this level is extremely dependant on the notches the GameCube control stick has, along with aligning the camera with the L button. If you learn how to use these two things in tandem, this is pretty easy. To everyone playing on Switch without the notches, I am so sorry

Wtf was Nintendo thinking with this game. Did they do any playtesting on this thing at all......... It's fairly hard even on an emulator with instant respawn/savestates. Imagine being a 8 year old kid playing this on gamecube where you had to restart stages everytime you failed. I bet if there was some way to find out what percentage of people that bought this game in the early 2000s actually completed it it would be incredibly low.

Vai pra cima e tente matar um daqueles bichos,feito isso(provavelmente você vai perder sua forma Tanooki) vai até o outro bloco de Power Up(não entre em nenhum outro cano),pega a forma Tanooki e faça a mesma coisa de ir pra cima,mata o outro bicho e destrói o bloco e passe da Fase:D

That jump from the left-to-right moving platform to the up-and-down platform is the transition point in this level. You gotta mentally prepare to time it right! (And if you make it, know that Fire Chomp finna come spit hot fiya like Dylan at you...)

I finally beat this. Finally.

The game is fine but absolutely not the part with how you HAVE to be small Mario to progress in this level. Not to mention I hate world 9 and the falling platforms design. The game is otherwise done the right way. I especially like the mushroom design and lighting effects. The difficulty for other levels is phenomenal and creative so, 5/10?

I know that the level design of super mario should not necessarily be simple, but how labyrinthine is this specific level, I do not believe that someone managed to pass it without help, it's too far-fetched.

It is possible to beat this level as Big or Fire Mario/Luigi without taking damage. If you slide-crouch under the correct path's blocks and then hold right, you can actually clip through the blocks, and with a well timed jump you can clear the Podoboo and defeat Bowser. This is much easier to do on an emulator with save-states, slowdowns, rewinds, or tool assist.

The first time I came across this fortress I found it oddly quiet. No enemies at all except for Boom Boom.

As kids we were supposed to end the game... Holy hell i found much better smb1 and smb2, smb3 it's just stupid.
