    Thank you. Does it have to be plugged in to the power outlet or it gets enough power from iphone?

      It doesn't have to be plugged in. It can be USB bus powered from your device or computer.

    Hi! Is there any option to have sustain sound without using a sustain pedal? I mean not in GarageBand which has the sustain mode, but in other programs such as Fl Studio, SampleTank, etc... Many thanks

    • @performermag
      @performermag  Před 3 lety

      Without a sustain pedal, it's not just going to sustain on its own. You'll either need to hold the keys down for sustain (traditional MIDI "note on" message), or use software to do it. Sometimes this is known as a "hold" function, depending on what you're using. It might not be available on all programs.

      I'm sorry, we cannot reply in Spanish. We recommend contacting the manufacturer directly with any product-related questions.

    Thanks for the video! Was wondering, you have connected your irigkeys headphone-out to a red box, when using the ipad. So what does the red box do? Do you need that kind of box, if you want to do a live performance? (with the irig keys & ipad setup). Thanks

    • @LauraReynoldsMusic
      @LauraReynoldsMusic Před 3 lety

      HI Benjamin...the red box is a Switchcraft SC600 dual adapter box. I use it to go from 3.5mm TRS to dual 1/4" mono cables. There are certainly other ways this can be done.

      It should come with everything you need to get started.

    Hello,
    can the knobs be used with garabe band to control the parameters of the effects for a live performance?

    • @performermag
      @performermag  Před 2 lety

      We've had mixed results assigning/mapping MIDI in GarageBand properly. You may want to upgrade to Logic instead.

      Please note we do not manufacture or provide support for the products we review on this channel. That said, all of this should be covered in the product manual.

    So they have two MIDI ports but only give you one cable adapter?

    • @performermag
      @performermag  Před 4 lety +1

      There's one MIDI in and one MIDI out, that's pretty standard I/O. You get a 2.5mm TRS male to MIDI female adapter in the box. I wouldn't really expect any manufacturer to provide more than one MIDI cable, to be honest.

      Yeah I find that odd, even the microfreak comes with two, I don't know about other places in the world but in Australia these are extremely hard to find.

    I am baffled how the headphone works. Is it taking the iPad audio from lightning??

    • @andesneko
      @andesneko Před 4 lety

      It has a sound card inside, so it takes the sound out like any other sound peripheral would.
      PS: some people would call it an "interface", which is not wrong, but I tend to call interfaces only those with both inputs and outputs. This one only has an output.

    Just one 5-pin Midi adaptor? Instead of two? It's proprietary. It's madness not to include two.
    IK Multimedia. I hate you. Cool keyboard though.
