22LR will go through the 1975 Kansas City White pages and about an inch into the Yellow pages. Did it in the basement. Glad no one was home cause it was a lot louder than I figured.
😆😆😆
I've been inside several times when guns were fired indoors. 2 were on accident and 2 on purpose. The on purpose was for 22 shorts. The accidents were for a 44 mag by my idiot brother and a 6mm by my brother in laws idiot friend. It's ALWAYS louder by about 2x inside.
Made me laff.
@@DT-kr1km I would stay away from both
For guys bad things always happen in the basement. That's okay because no sensible woman would ever go there. That means we'll keep doing stupid things in the basement. 'Hold my beer, watch this.....'
Next time I have 300 paper plates I’m going to attack them. With hotdogs and potato salad
I don't think a flying hotdog will penetrate more than 2 paper plates. And ballistic potato salad is being silly.
This made me laugh hilarious 👍👍👍Jr trout
🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭☠️☠️
Before you do it, let meeat the hot dg
My old man has slayed so many north Texas predators with his old 22 magnum lever action rifle.
North Texas predator? Are those Californians that got lost?
I have taken a many cows & pigs with 22 lr. Shot placement is key.
At the 7:52 mark, the 22LR injured 84 paper plates and the 22MAG injured 212 paper plates. BIG DIFFERENCE THERE. My only concerns are if the barrel lengths are equal and not shooting from the same rifle brand/type. My armchair quarterbacking at its finest. Nothing is impossible to the person that does NOT have to do it, like me. Thanks for all you do.
WHOO_TEE _WHOO, I think your screen name was GOMER PYLES secret owl call/signal on TV. Of course you would/should already know that.
I have a .22lr marlin that I've had since I was 9 years old. I'm bought my .22 WMR when I was 35. My favorite round all time is the .22 mag, ever since I bought it. I can count on one hand how many times I've shot my .22 LR since 2012, I can't count how many times I've shot my .22 magnum since I bought it. Does at least three times the damage vs a LR. I'm not surprised at the results. Great fun video as always on my absolute favorite CZcams channel.
My baked beans are going to leak right through those plates now
😆😆😆
Well that's why ya have masking tape to block the holes,
@@jerrybobteasdale Plug the hole with the sturdiest bean you can find in the can, man!
That was so wrong on so many levels. 🤢🙃🤣
Just enough info to be educational and plenty of fun too. Always enjoyable to watch.
I knew the Magnum was going to do it but I didn't know that it would kill it by that much
it's crazy to think people givin you a hard time. you guys take so much of your time doing these great videos- keep up the great work!
I agree.....you go get you own plates and bullets..
just think how crazy you are he is getting paid to advertise dont be a fool.
Awesome video as always! I have been meaning to get a 22 magnum for a while. Hopefully soon.
.22LR or .Magnum, all I heard when I was growing up, was that no one wanted to be shot with a .22. PERIOD!
Love watching how you test all the guns, good job.
Thanks for watching Carlos
Very entertaining , another fun video . I try to watch them all . a great break in a hectic world .
I love these videos. 10/22 and Savage both legendary rim fires. I’ll never give up on 22 or 22wmr, they’re awesome calibers and in times like we have now, great training tools to keep sharp, and have fun destroying plates and soda cans and things :)
Thanks for another fun video that makes me smile
💥💥💥
I have an old Savage 65 M. It's my go to gun. Fun to shoot. It has plenty of punch and and is really accurate at greater distances.
Thanks for sharing great video. I used to have a savage 22 magnum rifle, very reliable for the money. I shot an old pine post, guessing around 5 inches in diameter at close range straight through no problem. Definitely a round that packs quite a punch. 👊
Paperplates test are my favorite !!! Specially when is rimfire
I was always interested in the .22 mag. Early on I bought the NAA .22 mag. Since then I bought a few more including a left hand Savage rifle with a scope. It's Accurate. Last year I bought the Kel-Tec PMR-30 and I love it.
Good video. Very interesting to see the difference in the round penetration. I think I am going to do this test myself, but shooting 4 different offerings. CCI mini mag, CCI stinger in 22 LR. Then CCI Maxi Mag, Hornady Ballistic Tip in 22 Magnum. Have a CZ 452 Ultra Lux 22 LR and a Mossberg Chuckster 22 Mag as my test rifles.
I am curious as to what will be the outcome :-)
Another great vid. I love hanging out with you at the range. All the best from Australia.
Really appreciate you watching Gordon!
The one thing I like is the accuracy of both with bare sights, No scope needed in most applications.
Both these have gotten faster and better over time. I remember when a 22 LR was topping out at about 1000 fps. I just started shooting 22 wmr a few years back and I'm impressed with how high it makes the needle go on the fun meter 👍🇺🇲
Also keep doing what u are doing u make great videos and don’t let nobody tell you different
The 22 mag bullet in next to last bunch of paper plates, has there been one with 22 pistols and paper plates done, good video and a shout out to heavy metal
Nice video thanks. One thing that wasn't mentioned. The magnum bullet is fmj. Where as the lr. Was lead only. Makes a lot of difference. Thanks again
Love the video. Just wondering if you could do a paper plate test of auto vs bolt action in 22lr. Always wondered if there is a noticeable difference.
Great review
Loved your last video. Loved this one. Love the .22 Mag
Great video!! I didn't know the magnum was twice as powerful. It would have been nice to see the 22 short, in this mix. Still, we appreciate this great video!!
Kept waiting for you to pull the trigger, and was like oh wait he already did lol! So used to seeing the larger caliber guns.
Great video! Thank you for keeping us entertained.
Thanks for watching!!!
@@WHOTEEWHO your welcome right when I get back from hunting I get to watch these videos it makes my day better I have been hiking 10 miles every day sometimes 14 miles and I'm getting really worn down its hard to get an elk where I live because its so thick and brushy i seen some tracks today so hopefully tomorrow I see a big bull if not I'm going to just start dressing real warm and staying in the woods for the night so I don't scare them off its going to be freezing with no fire
Great guns, great video! Thanks for doing these. Now I know why there's a paper plate shortage......ha ha ha
Finally some paper plate tests, you have a lot of new toys to test on the plates and they are cheap and make a “really fun video”
Always appreciate you watching lil mike
That’s some really dense paper too !!
I have an old Savage 65M 22 magnum. My Dad got it in the mid 60s. It pack plenty of punch and is accurate at 200 yes. I love it. It's a tight solid little gun. My favorite go to gun and gun to shoot.
Should thought the 22 short in there too. You know just for grins and giggles. Who-tee-who
Yup
The savage for 22lr is amazing for the price.
“Requested too many times to count”
*goes and counts 7364837384 individual paper plates*
most underrated round, 22mag. good for everything from self-defense to big game, to small game. it will get the job done, at 1/2 the cost of other calibers today. great review, thanks
Right on
I'd like to see this again. However er I'd like to see the plate a 1/4 inch apart from each other . Cause I think that will make less of a drag on slowing the bullets. Rather rhen shooting them compressed together..
Bro. You are exactly right! I just figured it out. Thanks so much, you rock!
Awesome!
Good stuff.Would love to see the same comparison with hand guns.
At 7:07 the 22 mag slug is on the bottom of the stack. LOL that was funny!!!
Good vid! Whoteewhoo!
Went straight to the results...that all we need!
😭😭😭
Wow love the videos
The 10/22 is 18.5" and the Savage is 21"and because the power is by the velocity squared, that extra 13%+ could make the difference.
22 WMR - 40 gr CPHP - CCI Maxi-Mag 1269-1356fps out of a 4.3" barrel. 15.5-17.3 penetration in ballistic gel.164 ft/lbs.
22 LR - 40 Grain CPHP - CCI Velocitor 1027-1069 fps out of a 4.4" barrel. 14-20.2 penetration in ballistic gel.101 ft/lbs.
So, regarding penetration, the difference between one shot and the next, much less barrel length, could make that difference.
I've got a cz 22 Magnum and new it would nail that little paper plate test , awesome little caliber.
💪💪💥💥💥
CCI make some pretty awrsome rounds for 22lr the velocitor's and the stingers 👍
Stangers
@@Evergreen1400 Beat me to it.
@@Evergreen1400 good ol stangers one hell of a little round👍
@@robertstojcevski1098. Sure are, I loooove me some Stangers and pretty much anything CCI makes. My favorite budget .22lr or just regular plinking ammo is the Blazer .22lr, blazer is CCI.
@@Evergreen1400 unfortunatley my cz loves the winchester power points more but yet to try the stangers in browning lever action
Convinced me. I'll use 22 magnum as home defense. Put enough of those in a home intruder, and you'll still keep your hearing.
Awesome! Was the 22mag under the plates when you lifted them up at 7:08?
Interesting video . . . thanks for sharing with us . . . all the best & stay well !!!
Thanks for watching Stan
I have had no probs with my PMR-30. I wish it were quieter, but trigger, sights & reliability are great.
Very entertaining m8 I was surprised 👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Even the CCI subsonic .22 rounds are deadly. Shot a few blocks of wood with it, only 1/2 inch less then a .22lr mini-mag.
I got a Volquartsen trigger for my 10/22, couldn’t be happier.
6:43 you can see it fall right after you flip the plate
.22 Mag: probably my favorite round.
Dang really? I love it also
Should do the paper plate test with some kind of incendiary round.
Have a Marlin 22WMR, shoots one hole after; I took trigger out and polished it GOOD, Bedding in the cheap plastic stock, Installed 24x Leopold target scope. Bedding in Devcon aluminum epoxy made the biggest difference!
I thought my marlin 782 in 22mag was accurate until I bought a cooper 57M Jackson squirrel rifle in 22mag. My cooper is more accurate at 100yds than the marlin is at 50yds.
Another awesome vid! Great comparison rounds with surprising results. 22lr is very underrated round! Whoooo teeee whooooooo!!
Thanks for watching k parker!
I would have loved to see either stingers or velociters or interceptors used on the .22 Anyway thanks buddy for the time and effort you always deliver
Thanks for watching Robert
I used to like to use outdated Monkey Wards catalogs,(or sears) no need to count anything, just open up to the last page holed, and look at page number--just don't slip up and get a current catalog-not well received by parents. However, those catalogs are likely sought after artifacts from the past now!
What ammo did you use? What was weight & type of bullets especially?
Oh man wish you would have also included the PMR30 shooting in this test.
Great video!!
Thanks for watching Woodbury Walker!
I love 22wm for personal protection.
I'd like to see the difference between the two rounds and barrel lengths vs clay blocks😈
Back over 60 years ago a Boy shooting at Birds on a tree limb killed another boy one Mile away with a 22 LR, the bullet hit the boy in the temple-killed him instantly. I have noticed that the Stinger 22 shells have a warning on box--3 mile range so they are much hotter shell than the ones that killed the boy--According to Statistics. more people have been killed by 22's than any caliber on the market...
I would like to see the same test done again with a bolt action 22. LR. The .22 LR loses a lot of energy in a semi automatic
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Haha it's just a suggestion, keep up the great videos. Always enjoy them and they often satisfy my sense of wonder.
Chad Henson: I was thinking the same thing, 22lr bolt should pick up perhaps another 15-25 plates compared to the semi auto
I’ve got a Marlin .22WMRVand love it
The Savage .22wmr, as a bolt action, should be able to fire both the .22lr and the .22wmg. You'd have to manually load the .22lr into the breach though.
I mention this as there may be minor differences between the Ruger and the Savage that may or may not play a role in the results.
Nvermind.... I forgot that the magnum is just slightly larger... results of the .22lr in the magnum would be catastrophic for the casing at the very least.
You hook me into to these tests. I might just go right in by, but my curiosity gets the best if me every time.
22 Magnum definitely.
Thanks for watching David!
Awsome video. This re uploaded video from when had old house? Big difference their. Had a savage 93gv in 17hmr sold off to my dad did like the .17cal. Been think about a 10_22 build. Or a 22mag. Either a rough rider revolver? Or 22mag rossi make that is semi auto
22 magnum bullets are kinda magical. Have a heck of a time ever trying to recover one.
As always beautiful video & amazing work but I’m suggesting for next time telling us the distance you shooting from . Best regards to my brother & god bless America .
Great Video!
Always appreciate you watching
I love that 93 setup man I have the same exact setup scope and all people give me a hard time for my 35 dollar scope until out shoot them with my sub 300$ rifle I love it
Great comparison. I've have both calibres love them both but have taken many foxes and rabbits past 100mtrs with the magnum. Cheers
I'd like to see you do this again .. but from the same revolver like a heritage rough rider or a convertible ruger single six
Is the magnum just thinly plated or does it have a jacket? It would be nice to see the difference with the same type of bullet.
Fun to watch, but I think there is also the difference between the rifles at itself semi against bolt action
Since you're doing 25-06 reviews now I would like to see 25-06 vs 30-06 paper plate challenge
Nice test
I would like to see you do a video on the 25-06 vs 30-06 on the clay.
Very good video but would like bolt action to bolt action and the same brand rifle used, and barrel length. Do know the magnum would win but would like to see if a bolt action .22 from a savage rifle would do better than from a semi auto ruger 1022
great video
The 22 Magnum bullet went to Valhalla after a job well done!
Hey great experiment but comparing apples to oranges. The WMR is a bolt lock up pushing all the energy down the tube.
The LR is a blowback action and a portion of the energy doesn't go down the tube but is instead used to cycle the bolt
Awesome comparison, love my 22 MWR's Have you compared pistol vs rifle in 22 LR / 22 WMR ?
Any buddy use the cci stingers with 1600fps hp, they do great in my 10/22
loved my .22 mag Marlin model 782
I love my rugers. Have both versions, 22lr and 22 mag. It's a shame ruger stopped making the magnum in 1998 I think, but I am still able to get magazines in 23 and 25 round capacity. Too bad there's not a speed loader for the magnum, like the ones for the 10/22.
Thanks for watching John
Try the magnum research 22 wsm I love mine coyotes cant seem to take them quick folow up shots
Watched later today. Like all my 22mags check out the little badger it’s a pack gun in 22 mag under 150$ and shoots good god bless Who tee Who
I love my Ruger precision rimfire in 22lr to practice for prs matches
appreciate the videos, i can only imagine the houra that go into each video
Tons of hours. All on top of my real job. Appreciate you watching bigtime Jay
Thanks for the video. I have a 22mag. pistol but i am still looking for a rifle . Hard to find right now.
Hey who tee who can you try 38 plus p vrs 9? Great video!
around 6:42 something dropped out of the plates.
Once again a fantastic show I love to show man and I am a big fan of the 22 magnum
The Fiochi FMJ 22 mag will go much farther than a hollow point. Whats type of bullets were these and what brand? I had a Fiochi FMJ go almost 2" into stacked maple plywood. The CCI FMJ was right behind it but not as good. Hollow points ( all brands) stopped at 1 1/4". I enjoy your videos all the time!!!!!!.............Cheers, Jim
