I watched this on the Network a few years ago and I laughed myself silly when I saw the face reactions of Schiavone, Hudson and Fatass Mark Madden after the Sting vs Vampiro Inferno Match and I was like "What were you guys expecting the goal of an Inferno Match is to set your opponent on fire"
Love this series, trying to make sense of WCW insanity of the 2000's this truly a herculean task. 👍🏽

My absolute favorite series, Jack's comedy fits the format perfectly and Luke's editing and interactions with him are such a fun touch! U guys helped me get into wrestling. Love ya

Don't worry, you probably didn't want that Hulk Hogan pool float anyway Jack. Word has it even if you manage to lay upon it, it bucks you off exactly after three seconds to keep itself looking strong in defeat brother brother Jack.
Also, if Naked Snake had ever met Vampiro he would have shit a brick. Famously he's deathly petrified of vampires.
I remember I had the VHS tape from Blockbuster of this PPV. The Goldberg heel turn pissed me off at 9 years old 😂 still does!!
Thank you so much for covering this ppv! I was 8 when I attended this event with my dad and remember seeing all the police cars outside the arena and being kind of scared from it. BUT, nothing beats that weird ending of Sting vs Vampiro! That was so surreal to see that happen live, and watching back now it obviously was such a goofy stunt to end that match. Then of course feeling like I was betrayed with Goldburg turning heal.

Honestly, I had no idea that Rey Mysterio was ever a heel…. I stopped watching WCW around 2000, so I had no clue this New Blood stable even existed!
New Blood vs. Millionaires Club was a mess to say the least.
This is now my favourite series on Cultaholic, just love seeing Jack let loose with his humour in these videos. Oh and Luke's editing for this is always amazing haha

Someone tell him about the ending of Slamboree 2000 (The PPV prior to this) being Kanyon being thrown off the Ready To Rumble Cage and the fact it happened in the Kemper Arena.

Funny bit of info involving The Police. Sting the wrestler, owns the trademark to the name. So the musician has to pay some small pittance a year to use the name.
Given how things were going for wCw at that time, wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't Juvi trying to gtfo of there.

This era of wCw sounds like entertainment in retrospect. It's like, "Wow, they actually did all that." I can't imagine seeing it as it happened.

Fun fact, I’m from Baltimore and the Sting Vampiro match is what broke the illusion of wrestling for me. I was crying hysterically cause the Nitro before the PPV I couldn’t decide who I wanted to win since Sting is my favorite all time, but I loved Vampiro also.

I will mention that Goldberg was actually a monster truck that ran on the Monster Jam circuit in 2001 to early 2001, with Tom Meents (the owner of the truck) eventually renaming the truck Maximum Destruction.
