- If you're sick of mushy fish and love it when it comes off in big tasty flakes, but also don't want a lot of mess, you have to try this recipe. We wrap each fillet in tinfoil and bake it to perfection.

When it comes to fish, he is very picky in how it is prepared.
Wow really big pieces of cod there. I love this fish dish and eat lots of fish each week a long with my meat substitutes.
My grocery store loves large cod pieces and I am not complaining.

Another John takeover! Hip Hip HOORAY!! He didn't wave his hands mysteriously in this one though just went right in for the fish. LOL! Looks like a good recipe and way to cook fish though I would be putting a knob of butter on the filet before baking. Thanks!
Knob of butter would work wonders. We are just dairy free this month. When cooked fish is in front of John, he just tucks right in.

I'm new to your place ,so I think to be honest I think by watching your starting program you have been getting a little bigger ,and wondering if you might explain why , trying to get on a good eating sistem myself and was very excited with your ideas but something is beginning to change so if you are able to tell what is going on be so nice for people like me ,never been 300 pounds or close ,just keep putting on pounds since getting menopausal from surgery when I was forty years old so do you think this is good for me or not

Debbie, I appreciate your thoughtfulness, and I don't mind answering. I lost about 150 pounds, then got diagnosed with cancer and went into premature menopause after the hysterectomy. We'd hoped to have kids. So not only have I been dealing with severe hormone related issues, I'm frequently depressed that I'll never have kids. We were doing fertility treatments when this was discovered.
Working on a lot of stuff right now. The diet works just fine. But one thing I am trying to do (now) is trying to reduce the amount of fat in it - the idea being I'll start drawing on my own fat, and not the fat I eat. We'll see. Trying lots of things in an effort to jumpstart the weight loss again.

My late husband and I went through years of infertility treatments... then we became pregnant with our son, Adam, who was stillborn. Then two years later, we were blessed with our beautiful daughter, who is now 21. Both children were conceived via IUI. I deal with years of emotional eating, and have been trying the low carb, low fat way. I’m enjoying learning new recipes from you. 💗

If you don’t like thyme or rosemary, what other spices would you suggest to use?
If you want to keep the lemon you can use fresh dill weed, oregano, basil or marjoram. Chilies and black pepper combo work with lemon too. Old bay would work with this for more traditional sea food approach. Or you can skip the lemon and add the seasonings you like!

Need to use something else to cook the fish. Aluminum foil is bad!
Well you can use glass, ceramic or stainless steel if you prefer but you do need to cover it when baking.
