Still waiting for the Best Kickoff Show ranked from Worst to best.
All of them that would take 5 days
Andre the Giant memorial Battle Royal
but they would have to count heat since before kickoffs that was technically it
#1 would be Extreme Rules 2014. WeeLC was a masterpiece and match of the night on a show with Evolution vs the Shield
Yoshi Tatsu winning WM 26 Preshow lmao
“Everyone’s favorite insect-based tag team the Killer Bees”
Wow, the disrespect for The Colony is real
El Generico (Sami Zayn) and Paul London had a tag team in PWG called ¡Peligro Abejas! which translates as "Danger Bees!"
I'll never forget that tag team name, I found it so funny.
What about Paul London and Bryan Danielson's Stinging Dolphin Swarm pod?
Lol
@@erikwaterson361 _Insect_ based team, not _aquatic mammal_ based team.
The ‘Mania 34 Triple Threat is so criminally underrated. Glad it got a good spot on the list.
MizWoodStudios it’s not underrated especially when it made the list in a perfectly acceptable spot.
Mania 34 is underrated in general. The only bad matches were the world title matches. Other than that it was a really good show.
Prince Meng mania 34 had the most disappointing and pointless icon vs icon match of all time with John Cena vs Undertaker, and a child won the tag team titles... it’s an okay Mania at best
@@docjohnny7253 I fucking hated it. I was expecting a lot and everything turned out to be a joke. I expected the Braun & *mystery partner* vs The Bar match to bring some energy back from watching a lackluster show 5 hours straight and you know what, a fucking kid turned out to be the partner. Everything about WM34 is not underrated, its underwhelming.
@@TheDirtySouth404 YEAH A CHILD WON THE TAG TITLE THATS SO COOL HOW IS THAT BAD
Haven't watched yet, but Owen/Bret at WM10 is the best opening match in mania history. The match itself was fantastic, and it played perfectly into the storyline of the whole show, which ended with Bret winning the title at the end as Owen watched on in jealousy from the ramp, kayfabe knowing that he was the better man and setting up their great feud blowoff perfectly.
Homie does a seated senton "yeah thats a move", meanwhile Rey Rey does it every match lol

Santana and Michaels could have had an instant classic if they came up in the same era. Tito was awesome and underrated. Come to think of it he really doesn't get enough credit for his innovations in style at all.
It was a solid match. Needed another 7-8 minutes.
Owen vs Bret, Wrestlemania 10 gets my vote
Erich Shoup I is the only right answer
Couldn't agree more, still among my top 5 WrestleMania matches to watch
The match itself is great, and both the long term and short term (for the show itself) storytelling are just genius. God I miss this kind of writing in WWE.
Yeah baby!
Erich Shoup stole the show to open it. Bret closing that show as the champion is what makes the event so great.
Unironically the opener for Mania 22 should be higher up on the list, Kane put on an absolute clinic that night
Yeah, this was around the time Kane & Big Show had that shockingly good technical wrestling match on Raw.
@@atticus5106 which one?
At WMVI, Koko hit a missile drop kick, and landed on his feet! ON HIS FEET!
So did Psycho Sid one time.... but we know what happened there..
I think HHH vs Bryan is the greatest opener ever. That match was amazing, told a great story and Bryan winning was a MASSIVE POP from the New Orleans crowd and the story advanced to the main event where Bryan got his feel good win that was LONG OVERDUE
Nope, only 2nd best. Nothing beats Hart v Hart at WM10. Absolutely nothing.
Such a dumb statement. Bret vs Owen is the best
IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK 😭
I knew Bret vs Owen would be number one before the video started. One of my all time favorite matches and rivalries, and they had an even better match at Summerslam that year in a cage
On the network there’s an episode of “Timeline” that summarizes that entire feud really well
That wrestlemania 31 IC championship ladder match line up was insane
49 minutes of my life gone. No regrets
I went to mania 34 for my 16th birthday and I was so happy it was such a good show. Also it's hilarious that every raw I have been to, I saw undertaker. Also seen brock and goldberg.
Thank you Cultaholic Lads! Perfect time for a video. Appreciate all the hard work from you
I always love these huge rankings you guys and Triple Jump do. I commend you all, too, because I probably wouldn't have the patience to even make a Top 10 😂. I hope the whole team is doing well and staying safe 💜
Great list.
I agree 👍 💯 this is a great list
The GOAT is here lmao
I recently rewatched mania 2000 for the first time since airing, and was also quite surprised at Bull
Sheamus vs Bryan was a good match in terms of long term booking. Plus, the Extreme Rules Rematch kind of healed what was damaged.
But its fucking Wrestlemania and the main title match lasted 20 seconds. WTF!!!
Just because it had good long term effects and the match at the next ppv was great, doesn't mean it doesn't deserve bottom of the list. When I saw the match at extreme rules, I immediately thought "Why wasn't this the match at wrestlemania?!"
I don't care about giving a classic match which no one is gonna remember years from now. If it weren't for these type of matches and character work. Daniel Bryan would just be another vanilla indie midget that no one gives a crap about.
Giving the company WAY too much credit to call that long term booking. WWE had no interest in doing anything of note with Bryan, and the fan reaction after that WrestleMania going forward is certainly not part of some subtly McMahon genius.
If fans weren't threatening to boycott Wrestlemania 30, Bryan would never have been inserted into the main event. Vince wanted Orton vs. Batista.
The "Yes Movement" wasn't just kayfabe.
You guys are putting so much content out at the moment that you're getting a new patreon next payday!

Hey @CultaholicWrestling I just thought of something when it came to Y2J vs Regal at Mania X-Seven where Adam said "It was 2001, everyone was over".
I wanted to also point out that X-Seven may have been the Grand Finale for the Attitude Era, but it was in a way a graduation/farewell to old and welcoming the new beginning for WWE.
At the time with each match on the card, (minus a choice few) had a story that was entertaining going into their grand showdown.
Regal vs Y2J in a way felt to me like it was Jericho's graduation from being a solid upper wildcard talent to World Champion later on in the year and by the end of the year 1st ever Undisputed Champion.
Gotta love Wrestling History and hard work paying off.
Now That's What's Goodie!
😁✌
Owen vs Bret of course is number 1! It was the best.
TRUE!
😢 Fans should make these lists...
I’m gonna rank this video as #1 in terms of long form Cultaholic ranking videos.
You know, if they *really* need Mania to be 9 hours, holding it at three different venues wouldn’t be the worst idea.
Everytime Adam Pacitti is the one hosting, I always imagine hearing “What Happened to that Wrestler” after he says “Join us” 🤣
Really appreciate the work you guys are putting in during these times.Thank you from Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦
Whoever did the editing on the video: Great job!
Can anyone say recency bias on the placement of Rollins Vs Lesnar.
But seriously, another great video.
RichardWright Was a terrible match
I love the humor and snarkiness of the random comments and images throughout this video!
I already knew and had the feeling that Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs. Owen Hart was going to take the number 1 spot on this list. That match was definitely a Classic and a Great opener for WrestleMania X.
Bull Buchanan looks like that time Kurt Angle was in The Shield.
Kurt angle is the shield, looks like bull Buchanan.
Also another fun fact!
Wrestlemania 35 was not just the night all 3 major title changes went through as planned but all was members of WWE 3 biggest factions of the modern era,The Shield (Rollins), The New Day (Kingston) and The 4 Horsewomen (Lynch)
The Snowman was the legit nickname for Al Snow in ECW
WM31 was my first WM I've ever seen live on PPV, I was away from the product since 2001 and that opening match hit all the right notes. One of, if not the best ladder match I've ever seen. I wondered how the rest of the card that night would top that since they started so strong but they proved me wrong. Solid Wrestlemania.
How is Luger and Bulldog vs the Blue Twins ranked above Shawn Michaels bs Tatanka which actually was a good match?
I agree, but he had a # of questionable choices
SM v Tatanka was just ok.
@@adamrenfrow It's still better than some of these other matches
Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus was cut short to make sure there was room for the HHH and Rock matches. They both got about 30 minutes of actual match time, Mania 28 is the only mania to have two matches go over half an hour.
Can we appreciate the brilliant editing on this vid?
Bret vs. Owen was the obvious pic, and the right one. A true masterpiece.
Surprisingly The Masters Of Cool vs Kane and Big Show was entertaining
Too much love for ladder matches.
Never enough love for ladder matches

Of course Frankie B Ware didn't interfere. He's a babyface! Do you even know how wrestling works?
I assume those flames are a reference to the house fire that claimed that poor bird.
Owen vs Bret was also perfect for setting up their future storyline and bouts, just look at the main event of Summerslam 94, you can already see the build up culminating from their wrestlemania match
Man what a great video. I wish you would do a video on Steve Blackman. He is one of the few come and go wrestlers I really liked. Unfortunately he disappeared as fast as he appeared lol
Man, I forgot just how badly Regal would fold people up with his suplexes. Physicality that is sorely missed.
My all time favorite Wrestlemania opener probably has to be Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H from Wrestlemania 30
FACTS!!!!!!!!! BEST HHH WM MATCH since wm 17 , 20 , 22 & 24
@@vampirascoffin870 agreed
JBL rocketing the trashcan lid at hornswoggle on the outside was the highlight
Think the best thing about Bret vs Owen was the finish, no one expected the King of Harts to win it. It was just a pure masterclass that is sadly missing this day and age
9:03 made my day!! 😂
You rascals, you had me watching this entire vid just to make sure Bret vs Owen is number one. Excellent vid.
Bull Buchanan was criminally underrated in 2000.
Guy looked like a beast too.
Then in RTC, he showed he could cut a promo.
Yet, after 2001, they gave up on him.
Great video and I agree with the order 😁
Can I suggest a countdown from worst to best most satisfying moment of all the Wrestlemania closing moments? Beniot/Eddie, Hogans posedowns, Bryan underdog, Warrior, Savage..
Be a very interesting and tough to position
so much quality content in the time of need! thank you!

New/Different Editor? Transitions seemed alot quicker and scenes seemed different to the usual (for lack of better words), Not a complaint just something i noticed for some reason.. good job Whoever! this content is what helps especially through uncertain times :D
Can't wait for our two opening matches this year
"The winner of both matches from WM10 meeting in the main event" so how did bret get to face yokazuna if he lost to owen then?
Yeah, I'm not sure he was even watching at the time. Winners of the Royal Rumble earned a title shot, but both challengers were known to have a non-title match at WrestleMania X (which was repeated incessantly throughout the event's hype). Since Lex won the cointoss, Bret had to face Owen. If Bret had won the cointoss, then Luger would have faced Crush. With Crush and Savage already at odds, the cointoss was as predictable today as it was back then.
Random thought, but I feel this is an unwritten rule of wrestling. If you wrestle two nights in a row (to showcase endurance) you lose your first match before usually winning a big one. Bret put over Owen before winning the world title, Becky put over Asuka before winning the Rumble, Jericho lost to HBK before winning that scramble match, Rollins lost to Orton before having the hiest if the century, exceptions would be tournaments though
Lex won the coin toss to compete first, but the Bret vs Owen match was made, so Bret was guaranteed the main event, and because Lex vs Yokozuna was happening first, we were guaranteed to have both competitors in the main event having two matches to make it fair. That’s actually how I felt Wrestlemania 35 should have gone with the women. Becky Lynch vs Nia Jax (they had beef for months), then Ronda vs Charlotte in a Winner Take All title match, and then Becky faces the winner of that for both belts. I feel it would have been better than a so-so triple threat match and would have squashed several feuds.
I love lists. Thank you Cultaholic for consistently changing the culture.
I remember when Daniel Bryan lost in 18 seconds and my mom yelling,” I paid 50 dollars for this”? 😂
“Now this match is EXACTLY what the Opening match should be” - Adam Pacitti (about every 2 entries)
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross versus Asuka & Kaire Sane was EXACTLY what the opening match should be!!
I went to WrestleMania 28 and I was so excited to finally see Daniel Bryan perform and was yelling Yes chants at the top of my lungs in my section, to get everyone else hype, little did I know.
Still two pf my favorite title wins eddie and chris both winning titles on one night and celebrating like the true friends they were.
Cultaholic really about to make a list about every wrestling topic imaginable.
God Jack, I can't believe that "Theodore Three Belts" joke. Obviously his name is Mikey Many Belts.
Wait...Jericho vs Reval was absolutely great. I watched it a few months ago and thought they match was one of tge best matches i ever seen.
Bret vs Owen at Mania X was for the longest time my favourite wrestling match ever.
That's a pretty good ranking here. And it's right about first 2 positions. Miz vs Balor vs. Rollins is third on my list. One of the best triple threats they ever made

That flying move the Headbanger did just looks like a Seated Senton that Mysterio does no?
Owen/Bret is easily the best opening Mania match. Need I say more?
I liked the WM phase when they started with a MITB match. I knew I was getting some action right away rather than hoping the opening match was good
Thanks Cultaholic
Lol why did you show the Bolchevics when you said Rougues?
Don't forget that on the 25th anniversary of Wrestlmania if you had the CD case with the three disc of all the matches and the hall of fame introductions on the back of the box it spoils what happens in the JBL vs Rey Mysterio for the intercontinental Championship where it says JBL is defending his Championship against Rey Mysterio and right next to it is where it spoils it by showing Rey Mysterio holding the intercontinental Championship up high meaning he won the match which means it spoiled who would win the match already before you watch it
I knew the number 1 before the video even started
Man do I love closed captions..@ the 14:51 mark instead of "mary-jew-anna" I get "marriage awareness" cigarettes 😂😂😂
I skipped ahead to see number 1 and I am glad it was this. What a match. Was amazing

I have a question do they televise the preshow for WrestleMania
Yay, the Killer Bees are my favorite!

Jon Paul Wokpara well...we would know Rock vs Mankind 1999 RR would be number one.
Of course the match between Bret and Owen would be no 1. That was epic. I love the fact they kept kay fabe going on. After the royal rumble 94 when Bret was exiting the venue by car his kids hid Owen under some coats in the back seat. I wonder Bret told his kids "let's hide uncle Owen so people think he doesn't like me anymore!"
