
Now you are grossly over-exaggerating
@@matheus5230 hmm
If this were any other game, the moving block gimmick would have gotten old and frustrating, since they would have constantly used it as filler. The beauty with Mario 3 is that whenever a gimmick showed up, they would use it two times tops. That is why every level feels like it has variety, and why it leaves more room for neat surprises. The reason why Mario 3 is my favourite games of all time, is that it was full of creative ideas, and it laid the most groundwork for future Mario games.
o the guy who developed world 7 of this game was very angry with his work, because the levels in this world are so difficult that they are impossible to figure out how to beat, who beat this game in 1990 is a God
Wait, those things can change direction? That explains everything! Got stuck on the row of ???????? boxes and couldnt find a way past them :)
only one with lightbuld
@@critter2 Exclamation mark .
@@entityk14 that looks exatly like a lightbulb
It's an exclamation mark. Google SMB3 directional lifts.
I usually save a P just for this level. For some reason I always die 80 times. Lol
Finally after an hour of trying to figure this level out your video helped me get past it 😤
I hate this level more than I hated repeating levels in mario 1
SpiderMatty yup
I hate this level more the Castle right before this level. And in that one. There’s a hidden pipe at the top of screen that you would never know about. And back then, it was just dumb luck if you did find it
@@WhyHandlesIMeanFroggchamp With enough search, you could find it. But that fortress is redeemed by how you can farm so many lives
I didn't even realise you could change the direction I had to use p wing on this level lol
The “!” allows you to change direction by pressing the directional pad and A or B. The manual that comes with the NES game tells you how to use them.
If only levels were replayable to gain liveszzzz
Thank u so much for uploading dis video
And to think this came out way before You Tube 😆. I could figure it out a generation ago, but now....thank you Internet!
They're called directional lifts. The game manual explains how to use them.
lmfao who has the game manual for this? The game is over 30 years old
@@evan1994 I meant the manual that game with the game. I guess people didn't take the time to read it There's also a manual online. I found it by doing a Google search. www.nintendo.co.jp/clv/manuals/en/pdf/CLV-P-NAACE.pdf
@@entityk14 Yea... majority of people wont look up a 30 year old manual when youtube exists...
@@entityk14 That said, I think it's amazing nintendo still has the manual up!
Frustrating level but at the same time one of my fav worlds.
This game is ridiculous. How the hell did they think that kids were gonna figure this stuff out on their own?
THANK YOU FINALLY
thx for the vid
For anybody who Finds this level frustrating if you get a P wing you can completely fly over it before even going into the door at the beginning
This level is something else
This is a terrible level. It never teaches you to do that. Pretty bad level design... :/ Easily one of my least favourite levels.
Even worse theres a glitch wich leads you to an unintended area by executing a pipe glitch once getting stuck in it,theres no way out, even after the timer runs out ,trough the game will not crash but it takes 5 or 10 minutes before you will send back to the map screen ,trough it’s very hard to pull off this pipe glitch.
Actually, you learn the gimmick of this level from the second fortress in World 4. That's the tutorial for this level really. Check it out.
@@johneygd So, why would that be any big problem?
@@matheus5230 that’s because once you go to that unintended area , it will eventually overflow it’s memory ,once it will run out of it’s memory, it wil wrap around it by starting & cycling from top to bothem, untill it reaches an invisible pipe wich mario will get out of and get’s stuck within it’s till sets, if mario is still be able to move, the game can crash,,, now if the game finds no invisible pipe , then the game will shift from bothem to top it will again keep cycling and wrap around it’s memory limit ,on and on untill it reaches the intended area again where mario will get wiped out of the pipe and he could resume it’s adventure .
@@johneygd Isn't that also a glitch used to reach the game's ending quickly?
This comment section:
”this level is ridiculously hard”
Me: *Fastest P-Wing in the west
Not all of us are able to keep p wings though
@@emilybest7634 I feel you. Without a P wing, this level is satanic. I just had a couple in stock thanks to the switches save states.
thank
you
Anyone gonna notice that this game was meant for kids and we as adults or teens can't even beat it??
muy difícil....pero muy bien hecho
Holy hell FINALLY
Bro i was 2 months old when he uploaded that :skelaton face:
thankyou
Wait how do you get it to change directions though? Do you just jump or press down?
You just have to jump. (This only works on the lightbulb one not the arrow ones, which stay their direction.)
Thanks. I didn't even know the blocks can change direction. Some levels in this game are fucking cancer and were obviously meant to encourage kids get a nintendo's magazine subscription. Especially levels that the exit is hidden in wildly obscure places.
The manual that came with the game tells you how to use the directional lifts and change direction.
Besides, this level can be figured out on its own, and it's rewarding to figure out. The only way the level could be clearer is a text tutorial telling you how to change the direction of the light bulb blocks
ótimo vídeo
Me salvaste la vida
How was i supposed to know that
muchas gracias
The level design reminds me of Kid Icarus
bro seriously who's even gonna figure that out
It's not that hard, you are grossly over-exaggerating. Besides, the manual that came with the game explains how to change direction
Thx
Gracias me ayudó
Cómo moviste la flecha para que valla a donde quieres
Merci
Gracias me funsiono
I was so stuck, lol
Me too
Same it took me like a week to beat it
Con que botones se dirige la flecha
Jump.
Solo salta
Madre de Dios
world 7 is the worst world of the game
This, World 6, and World 8 Air Force.
This one messes with me lol
00:50 아 이렇게 하는거였네 ㅡㅡ;
Seriously nintendo???
Holaaa ✋
There is so much annoying bullshit in this game.
I don't understand why people love so much smb3. I find smb much better and with less of this stupid levels
