Small tip, consider speeding up the (you figuring out how to disassemble the thing) part, next time.

If you taking the button cap OFF. Might would help. If it is not glued.
I did not see BMS on the battery. Should be in the pack. If the battery discharged bellow the minimal voltage they will be damaged and the next charge they will puff-up.
You can see they prepered for the possibility by using foam to secure the battery.Wooould be better if the battery comparment transparent so you can see if something is about to getting bad.
I would not leave that thing un attended in the house (Especially, during charging). I have bad experiance on the programming of the chienese battery BMS-s aswell.
If the PCB heats up. The PCB-s resistance can decrease. The voltage spikes during welding can further damage tha PCB. That is why I would not use small insulation distances.
Thank you for this info. It's being kept in a fireproof box. I keep almost all lithium powered devices, that are not frequently used, in such a box.
Button cap is glued. I mentioned in the video. That is the reason everything was so complicated.
I think the only battery management is the one being done on the main pcb. As long as it works corectly everything is ok. If that fails, battery goes boom.
Overall, sadly, safety is not at all a priority for China manufacturers.
