Nothing but respect for Nergal... sure he can be kind of cringey at times but his band writes pretty fucking decent music that introduces a lot of people to black metal who maybe wouldn’t otherwise, and his firmness of identity and motivations are solid. Everything Nergal does makes perfect sense when you understand the Satanic philosohpy. In fact, he's probably one of the best public ambassadors for Satanism that we've seen over the last 50yrs. He's genuinely about that life, which is more than I can say about damn near everyone else who claims to be a "Satanist". In fact, the same can be said about most people who listen to Metal in general, regardless of whether or not they're Satanic. honestly I have a huge respect on Nergal. Beating Cancer and then become one of the most popular Artist in extreme Metal truly deserves that. I think Xiądz would’ve been a good evolution on the heavy formula of Zos Kia Cultus to The Apostasy era paired with the very sharp production style of Evangelion, but that never transpired. Instead, they went with a notably softer approach via The Satanist that was made more mainstream with ILYAYD. Not to say that this change was bad, but that older era content stands above it and from the last decade, Xiądz is their best release in my opinion.

Behemoth has not been a black metal band for over 20 years, these demos or early albums would have never saw the light of day if it wasn’t for the current popularity. 2. Me and that Man, this is nothing short of what David Vincent and Glenn Danzig have done. Country music is not really a bad thing if it’s done right. I never listen to this side project so I can’t really comment about it except that others have done the same. 3. It’s no one’s business and who Negal is having a relationship with and once again look at who David Vincent married. 4. In recent years Negal’s Interviews complaining about the American death metal scene have really been stupid as most of Behemoth’s music have been greatly influenced by Morbid Angel, Immolation and Deicide. I don’t see or hear any influence by let’s say Darkthrone in Behemoth’s music. Even the name Behemoth was taken from a lyric from a Deicide song. 5. Negal being a media whore Is nothing short of what Gene Simmons did in the past and probably is still doing. Gene Simmons had choirs of children on Kiss albums in the early 80s just so he could Brown Nose his way into acting as Paul Stanley said. This also goes along with the merchandising as Kiss did the same thing how many decades ago. 6. I don’t know why Negel needs a go fund me page for his legal defense when he is supposedly worth $13 million? He’s making money off of all the album sales and merchandising so why does he need everyone else’s money for something he did that was stupid on social media? Behemoth is not an underground black metal band and is a commercial success on the same level as let’s say Cradle of Filth. Negal does not have to work a real job like other bands have to do when they’re not touring or making an album. Also in recent years especially with the last two albums he’s really came out as a hipster to sell to that demographic because that’s where the money is and these people will buy anything regardless how bad it sounds as long as the black metal label is on it. Supposedly and always according to the old trOOist gang, black and death metal were formed as some kind of underground, "elitist" movements, meaning that they were never meant to look for any kind of fame or economic success in the musical industry, making any mainstream band an actual enemy under that point of view, specially when they change their sound in order to become more "accesible" for the general audience, because extreme music was made for hard listeners and not for those cheesy, poppy music munchers... And now being reasonable and with all seriousness, once you grow up you forget about all that elitist bullshit and learn to simply ignore what you don´t like, you become totally fine with any band that follow whatever the hell of a trend they want to follow, this doesn´t mean I enjoy the lack of music integrity or whatever you call it, but after 30 years listening to extreme music, I´m totally clear about my priorities and taste, to the point I don´t need to trashtalk about bands I don´t give a fuck or become any sort of "metal inquisitor". As about Behemoth not being black metal, for me it's ok (as soon as Nergal doesn't make some cringy $hit like the last 2 albums and many parts of The Satanist). Nothing is as atmospheric as their old school black metal stuff bud (I love their demos and Sventevith), but Satanica has to be one of their best blackened death efforts, nothing can surpass it. After that, they went deeper and deeper into death metal, until they lost it completely around 2014-18.

Everything Nergal does makes perfect sense when you understand the Satanic philosohpy. In fact, he's probably one of the best public ambassadors for Satanism that we've seen over the last 50yrs. I read the first 3rd of Nergals book 5 years ago and I couldn't stand his attitude . He's a Megalomaniac whom acts as if he broke new ground in his career ( not even close ) . honestly I have a huge respect on Nergal. Beating Cancer and then become one of the most popular Artist in extreme Metal truly deserves that. That guy just knows how to make extreme music which keeps stucking in your head. Behemoth is one of very few bands i can listend to a lot and dont get bored. Yes the last Album was not that good but has its moments. Damn, your girlfried is hot!
You're so right, I've been listening to BM for like 25 years, and behemoth for maybe 20+ years, and I never get bored of some of their albums. I went to one of their concerts in Paris France years back while he was still recovering and it was hell of a show.

I think Xiądz would’ve been a good evolution on the heavy formula of Zos Kia Cultus to The Apostasy era paired with the very sharp production style of Evangelion, but that never transpired. Instead, they went with a notably softer approach via The Satanist that was made more mainstream with ILYAYD. Not to say that this change was bad, but that older era content stands above it and from the last decade, Xiądz is their best release in my opinion.

1. Behemoth has not been a black metal band for over 20 years, these demos or early albums would have never saw the light of day if it wasn’t for the current popularity.
2. Me and that Man, this is nothing short of what David Vincent and Glenn Danzig have done. Country music is not really a bad thing if it’s done right. I never listen to this side project so I can’t really comment about it except that others have done the same.
3. It’s no one’s business and who Negal is having a relationship with and once again look at who David Vincent married.
4. In recent years Negal’s Interviews complaining about the American death metal scene have really been stupid as most of Behemoth’s music have been greatly influenced by Morbid Angel, Immolation and Deicide. I don’t see or hear any influence by let’s say Darkthrone in Behemoth’s music. Even the name Behemoth was taken from a lyric from a Deicide song.
5. Negal being a media whore Is nothing short of what Gene Simmons did in the past and probably is still doing. Gene Simmons had choirs of children on Kiss albums in the early 80s just so he could Brown Nose his way into acting as Paul Stanley said. This also goes along with the merchandising as Kiss did the same thing how many decades ago.
6. I don’t know why Negel needs a go fund me page for his legal defense when he is supposedly worth $13 million? He’s making money off of all the album sales and merchandising so why does he need everyone else’s money for something he did that was stupid on social media?
Behemoth is not an underground black metal band and is a commercial success on the same level as let’s say Cradle of Filth. Negal does not have to work a real job like other bands have to do when they’re not touring or making an album. Also in recent years especially with the last two albums he’s really came out as a hipster to sell to that demographic because that’s where the money is and these people will buy anything regardless how bad it sounds as long as the black metal label is on it. So yoga, Dopey grooming habits i.e. beard and hair, social media, reviving nostalgia from somebody else’s generation, etc. I’m still a Behemoth fan but they will never be the same as they were let’s say 10 years ago and remember just because someone wears make up like Kiss, has an over the top stage show, etc. doesn’t mean that they are black metal!

Supposedly and always according to the old trOOist gang, black and death metal were formed as some kind of underground, "elitist" movements, meaning that they were never meant to look for any kind of fame or economic success in the musical industry, making any mainstream band an actual enemy under that point of view, specially when they change their sound in order to become more "accesible" for the general audience, because extreme music was made for hard listeners and not for those cheesy, poppy music munchers...
And now being reasonable and with all seriousness, once you grow up you forget about all that elitist bullshit and learn to simply ignore what you don´t like, you become totally fine with any band that follow whatever the hell of a trend they want to follow, this doesn´t mean I enjoy the lack of music integrity or whatever you call it, but after 30 years listening to extreme music, I´m totally clear about my priorities and taste, to the point I don´t need to trashtalk about bands I don´t give a fuck or become any sort of "metal inquisitor". I disagree: there is a way to do things without drawing attention and/or being ostentatious. Maybe blackers hate Nergal (or better: give no love to him) because Blackers want more discretion to do things and they wanna be recognized for what they do IN black metal, not for the gestures.

Many may hate him because he is successful on what he does. Others hate him because they (the haters) are so "kvlt" and other bullshit; surely they are kids living in a basement at their parent's house. Nergal have the balls to face adversities and take responsibilities for his actions; these are some traits many people , those who claim practicing the left hand path, and artists of all kinds don't even have. Let's not forget he faced cancer, the criticism for being a judge at The Voice, the criticism for his music side project which in my opinion is a very good side project, and now the polish system for being himself and for his art. To tell you the truth, I'm totally sure that many were n his shoes they would end up breaking down, giving up and compromising, something that Nergal is not doing.

As about Behemoth not being black metal, for me it's ok (as soon as Nergal doesn't make some cringy $hit like the last 2 albums and many parts of The Satanist). Nothing is as atmospheric as their old school black metal stuff bud (I love their demos and Sventevith), but Satanica has to be one of their best blackened death efforts, nothing can surpass it. After that, they went deeper and deeper into death metal, until they lost it completely around 2014-18.
