This level is beating me up right now
I somehow managed this without a fire flower or taking damage. I almost had a heart attack
I couldn't pass this castle using power ups and losing life of Mario
when i was a kid, you can bet this was one of the levels i either used a cloud to pass or a warp whistle to just jump to world 8
This is one of the best designed levels in the game imo
This is literally the PERFECT video game; that's why I consider it my all time favorite. It is challenging from World 3 on. Furthermore, I felt more triumphant after beating World 7 on this game than I did World 8. This world seems to have the most levels in total, and some of the most challenging. You have the black munchers, this fortress, the mazes where if you take a wrong turn, you get lost, and of course 7-4 auto scrolling and Ludwig's airship. I would venture to say this world is harder than anything on NSMBWii with the exception of World 9.
World 6 was the biggest. 5 screens, level 10 and 11 if i remember correct, at least 3 fortresses.

There's no feeling better than managing to beat this level without having to use a Hammer Suit or P-Wing (even by P-Wing standards, this level is a nightmare since you risk losing it at so many points). But if anything, what amazes me most about this level is that so many people jump to call the World 8 Airship the toughest level of the game, before thinking of this stage, which goes to show how easily underestimatable this level can be during a playthrough.
Nicely done. Hard stage, I had to use a P-Wing.

Just got through it after a 28 ish year break. I 4got how hard this one was. This world 7 is SO MUCH HARDER than World 7 on New Super Mario Bros Wii.

I THREW AWAY 40 LIVES ON THIS LEVEL, 40!!!!
Hardest level in the entire game. Had 90 lives left with 50. The fast airship in world 8 has *nothing* on this. Might just be the hardest stage of the entire trilogy (not counting Japanese Mario 2)
Hammer suit: it kills ghost too!!! Why am I JUST finding this out?! Beat this level w that suit & 7 seconds remaining 😂
Started this level with 22 lives. Finished this level with 4
I remember how we considered this level to be sooo difficuilt back in 1993, even today it can be very rouge.

I went down the pipe and could not believe it was still going! I know there's always a boss but bruh they still putting stuff between me and him, I almost time d over.
I used to have trouble with this level
I didn't manage to beat this level at all. I just skipped and used the Warp Whistles.
This whole game made me realize I suck at Mario
use the hammer bros suit it kills the boos and thwomps from long distance. til I figured that out, I thought this was by far the hardest level in the game. you cant even p-wing this nasty little bastard

Playing through an emulator and I say fuck this level and fuck it hard, the thing is I don't have any powers left. Which makes this level twice as hard. Wasted about 14 lives. Last time I got so far in the level and died because of a Thwomp. Ugggh.

I feel so conflicted. I rewound to practice the first thwomp part, did it, then did the rest of the level first try. It's not legit... but it's like 85% legit

No way i am beating this level. I ha3 the mini nes and the control it trash. I cant slide under stuff easily. I will die if backed into a corner
I got the same but I use a wii controller. Much better and the "home" button works as the reset to main screen
