If I can make a request, Every WarGames Match from Worst to Best
I would love to see where the one that took place in Houston at Fall Brawl '93 would be ranked.
I think the NXT ones would be at the top
Zombiekilleryamato yeah that sounds about right
Zombiekilleryamato but if you excluded NXT, Wrestlewar 92 would be at the top
I hated the nxt ones. I found it painful to watch any of them.
Starrcade 1983 holds up really well aside from a weak undercard. Ric Flair's entrance felt so dramatic. The Dog Collar match is definitely one of the most brutal things I have seen. I also owe it to myself to watch Starrcade 1985.
The Magnum TA match is legendary, magnum was going to be Hvwt Champ too, and he still has the best belly to belly.
WCW was a very interesting company. They had some amazing talents like Raven, y2j, Eddie, Benoit and even Austin. But they drive all of them away only to push Hogan. They pushed the past over future.
And WWE making the same mistakes as well
I hope they don't fuck up Drew McIntyre
@@ericsmusic5927 WWE champions
Universal: Bruan strowmann
Intercontinental: vacant
United States: cien Almas
Wwe : Mcintyre
I don't see past
satadal deb There’s a LOT more to WCW than just early Hogan era in the mid 90’s.
Antonio Figueroa wow, that’s a horrible take, but it’s your opinion.
@@lightyagami8645 so you're gonna act like Goldberg wasn't just a champion?
You botched the Magnum TA year. I can see why you’d think the Ronnie Garvin year was the substitute, but no. They turned Nikita face in 86 to replace Magnum. And yeah 85 is the best.
I was just searching to see if anyone else had caught it before I posted on it. Lol
I was literally thinking of this video a few weeks ago, Thank You Cultaholic keep the fantastic work lads❤
Rank every NWA World Heavyweight Champion in TNA
Why not just every NWA Champion ever 😱
Ron Killings is obviously number 1
@@spetterman2916 Probably because they've been in so many different promotions. Unfortunately that's somewhat watered down the prestige of that championship
@@franklingoodwin not to mention there are so plenty phantom champion
@@franklingoodwin in my view I think AJ Styles is number 1
Loving the flurry of WCW content today guys!
Idea : every women’s champ ranked from worst to best
Bigger challenge:
“Every woman, ranked worst to best”
Go.
LuckyDT that’s a tier list lol
Dave Johnson That’ll do as well! No one would ever do it but it would be amazing to see lol
@@LuckyDT Worst : Eva Braun
franklingoodwin Why worst?
I absolutely LOOOOVED Starrcade 1995's WCW vs. New Japan format. I only wish the Flair title win had been a little less dirty. Flair beat Macho Man at an earlier PPV by his own dirty means without the rest of the Horsemen. I wish he had done the same at Starccade 1995.
Holy crap I thought Vader was already in the HoF. He really needs to be put in there.
Magnum TA got paralyzed (temporarily) en route to the 1986 Starrcade, not 1987.
To be honest I really liked the random lottery for tag teams and I still hope they will use it once again in some form.
it's a great idea, just not for Starrcade!
Another great list. Still waiting for you to rank the TNA champions. Give TNA their due, they've been around for 18 years!
The number 1 TNA champion is AJ Styles 2nd is Kurt Angle and 3 is Samoa Joe IMHO
I really hope Cody gets Starrcade, it can be AEW’s flagship PPV.
I’d say it’ll be like a TV special every year like a mini ppv
Squintss1220 Jr. exactly, they could have it as the last show of the calendar year, as a blow off
Musa Abid it’s double or nothing. All out came from all in, which wasn’t just AEW, but all indie
@@FrankieboyJrThat's fine for something like Bash at the Beach but not Starrcade, Starrcade has got way too much history to be reduced to a mere TV special, if Cody owed the rights to it he would undoubtedly make it the biggest PPV of the year for AEW because his Dad made it.
I think it will
Either be number two or three but end the year and end year long feuds
Garvin didn't replace Magnum. Nikita Kolloff did.
I'll always watch these. Love a good walk down wrestlings memory lane. Cheers lads.
That 95 starcade looks legit as hell. Off to the network after this video
I'd like to see our host's dodgy decisions in high school ranked from 'yeah i'd do it' to 'worst'.
I've been watching wcw from 96 onwards and Kevin Nash was ridiculously over in 98. Someone had to break the streak eventually and it protected Goldberg too because it took interference from Hall with a tazer and a jacknife for Nash to pin Goldberg. The problem lied with what happened a few weeks later on Nitro with the finger poke of doom. Nash and Hogan were still massively over throughout 99 though.
If it wasn't for the fingepoke of doom I think that Nash's victory wouldnt be so criticized, its hard to think in this match without knowing what comes next....
It was the Fingerpoke of Doom that most have issues with, also putting the title back on z hogan (barf) c and keeping the NWO going when it should have died the year prior
That's why I love you guys, I've been putting Starcade 85 over for years with my friends. Cheers from Portland OR, USA.
I’m sorely tempted to put WWEs glorified house show.. sorry “starrcade” in the bin
Yo these videos are DOPE... I'm addicted to these things, they're all I watch... Please keep them coming
Still waiting for every clash of the champions or every Saturday nights main event ranked
Cultaholic going wild with the content today! I love it!
Boy, this has been a WCW-centric day, hasn't it?
Starrcade was the WrestleMania of WCW. 96, 97, 98 are my personal favorites
This is amazing wcw content I remember pitching something similar to you guys
The Magnum T.A. match was suppose to happen at Starrcade 86 not 87
Love the NWA/WCW content. Another great video.👍🏆🥇
Love these ranking videos, thanks for the continuous videos even through Lockdown 👍
Every TNA LockDown Six Sides of Steel ranked from WORST to BEST.
the one with malenko and dragon was I think the only time a wwe title got defended on wcw. at the time dragon I believe had the j crown which included an 80's wwe title of cruiserweight vintage that pretty much got sent to japan and other than in wcw never came back to us.
Cultaholic on fire today :D
Funny you mention the idea of an AEW Starrcade, because I'm planning an AEW invasion of WWE in my 2k20 Universe mode, with the big blowoff super show being a revived Starrcade.
Hey,I love your vids, keep up the good work
5:18 “The product of the quality” haha
Seriously though I really appreciate all of the teams hard work to deliver content to us year round. So I think you can be forgiven for the occasional slip up.
Really, I don't know how people can prefer other channels or even call this crap. This is sports entertainment in a CZcams channel like nowhere.
Funny thing: I was about to comment on this, but decided to see if anything else did. And then I saw your comment.
Lex Luger and Ric Flair are the Orton and Cena of old WCW era.
As a kid, I had the VHS of the Starrcade with lethal lottery battle bowl and I loved it ..... even though I knew it was crappy. I am a sucker for high concept matches.
Every WCW television champion ranked from worst to best because I think that is an underrated title that was actually one of the highlights of WCW television no pun intended
Austin I feel was the best and it sucked how he lost title
They had said on Nitro for weeks that Hogan vs Piper was going to be a non-title match. Maybe you all should actually listen to commentary.
Love your videos😍😘
Could u make a ranking of wwe cruiserweight champion🙋🙋💜💜
Video idea: top 15 NWA/WCW super cards (ppvs and clashes)
In the late 90s starcade was right there with Maina 💣
1997 was WrestleMania's lowest buyrate and Starrcade's highest. Such a wild time and crazy how quickly the tide turned by early '98.
Tully and Magnum still holds up to this day. Two guys with a long feud who were completely believable in their hatred of each other. The finish is still one of the most brutal in wrestling history with the broken chair into Tully's eye if only for the screaming Tully did. Also funny that Tessa is the daughter of Tully and the stepdaughter of Magnum. They're forever linked even now.
Magnum and Tully are great friends in real life, which shows great dedication to craft that you believe they hated each other
Nice to see more WCW videos 👍
Great list and I totally agree with the # 1 pick
I liked Battle Bowl when it happened the first time. The Roster wasn't very deep, still I think it was done better than in 92 or 93
Starrcade 1996 is my favorite just because Dean Malenko vs Ultimo Dragon. Perfect match imo
Both put on great matches in 96
@@gqsmoove87 True true. WCW's cruiserweights were what got me hooked on wrestling.
The 1997 edition of Starrcade had a number of matches with replacements or cancellations. In addition to the aforementioned Raven/Saturn substitution, DDP substituted Flair in a match against Curt Hennig, due to a Flair injury. However, that replacement was done a few weeks prior and thus no "bait and switch." On the other hand, Nash no-showed Starrcade for reasons, so instead of a match with the Giant, we got Giant destroying Hall after a Hall promo.
Nash didn’t want to job to Giant, despite all signs pointing to him getting his ass kicked,
Especially when Nash almost killed the Giant trying and failing to power bomb him… if Sting had destroyed Hogan, the show is somewhat saved
Keep the WCW videos coming
good list wow top 5 threw me for a loop. i really thought like 93 and 97 and maybe 87 be in top 5 good video
Hogan vs Piper should have been WM2 main event
I mentioned this this list like a year ago but instead we got 24/7 champs and 2019 ppvs ranked. At least we got it now
I’m not the first to point out that Magnum’s wreck was in ‘86, not ‘87, and he was replaced by a newly turned face Nikita. However, something else I did catch that nobody else has mentioned is in 1984, Tully and Steamboat were fighting for the NWA Television Title, not the US Title. It really was a great match. Tully went over on Steamboat, then lost the title to Dusty not too long after. This was one of the main incidents that caused Steamboat to believe Dusty was burying him, so he was in the WWF a few months later, just in time for the first WrestleMania.
StarrCade 98 and then the eventual Finger Poke of Doom freaking BROKE my heart. That's when my mom had to tell me wrestling wasn't real, I was so upset. 😢
WWE will never let the Starrcade trademark expire mostly because they know that Cody wants it.
I'm pretty sure Magnums wreck was in 86.
Magnum ta was planned for starrcade 86 with flair not 87. So Nikita koloff got the call instead. It did not affect Garvin vs flair in 87!!!!
Idea rank very WWE and WCW PPV in 1995
For WWF: Survivor Series
WCW: Starrcade
Not just 85 ..but Starrcade 86 was also held simultaneously in Greensboro & Atlanta.
86 is a great year and should have ranked higher because it's literally filled with great gimmick matches.
What made starrcade 83 special (at least in my opinion) was the excellent ending and post match celebration!
I think you should do ever wcw ppv ranked year to year, like you did with wwf/wwe
Factual
I'd like to see every Superbrawl ranked from worst to best.
Magnum was supposed to have won the NWA title at the 86 Cade, not 87.
Should do a ranked on the 2000-2001 WCW PPV's
Actuall Magnum TA was hurt in 1986 and a Face Nikita wrestled Ric Flair in that Starrcade. 1n 1987 Ricky Morton was supposed to win the World Title from Flair but he said no because he thought they wanted to break up the RR Express and it went to Ron Garvin instead.
Sids sissors happy did I hear that lol great line lol
These videos r my favorite
Rank every tna bound for glory from worst to best. Would like to see more tna and roh rankings
Starrcade 1998: Kidman vs. Mysterio vs. Guerrera. That shit was awesome!
Best match that night
Nasty Boyz in 94 had two classic street fights with Cactus w Maxx Payne and Kevin Sullivan and Mick takes a shovel to dome on concrete (no Cushing), giving him a concussion, so not the worst tag team by no means in 94 (not my favorite team though)…
Vince Russo was on Vince’s watch and Vince fhrew out every bad idea Russo had, in WCW, Russo had way more freedom and man it went bad since some of us didn’t love the Attitude era and I wouldn’t have minded Brett going out and having 20 minute matches. But Russo without voice of reason, is not the wisest move…
Sting I wish had no sold all of Hogans offense and kicked out at 1, and then do the two three anyways and that is when Brett has a legit case to restart match (or they should have brought him as Stings first opponent and waited and just have Sting squash Hogan, as the story should have called for
I guess i was one of the few that Liked Ronnie Garvin winning the belt ! I popped huge as a kid !!! I mean we all knew he wouldnt hold it long . As Flair ALWAYS won the gold back fairly shortly no matter who it was !
The King of Cable match between Vader and Sting was epic just off the fact Vader came out in a DURAG!!!!!!
All the internet marks and podcasters always trash Starrcade '91. As a nine year old kid, I had never even heard of professional wrestling before seeing a commercial for the show. My grandmother had a descrambler that allowed her to watch PPVs for free, so I begged her to tape it for me just because the commercial was cool. Two days later she handed me a tape with "Stupid Wrestling" on the label, and I am still obsessed 32 years later. That show that everyone says is one of the worst ever is the show that made me fall in love with the business.
High flyer Jushin Liger and strongman Bill Kazmaier. Such an egregious mismatch.
Good vid
C'mon Paciti, Lethal Lottery/Battlebowl was the bomb back in the day, I'd watch the hell out of a modern one now.
I'll never understand how, even in the best of years for business and match quality, Starrcade always seemed to fuck up its main events with nonsensical booking. Seriously how can you screw up the closer of the big show that often!?
More WCW content, please
Starcade 98 had some buzz about it 😏😜😔 ( I'll see myself out)
👍 this if you think Cultaholic should do an "Every IMPACT/TNA World Champion Ranked from Worst to Best" video.
you should do worst to best great american bashes
Starrcade in AEW would be an amazing way to honor Dusty.
If you could, rank every war games match or every Halloween havoc ppv
More WCW/NWA Rankings Please
Oh my god I am excited
Next list;
“All convicted felons in wrestling; ranked WORST to BEST!”
Make it happen.
Real or Kayfabe? Real : Booker T Kayfabe : Nailz (because he attacked Vince McMahon for real)
Would benoit be worst or best? Would he even count as he was never convicted? Questions that need to be answered!
KingsHeathDon91 GTFOutta here with that nonsense
An unimportant comment Nah. Benoit is just a child and woman killer.
@KingsHeathDon91 go away
My mate Andrew Trudgill once angrily insisted WCW was fake and WWF was real. His passion was such I saw no reason not to believe him. And after all these years, I still do
2:05
..Eddie Golden, Dizzie Golden, Ed Boulder, Brute Force, Fur Face..
Can you rank every ladder match from wwe
Man, even the best Starrcade still ends with a BS finish. How did WCW go out of business again?
Larry zabisko wasn't over as a baby face lmfao. I don't even remember him getting much of a push much less doing any wrestling. I'm 33 so I was young back then but I still watched it religiously every week with my parents. The purpose of that match I think was the fans wanted somebody to fight bischoff and anybody else would of been unfair. Zabisko made perfect sense for that match and it may have got him slightly over after that but I think you missed the head on that one
Rank every wwe starcade event
my birth year being number 1 a pleasant surprise
Random question: did Andre the Giant ever wrestle in WCW/NWA? Great vid!
Back before the WrestleMania era Vince Sr let him go wrestle absolutely everywhere. And after he retired he appeared on a Clash of the Champions. Unless it was a Slamboree or something. Also he lived in North Carolina. So I’m guessing he liked the area.
you have starrcade 87 and 86 mixed up. Magnum's car accident happened in 86. In Starrcade 89' it wasn't the Wild Samoans. It was the Samoan Swat Team before they became the Headshrinkers.
thanks!
Dude you totally messed up. '87 was not Garvin replacing Magnum. That was Nikita that replaced Magnum after being so moved by his former enemies wreck that he turned face and aligned with Dusty Rhodes. And another thing, this is the second video on CZcams that has the Garvin win all wrong. Garvin was a MAN. He knocked people out cold with one punch and the Garvin Stomp was brutal and Randy Orton uses it himself. Garvin was over. When he won, the fans in attendance went crazy. His sunset flip off the top was actually shocking because he never did those types of moves and it came out of nowhere. His reign was short for the same reason anybody not named Flair had short reigns. The reason is Flair himself. Dusty had short reigns. Ron Simmons had a short reign. Luger had short reigns. It was actually a common occurrence back then. With all the titles it seemed that someone would win, and then lose it back to the same guy even as short as the next night, but usually within a few weeks or a month. I remember when the Midnight Express beat Arn and Tully when they were leaving for WWF and The Road Warriors beat them for the titles just a couple days later in a match that wasn't even on TV or PPV. Crazy to think about.
So Bummed 1991 was ranked so low I was there live and liked the PPV.
Idea. Every AEW 2018-2019 PPV Ranked
I always wondered did WCW have a Big 4/5? And what were they and how they would be ranked
