Karachi, Pakistan ➖ After a short flight from Lahore to Karachi, I was back where the first Pakistan series began. It was nostalgic walking out of those airport gates, reminding me of my first trip here in 2021. I decided to head to the main road to find a rickshaw to Clifton Beach where I was staying. Luckily enough, I found a friendly local who dropped me at the rickshaw stand and I got a ride for 600rs.
After struggling to find my accommodation, I finally checked into my beachfront hotel with views of Clifton Beach. It was then time to head out to the beach and have some fun! I reluctantly got a short horse ride to the main part of Clifton Beach where the action takes place. But after the ride finished, I was shocked to be asked for 3000rs when we originally agreed on 200rs. With scams like this, I try my hardest to not give in, as it can affect how tourists are scammed after me. But this guy just wouldn't stand down, after a few minutes of arguing and a bit of physical action taking place, I decided to run over to some friendly locals to get me out of this situation. After another 5 minutes of arguing, the horse scammer wouldn't back down and we finally settled for 1000rs.
This was the first time something like this has happened to me in Pakistan, but luckily I could rely on the friendly Pakistani people to get me out of this tricky situation. Afterwards, we found an ATV and chatted to some more friendly locals on the beach.

My thoughts upon the recent news of the horse boy being arrested.
Thank you to Karachi Police for taking action and dealing with this situation accordingly, and most importantly keeping Pakistan 🇵🇰 safe 🙏
I do want to say something quickly.
This boy is young just like myself, and we all make mistakes... especially as youngsters.
I hope he learns from this experience and treats others with the respect they deserve. I don't know how the legal process works in Pakistan or what is to be done next. But I do ask of everyone that if you see this young boy, please be kind.
I know what he did was upsetting and unacceptable, and surely he will learn from this. But being kind to one another is the most important thing, even if we've made mistakes in the past.

Cool video, man. I'm a new subscriber now, and I dont subcribe too much. I'm not so sure about the horse being whipped. If they were actually hitting the horse, it would have used it's power. I can't think of the name of it right now, but use those in training. Some are very long, and the horse reacts to the vision of it and the popping noise.

There's always good guys in the end coming for rescue. Just like Dale Phillip, the horseman treathened him with the horse "Danger, Danger". They kept harassing him, until someone helped him out.
Luke is absolutely a gem for Pakistan.
I have seen in the comments everybody is apologising him and motivating him but nobody had appreciated and said kind words for those two guys(from Multan) that helped him technically saved him.

What do you mean by "That's what should you do..."? They weren't even locals, the guy was from Multan and he gave the scammer 500Rs(1000-500) out of HIS OWN POCKET. An option would have been to call the police or at least scare him that you would do(they usually back off), but since it's Karachi, I don't expect that to work. The situation wasn't handled well and justice wasn't served here. Well, atleast bhutto zinda hai, lagay rahoo...

My family is Pakistani my parents and I live in the UK before i was born. We visted Pakistan in 2021 and there was a lot of scammers. One woman had followed our car and pretended to be injured begging for money to get a ride to the hospital we gave her a fair amount for rickshaw but she started begging for much more we said no and she threw the money we gave her back and spat on the car saying I hope a child in your family dies.. and then she walked off and fake rebandaged her arm going off to the next car. No matter where you go there are scammers around the world and they dont always go after just foreigners but anyone who looks to have money. This situ just reminded me of that but its awful that this happens. However for every horrible 1 there is a better 10. 😊
