We drove a bike on Bagladesh Marine Drive Road, world's longest Marine Drive! This long scenic road is right in the middle of the sea beach and the hilly area of Cox's Bazar.
We stopped on the way to various places on our way to the south point of the beach, and visited Himchari Waterfall.
Cox's Bazar Beach is the world’s longest natural unbroken sandy beach in the world. Here are our first impressions about Cox's Bazar, the most popular touristic destination in Bangladesh! Is it worth it to come here? How does the longest sea beach in the world look like? Can you even swim?
We are in Bangladesh to explore the Bangladesh culture, Bengali food, blend with the Bangladesh people and see how life is in the Bay of Bengal. Bangladesh has welcomed us for the past months and we are in love with this colorful country!

Those boats you saw are truly amazing.... They can go deep sea for fishing... Only few types of small boats can go deep sea, its one of them... They are called Chander Nouka(moon boat) or Shampan.

*MANGOS IN BANGLADESH:* This is not mango season in Bangladesh. *Generally the season lasts from May to September, but the most and best varieties are available during the months of June-July. Mango varieties available before and after that are not always very good and often used for pickles, dried mango and other preparations - not for direct raw consumption AFAIK.* That's probably why you did not get good mangos. There are *_hundreds of mango varieties available in Bangladesh, perhaps upto a thousand - 270 of them in the Rajshahi region alone._* Some of the best quality mangos are thought to be the ones grown in Chapainawabganj area, near Rajshahi. The most well known Bangladeshi mango varieties include *Langra* (according to some it used to be the best tasting, sweet and very fragrant traditional local variety. It comes to the market in early to mid-June. The original authentic version of this variety is rarely available nowadays though. ), *Fazlee* (it's one of the popular varieties. It's large in size and weighs 400 gm to 1.5 kg. It's very juicy and fleshy, sweet, fragrant and delicious. The Chapainawabganj variety is the best. It comes to the market in mid June I think). There is one hybrid variety called *"Anowara"* which once topped a competition in sweetest mango of Bangladesh. Other well known varieties include - *_Himsagar, Harivanga, Amrapali (mid June), Gopalvog (20 May), Lokkhonvog (late May), Gouromoti, Bari Mango-4 (10 July), Brunei King (can be 4 - 5 kg a piece, sweet, big. fleshy and juicy, a fantastic new variety, 2nd week of August), Balisha, Bombai Fazlee, etc_*
I have to remember this next time I will have a mango, thank you for all the information! In our country we never get ripe mangoes so it would really be a new thing for us to try it here in the region. Thank you for watching our video, as always ❤️
@@DodoExplorers Indian, Thai and Philippino mangos are very very good too. Sweet, juicy, fleshy and fragrant. If you visit Thailand, try the *_"Nam Dok Mai"_*_ and _*_"Ok Rhong"_* varieties of Thai mango. Available between March - June, I think. Both are fantastic and best of Thailand. In India, some people think the Ratnagiri Alphonso variety is the top one. It is exported to Europe too, especially to UK. I haven't tried this one, but we have many varieties in common with India, including "Langra", "Fazlee", etc. There is a very good one in West Bengal called *"Mollika".* Pakistani mangos are very good too, eg the *"Sindhri"* variety. You've been to Pakistan, have you tried this one? The Phillipino mango variety *_"Sweet Elena Carabao"_* (there are several strains of Carabao mango) is fantastic. _Some think it's the best in the world!!!!!_ I've tried Carabao, but don't know which one. Finally, delicious mangos are grown even in a desert country like Egypt - in a region called _Ismailiya,_ where I've been a long time ago. This was a real surprise for me because I always thought mangos are tropical fruits!! Egyptian mangos are good too. If you ever visit Egypt, you can try this one too. Cheers!! 😇
*PS.* Many of these mangos are exported and you may find them in other non-mango countries too.
There are probably tons of videos on Cox's Bazar but due to your driving, great commentary and camera work the whole thing seems so nice. I hope these videos may attract many foreigners to come in Cox's Bazar. In near future there will be different zone for foreigners only and heavy development will going on this area in next 5-10 years. So do visit next time please. Thanks

The boats are called 'Chander Nouka' meaning the 'Crescent Boat' due to the shape, which apparently helps riding the waves while going into sea. The restaurant is called 'Palongki' which was the name of the area before renamed as 'Cox's Bazar'.

Honestly how adorable & sweet are you guys, it should be illegal and criminal to be this good and that is why we love you both so much.
The little Bengali lingos you use in some of your vlogs such as “joss mamu” “in sha Allah (God willing)” “Masha Allah (What God wanted/willed)” “chalo bhai (let’s go bro)” things like these shows to us the viewers how much you have learnt and taken in the little bits of our language and culture, it gives the vlogs that personal touch and for that we really appreciate it. Both of you guys could have just wondered around and take pictures but you chose to learn about our country, language, diversity of our people and culture so hats off to you both.
Gigi & Mike said it perfectly when they described our traditional Bengali boats, they are wonderfully shaped, with different styles of patterns & colours, used as a transport and source of livelihood for the local people in the area such as for tourist and fishing etc.
Again I know this vlog is a continuation of the previous vlog but I just wanted to kindly remind you to wear safety gears such as helmets when travelling on motorbikes at speed, never leave your personal belongings to people you don’t know, be sure to keep your belongings safe in a hotel locker etc, as your health & safety is more important to us.
