Regarding the "hit me on my two-way" line: Around 2004-2005, Nextel communications started offering a phone and plan with a separate walkie-talkie channel that didn't use minutes. It was briefly a thing and is mentioned in a few pop songs from the time.
And if I’m not mistaken that feature was only available to others on your plan. For example, kids could only contact mom and dad and siblings w the walkie talkie feature… unless of course my parents lied to me, which is VERY possible bc I was only 10 and my Nextel was STRICTLY for “after school activities and absolute emergencies” 😂😂
@@richardtherichard26 Lol that sounds like something parents would say, but it was actually true.
Chirp? I member something like that
@@nfullenwider you were able to chirp anyone with a Nextele phone not just people on your plan. My entire friend group had prepaid Nextele phones so we could chirp without wasting minutes.
Man my mom and dad had nextel phones.. they were so badass for the time
I can remember being so heartbroken as a kid when Eddie lost the title. He was and still is my favourite wrestler of all time
Viva la raza!
Only because you lie, cheat, and steal.
When Eddie jumped to WWF I tried to find one of those "Eddy Guerrero is my favorite wrestler" shirts from WCW but they didn't market them, it was only for use by Chavo.
Just always remember Eddie decided to give up the belt at the time so he'll always have done his absolute best as WWE Champion
I was so mad that day lol I ordered the bash on ppv 🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣
You are killing it with this series, Jack and Luke. You two have a great dynamic.
He'd kill it if he dropped the corny jokes and kept it straight forward till he develops a natural sense of humor
Killed it like Benoit killed his family
@@MrStaley omg yes , can't stand him , neither on his Interview Show
@@MrStaleyI find his jokes funny, tbh
The Undertaker explained why he buried Paul Bearer on the next Smackdown. He said that the kidnapping made him realize that Paul was his one weakness, and as much as it hurt him to do so, he realized that he needed to get rid of him.
Jack and Luke doing another amazing job on this series! I would definitely love to see December to Dismember 2006 for a Christmas episode of this series. Well done guys!!
Hey that's not a bad idea at all. I wanna see that
That’s one of my favorite ppvs
You will be happy to hear they did, although they dubbed it as one of the worst PPVs ever and pretty much dragged it through the dirt the whole time, kind of a shame that especially the extreme Elimination Chamber got the most hate while (especially as a kid) I just loved the idea of having weapons in the chamber, even though the amount was limited and I desperately hoped you could play this special stipulation in one of the SvR games.
A 43 minute video from Cultaholic? You love to see it! This is an amazing series, I’d like to see more of it!
I watched wrestling on occasion when I was younger in the 90s, but it was 2004 when I became a regular viewer of WWE. The year that had Paul Bearer getting murdered on live TV, Kane "winning" Lita in a match, Lita having a miscarriage, Snitsky punting a baby doll, and Eugene. How I continued watching will forever be a mystery.
Ruthless aggression needs more Love!
I love Jack's performance here, he's so genuinely funny and it always excites me to see a new video with Jack in it.
I actually was at this PPV live! I live in Virginia Beach, not to far at all from Norfolk Va. That angle with Paul Bearer was…..something else. The crowd just sat there in stunned silence like “did this actually just happen?”
I was there too!
How did they pullout that stunt ?
@@ssheikh3598 They pre-recorded the part where they filled it, and had an escape hatch... the live feed cut to the prerecorded bit. I thought I heard everyone in attendance knew?
I love this... it feels like your buddy telling you an insane story with sound effects...
That poor fan who got their seats stolen. That really hit home.....
This series is getting better and better! Well done!
Who was the actor playing the victim?
thanks Jack and all the folks at Cultaholic- was about to creep into a *real* depressed time and this will surely help. perfect timing so to speak! this show was effing weird indeed, and the lineup... oh boy. this is gonna be a doozy
I know the feeling brother. But remember... bad times don't last forever. Bad guys do.
@@chez4prez825 big truth, thanks for that as well!
@@TheLarryburns84 we fellow diddlers gotta stick together💪
For years I always wondered how they buried Paul Bearer in cement without killing him.
Good question.
Maybe they have him surrounded by plexiglass that's inside the box, where after Undertaker fills it with cement, it makes it look like he's buried alive, but he's actually not?
I dunno, I'm just as puzzled lol
@@ajassassin7912 It does make sense. Still, the conclusion of the storyline was weird and Taker ended up "killing" his own father figure.
@@JaimeD. It really was
From memory, I believe they pre-recorded the cement pouring bit and cut to that, from the live feed, at the appropriate time. Must have looked like shit for the live crowd.
It’s called the “7 cites” because Norfolk is in Hampton Roads which is made of the following 7 cites Norfolk, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Hampton, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Newport News. All 7 cites are placed right next to each other.
These may now be my favourite videos from Cultaholic!😂 this then the podcast is TOP TOP TIER
This is such a good series. The editing plus Jack's humor is A+++
Of all things I still remember Kurt Angle announcing that John Cena would defend the US title in that fatal 4 way, followed by Michael Cole saying "How is that fair?"
the angle with Paul Bearer being buried by Taker was to get Bearer off TV for gallbladder surgery and the were going to bring him back sooner until they scripted Undertaker claiming he didn't need Paul Bearer to be a pawn of his weakness. The return of Bearer in 2010 was basically to have Undertaker to regain his "powers" after Kane took them.
Be a responsible parent, show your kids new Jack matches.
😂😂
Too funny and important too!
watching Grunge leg drop New Jack through a press table
Jack’s American accent is amazing 😭😆
Love these videos, you guys are the best!
Kurt angles wheelchair is the French flag 😂😂
Yeah what was up with that.
What's weird, too, is that killing Paul Baarer was NOT a heel turn.
My god this video was good. Jack has some great comedic timing. I'm pretty sure Cena being attacked in the club was to cover for him filming The Marine. Back when Kayfabe was a thing.
The true reason for Adam’s crotchety behavior has been revealed! 🤣😂
I'm so happy this is back! Great work by all involved! Can't wait for the next one!
Even though I became a fan at 12 in November 2014 I got a fun fact. The theme for this PPV was reworked for Mr. Kennedy’s debut theme.
Jack's a true babyface, literally a face of a baby.
Never stop. These are one of the few CZcams series, I stop what I'm doing when a new one is uploaded and watch right away.
These are some of the best wrestling recap videos! Congrats!
I don't have any ideas just yet but keep this going young Jack as these are some of my favourite videos right now.
I love these videos, I was t even watching it in 2004 (I fazed out during the invasion and slowly drifted back in over the last 5 years) but was still entertained. Great work as always guys. Especially the city facts!
That Tom cameo was brilliant
This is one of my favourite series of the channel. Thank you Jack and all involved
Jack’s presenting combined with Luke’s editing makes this peak Cultaholic! Would love to see the first SmackDown of the lockdown era in this series, need a recap of Triple H’s shenanigans on the show
Absolutely love this series! Jack and Luke nail it every time.
Another great one for the books y’all killed it 💪🏽 much love from Cali cultaholics ✨
Oh my god, the bit about Fifi was amazing.
I was not only at this show, but was close enough that I got one of the special commemorative chairs (which I still have)! I remember going in and trying to convinced myself it would be fun and might surprise us. I was mistaken.
Love these videos. Hope you keep them going Mr. The Jobber.
This is seriously just the best show lmao
Excellent video Jack. I'm really enjoying this series.
The "lever" on its own at 35:15 is such a strong contrast it felt like someone else speaking. A jumpscare American accent 😂
Man knowing what a 2 way is makes me feel so old lol.
Love this series, Jack. Keep ‘em coming 👍🏽💪🏽
This is my first wrestling event I attended. I was 13 years old at the time, my older sister taking me because I was moving with my father soon afterwards. Cena was super over doing random battles in the parking lot lol. My mother had also taken us to see Eddie Guerrero the day before the event, unfortunately we weren't able to interact with him because the line was way too long and they had shut down the meet and greet before we could meet him. I just remember being in awe of how big he was in person, he had a very wide frame for his stature.
My mom used to work at an electronic store inside of O'hare airport. She called me one day because a bunch of wrestlers had come into her store to buy some things. She met Eddie and said he's deceptively built. He wasn't much taller than her, but she did comment on how wide his shoulders and back were. She said he was really soft spoken and talked with her about Creed, that was one of his favorite bands. It's crazy cause only a few months later he passed away.
@@RandomMetalChick000 Yeah I never heard anything bad from most people that met him. He always put his best foot forward when interacting with fans and people in general. A real good man
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this. The video, not The Bash. That'd be crazy. Also, where did you get that hat? Much love bruh ❤️
Please keep making these. Some of the best wrestling videos on all of CZcams
29:01 this absolutely took me out 😂😂😂 cheers for that
Really respectfull to guard the indetity of the ticket theft victim
I'm only watching this to see how many times I can find myself in the crowd.
I just spent the day watching all of the "Weirdest Episodes" over again. No regrets. Can't wait for the next one.
I LOVE this series. Legitimately one of my favorite things Cultaholic has ever done. Jack is so damn funny & entertaining in every single one of these videos.
I stayed up late and watched this show live on sky sports as a child and cried at the end
I love when Jack is extra goofy like this 😂 effortlessly funny
I always saw the reason why taker pulled the lever was because he realized that Paul bearer was his only weakness that people could exploit and by getting rid of him, he had no weakness to be exploited
Except cucumbers.
But as Jack literally said that reason is rubbish given Undertaker in Kayfabe is an undead zombie wizard that can shoot lightning when he wants and made Hayman abandon his plan running scared.
Heyman couldn't even use Bearer to get Taker to lose a non-title match to the Dudley Boys. What "weakness"
@@denniswilliams6519 i think its supposed to be 'Paul Bearer needs to eb out of the picture or Undertake will be weak EMOTIONALLY'
if Undertaker is alone, no one can control him, and his emotions wont be played with.
Ah man I missed this series so much! Easily the best thing going in terms of wrestling.
Missed opportunity for an “America’s Ass, Billy Gunn” joke
22:07 - Just know that this bait-and-switch cut utterly killed me
At 13 years old, this 100% traumatized me. I love these videos
The Karen hair on Jack had me lmao
By far the best series on this channel
I love these. Keep them coming.
This was the first wrestling event I watched and I was so convinced everything was real. I went to school the next day telling everyone about some rapper that beat up 3 guys and how someone died…ah, the good ol days
😂😂😂
The wine me, dine me thing came from Tazz on commentary.
TGAB was actually a WCW pay per view.
This series needs more classic TNA ppvs
Another banger of an episode, great job Jack and Luke (and Tom)!
That Norwich montage killed me
LOVE THESE. DONT SLOW UP WITH THIS SERIES
Excellent video Jack!
Yes! Best series on CZcams right now!
Death, Taxes and RVD taking early pins in elimination matches in the mid 2000s
So glad the series is back !!!
As a citizen of the not so great city in Norwich I appreciate the bits about Norwich in the video
As someone in Norwich the shoutouts are very much appreciated 😂
Never change Jack you flipping legend!!
This video is extremely funny and entertaining. Thank you for that.
Another great deep dive. I love this sort of thing.
Love this series, please do more!
LOL Jack I was working at the mall across the street from Scope at the time. I really wanted to go but I couldn't get off. I actually met Torrie Wilson when she came into my work place! Anyway, we pronounce Norfolk as the Brits do I think, we pronounce it Nor-Fuk or sometimes Nah-Fuk depending if you're more southern or not. And the Seven Cities is a chain of cities here that have sort of a affinity for each other. Norfolk, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Williamsburg, Chesapeake, Newport News, and Virginia Beach.
Lifelong 757 resident, it’s Hampton, not Williamsburg
Undertaker did it because he saw Bearer as a sign of his weakness.. A way for heels to always get to the Undertaker
Please keep doing these. Jack and Luke are a great team! This series is so much fun!
38:49 Wasn't that the last time we saw Bearer as well before his tragic death in 2011?
No he appeared in 2010 in the Taker/Kane feud. He died in 2013.
It was Eddie's mom that had a heart attack. Not his grandma.
Love this series Jack.
Keep sifting through the shite to find us gold, lad!
The Tom cameo made me die laughing 😂 😂
The description of the eye for an eye match had me rolling
Love Jack's reactions 😂😂
Love the way this video was done!
Man that victim who had his seat stolen...seems really familiar for some reason
Lost count how many times Jack popped me. Truly the king of dead pan.
Top tier edit and top tier video 👍
So now we know Jack has some silly fears as we all did as children lol.
Also, LOL at one of the buildings of interest in Norwich being a boarded-up McDonald's.
Wow. The editing, writing, and performance of this video is top notch. This series is always great but this episode is amazing. Well done.
Thanks for the Norwich love
Came for the wrestling content, became intrigued by my hometown of Naaarwich references and then stayed for the coked up Jack...
The Great American Bash used to be a great event when it was for the NWA only. It would last a whole month at different cities.
Jack videos are the best videos 💜 Please keep them coming!
Crazy this is one of the shows I truly remember from my childhood for some reason
