This may be the peak of Jack’s ability to confuse himself. As a matter of fact, we may need a top 10 video of the times Jack perplexed himself with a tangent.
@@Mimi-js6zp ?
I am mind blown by learning in this video that Jim Ross is younger than Jerry Lawler and called him big brother. Even though it is only 3 years, I never would’ve believed that especially considering their dynamic was always JR as the mature play by play and Lawler as the immature recently retired heel commentator. JR just always seemed like one of the oldest guys in the room.
Same
Best Raw theme hands down started: "Now get the guns, the drugs, from my generation." Union Underground will be hard to beat.
I agree, along the lines that "Rise Up" by Drowning Pool is/was/will be the best SmackDown theme.
Loving the conversational flow and Jack's personality getting to be a central feature of the video. Fantastic work from everyone over the last few months. Merry Christmas Cultaholic!
I dont it basically added 20 mins to the video. Had to skip some his rants

I love that Jack has this series just to let him chase rabbits.
Genuine chuckles from this one, Jack. Thanks for the silliness. Looking forward to the next one!
Love this! Feb 2008 is when I first started watching wrestling, so like most people, that first year of product is what I remember and find to be most nostalgic.
I explicitly remember watching this episode; in particular, the rush of adrenaline I felt when CM Punk’s theme hit and I realized what was about to happen. I think it was the first time I outwardly cheered while watching wrestling on the TV!
I started watching around the same time, and I will forever know ANYBODY who was on the roster in 08 😂😂😂
@@sebastianbruckwilder5720 Right!? Where are my Chuck Palumbo Stans at!
“Sorry Vince’s Neck, creative has nothing for you this week”
I'm sure like many others, CM Punk using This Fire Burns is what introduced me to the band (which has become a staple for me since; including their older works).
For me, Punk's best theme is either This Fire Burns or Miseria Cantare
By 2008 NOAH was still pretty good, but its momentum had quite considerably slowed down. It was the year of Misawa's last title reign, he lost the title to Morishima and Morishima didn't really set the world on fire in his title reign. NOAH's top babyfaces at this point were mostly old stars who didn't really succeeded in passing the torch to the new generations. Best moment I remember from that year is a great tag team titles match between the Briscoes and Marufuji and Sugiura which still has one of the best finish I've ever seen in a match, with Marufuji reversing the Doomsday Device into a Spanish Fly to win the match from out of nowhere. This might not sound as mind blowing by today's standards, but in 2008 was nuts. And then Marufuji himself had a *fantastic* 60 minutes time limit draw with KENTA in the fall. Just because I needed an excuse to point out that Naomichi Marufuji is the most underrated wrestler of all times, like probably the most influential wrestler of his generation.
Jack, you’re my absolute favorite. I fucking love this series and can’t wait to see more.
I think the reason why it felt like there was a Raw and Smackdown rivalry was largely because we were coming off the heels of the invsion and fans were preprogrammed to pick a side, so WWE was able to manufacture that into Raw vs Smackdown, before just saying f it and letting everyone cross over whenever they wanted.
If my memory serves me right, it was a Rumble or Taboo Tuesday match where Coach was tired of Raw getting all the preferential treatment
Dude, Sammo Hung was a beast!!! Martial Law was on after Walker, Texas Ranger in the US and they had a crossover episode. The 90s were truly awesome.
Best CZcams series going today! Love getting a Xmas vid drop! Cheers Jack!
Crazy how CM Punk is still so relevant 16 years later
Well brother that will happen when you're not willing to do a clean job for anyone but guys are already more popular than you brother
It turns out that if someone is still doing things 16 years later, they're still relevant 16 years later. Crazy indeed.
@@nicholashurst780why do you sound so butthurt?
Well its more of the story. A guy who leaves who some feel was wronged because the firing on wedding day. No one thinks he will ever comeback, had drama in wwe and aew. So a bit of a controversial figure
By being irrelevant for a decade then showing up again.
21:00 fun fact. Wolfs name is Ralph.
He is a completely different character than Wile E. Coyote.
Omg I love this series! Keep up the great work Jack!
Ah, the times when I was still happy to see a CM Punk development
Thank you for this video Jack you’ve saved my life
This Fire Burns will always be the better theme. That opening pickslide and the scream perfectly encapsulated his explosive energy at the time
Absolutely superb end to the year to have another one of these to watch!!
You need to do more videos 😂 I love how you never know when you are going to go off on a separate subject 😂 pure greatness
Jack: "Three Chad Kroegers."
Me: *Frantically breathes into a paper bag.*
this was the very first episode of wrestling i ever watched. this one hits directly in the feels over 15 years later. thank you for this guys i needed this today.
I just love jack’s rants and sense of humor, superb work mate🖤
"BAH GAWD JACK I'LL BE YOUR LIL' CANDYMAN"
*Jack wakes up screaming*
Jack's Missus: "Was it the Jim Ross dream again?"
You’re 1000000% right, Jack. That Killswitch song is something special.
One of my favorite episodes of Raw (that I got to watch live on TV) was the one when everyone went on strike, I guess it was 2011 or 2012. I remember Cena and Sheamus had a match and CM Punk was on commentary, HHH was the ref. It was very different and it had that chaotic energy when it's the end of the year at your workplace and most people are gone and you have to improvise stuff and just bide your time. Unfortunately they didn't ran with this idea until the end so after this match and the initial segments, everything goes back to normal. But it was very creative and it would've been interesting if they did the whole show improvised like that.
Love these Jack, great work
I should've asked for the "c*m farter" shirt for Christmas
The Jobber going nostalgic on the Rugrats…. 🤔🤣😂
I actually rewatched this show a few months ago. It was weird, but it was so crazy how many parallels there are with Punk and Cena in just this one show. It feels like it was the start to a long story that was always planned. Loved it in all honesty. (To Be Loved is in fact, the best theme song for Raw).
Seeing Alberto Del Rio as security was crazy 😂
Alberto Del Rio would later use fake cops to attack Sheamus so full circle 😂
Keep this this series going Jack!
Sheep Dog and Wolf is top tier gaming Jack, well done!
Jack is absolutely the tippy top presenter in this style - please more of Jack being Jack
How the hell did I just remember Sheep Dog & Wolf 2 days ago and now you just drop it in this video?!? What the hell??
Actually WWE put the static at the beginning Punk’s theme. That is not at the beginning of the song Cult of Personality, just the guitar riff. So it is probably connected to the sound the mic makes and maybe intentional cause Punk and the microphone were simpatico especially when they brought him back with that theme in June 2011.
I remember this one well. One of my early Raws
I thought Christmas was over, but nope! It's a Christmas miracle, my favorite series on CZcams. Thank you!
Oh man! This episode made me laugh so hard because of Jack! Good stuff!
I was at that show. Went to Night of Champions the night prior too. My first 2 WWE shows
Me personally CM Punks "This Fire Burns" is one of my all time favorites.
Another of the security who JBL brought out is Jay Lethal...and I swear one is Karrion Kross.
Literally one of the first RAW episodes i ever watched. So good ahah
I too had that Rugrats video. They went to Las Vegas for vacation.
I love weird wrestling episodes with Jack! I also had (probably still have) that same Rugrats Vacation VHS haha.
Dude. I had smoked that Martial Law show outta my head. Total memory unlocked.
It’s great to hear Jack from Jack on films set the record straight on the quality of kangaroo jack
Few things that always stood out for me from this particular time period: one, they heavily sold the idea that Punk could cash in the MITB for the ECW championship, until the draft moved him to Raw. Two, Kofi, as the IC champion, was such a weird champion since back then, very few people liked him. Third, this was the last big push for JBL, and it was a bit underwhelming since it was during a weird non-champion Cena. The thing I remember the most about this episode was Cena with Cryme time for the first time and I literally went back a month to see if I missed anything, but that pairing was still so out of nowhere
33:27 I’m an American from the south. And I request you make fun of us more. That chicken noble was my favorite part
23:06 Cena actually 7los7t mo4st in 2008, pinned at Mania 24 and Backlash, Night of Champions, Great American Bash, and Summerslam all clean.
Sad Adults unite for new cultaholic uploads. Great Vid, Great Channel, Great people
I started watching wrestling back around this time. I remember a no mercy championship scramble match around this time, when punk was punted by Randy Orton. Nostalgia trip this one.
"speaking of people who suck, here comes JBL" makes me cackle every time I've watched this
I didn't think my favorite Rugrats episode would get referenced while watching Cultaholic
The Sammo Hung show Martial Law getting a shout out makes me so happy.
I, too, also think of the series Martial Law when I hear the tern martial law.
The group of Cena and Cryme Tyme actually had a name: Cryme Tyme Cenation (CTC) and they actually mentioned it onscreen as well.
One of the security guys looked like Killer Kross, or maybe it was just the way he was grimacing.
28:08
A) "Marshall Law". Cant wait for Tekken 8.
B) "Martial Law". What a show! Something else I grew up doing with my brother other than playing the aforementioned Tekken, watching Hong Kong/Asian Cinema. Sammo Hung is an absolute legend, been in so many great movies and directed/produced tons too. I'm sure everyone knows, but, ya know, might be before some peoples time, he grew up performing in the same opera troupe as Jackie Chan and has starred in tons of movies with him.
Used to love Martial Law 😂
Channel 5 would show it on weekends I think along with a lot of old Jackie Chan movies like "Who Am I?".
Thanks for that random flashback 😅
Glad I'm not the only one that thinks of that old cop show when i hear the words "martial law"
Me "Please be referring to the show Martial Law...YESSSSSS"
Omg this is fucking brilliant idk when the last time I laughed this hard at a wrestling vid on yt
Best series with the best presenter let gooooo
I had the same exact experience with Rugrats and Vacation. Literally the same exact thing.
In my head for some reason I thought they made Mike Adamle the GM right after Vince's accident, only to realize that's not for another month
I really wish this series was renamed 'Jack tries his hardest'
This Fire Burns > Cult of Personality
I both remember loving Martial Law and was a Hwoarang head! Yeah!
I always wondered, is that Legacy tag title win over Holly even legal? Is there a precedent in place? Like how do you retain and also win the tag titles at the exact same time?
Its called WWE making rules up as they go along.
Killswitch Engage is always a good shout
Bro I remember that rugrats VHS!!!
"Will Cm Punk outlast this lettuce?" 🤣😂☠️
Definitely S tier raw intro for me
Del Rio as a security guard lol
"Trickle back"😂😅
It's crazy to think that Punk winning the title that night probably wouldn't have happened if Jeff Hardy hadn't been suspended. Jeff was originally supposed to win MTB that year.
I remember watching it that night
Holy stream of consciousness- watching thoughts like a cat and ping pong ball
Yesss !!!!! SAMMO LAW and Aresenio Hall. Its on every Saturday on H&I network in America.
thanks!
The King of Jacks
The Jack of Kings
The forward falling DDT should still be a finisher!
Jack is my last brain cell having a full blown podcast😭
29:32 is that Jaxon Ryker and Alberto el Patron?
Sammo Hung's Martial Law reference...Jack is awesome clap clap clap clap clap
You and I have nearly the same brain, Jack. Not the least of which being that I also think of the 90s show when I hear "martial law" lol
Martial Law followed by Walker Texas Ranger in prime time. LFG!!!!!!!
Don't get the protein pancakes at IHOP. I shit my pants on the way home.
good video
Fun video, thanks! Can anyone explain to me, what the issue is WWE has with eyes? Never saw the point of using these attacks besides of being extremly gross.
I always kind of prefered This Fire Burns over Cult of Personality for CM Punk. Although some of that is is because it's the song he came out to for his iconic MItB 2011 match, so its the song i always associate him with. That and there's just a defiant, and rebelious undertone to it that always felt like it fit him to a tee.
"The same tone...as they do when there's been a real-life tragedy"
Million Dollar Mania WAS a real-life tragedy.
Stand up, Jack. You look lazy, Jack. Everyone else stands, Jack!
, Yes, I remember Martial Law on Channel 5. It had the legend Sammo Hung in it, and Arsenio Hall
It always makes me laugh when someone from the UK pokes fun at someone from the South's accent because they normally sound weirder than the Southerner.
Well speaking from experience as I have actually popped an eye fully out as a kid, I tripped on the rug in the lounge and the corner of the coffee table went in under my eye. Popped it right out, full dangle and all. No real extreme damage and the doctor popped it back in at the hospital, only issue is I have to have a much stronger prescription for my right eye in my glasses because you can't pop an eye out without doing some damage to nerves. But no, eyes do not grow back but you can pop them out and get them put back in again.
