I think people(average music listener) don't read the lyrics of black metal songs (or any type of ''extreme'' music),I know some war/bestial songs sound stupid but there is a great amount of research behind those songs,I mean you can't just write songs like ''I killed (insert a country name) 's soldiers with my big gun!!1!'' you need to make research,learn history and that means those songs actully have a meaning,they show composers and writers of that song have a passion for history and they spend time for their songs (something you don't see in 21th century),espically Morgan (Lead Guitarist of Marduk)...
War and apocalyptic themed lyrics are my favorite.

The biggest thing to me is war metal is like grindcore but not left wing and with solos.
What do you think about what people say: " bestial black metal its just brutal death metal" ?
They're retards if they think that, brutal death metal is more spastic, more tendencies toward pinch harmonics, and pig-squeal vocals.
They're both influenced by grindcore (at least REAL Bestial Black Metal is), and obviously Bestial Black Metal is usually hybridized with Death Metal, but that's where the comparison ends.
Beherit is war black metal, yet its early best songs are not super fast.

That's right. Although there is a band Left Cross that has something in common with war metal and lyrics are about war. But yeah, generally war metal bands do not sign about war and, of course, Marduk doesn't have much (or anything?) to do with war metal genre.
