I had 1 weird day where the truck was idling, started misfiring and died. After a few attempted starts got code P0281 #7 unbalance. i let it sit and it fired back up like nothign happened. Ran some injector cleaner and havent had any issues since. Going to get the Forscan lite from the video and see if I can test injectors, ICP, etc.

I have a 03 f350 6.0, it had a crank no start a few weeks ago but one battery was shot and I replaced both fuel filters and oil filter and was working so thought it was good but then it shut off while idling yesterday and no start. I checked volts on ficm and looks to be about 50. I checked oil filter and it was empty buy filled up while cranking and has good oil pressure on gage while cranking. Also took fuel filter cover off and pumps fuel out with key on. One thing I did notice is the rpm gage is not moving while cranking. Also think the motor might be an 06, it has four leads on ficm.

Surely other OBDII readers can work. Ive got one I paid about 50.00 for and using torque pro after reading ford diesel forums. I opted for the reader with wifi and Bluetooth ability. Worked connecting to my laptop with forscan downloaded to test injectors clicking thing. Is the set up you have specific to forscan app and reads info while truck is cranking? I put an android/radio with 7" screen to run the torque app and a bunch of sensor dials specifically the Delta of eot ect but while cranking the radio/screen shutts off. I'm going to try my phone's app version to see if it remains measurements of voltages and psi

    • @AutomedicGarage

I have a 2006 Ford F350 6.0 Turn no start, I replace the glow plugs and ICP, IPR. the IPR had a hole in the screen, the oil filter would fill up with oil, I use a suction pump to pull the oil up on the left side of the engine through the ICP hole I unplug the fuel connector to keep it from hydro locking. Then I plug it back up with key in had someone else turning the key and it was cranking about the crank up, then they stop and turn the key off! before in crank up. And now it will not crank up. I even took all the glow plugs back out, unplug the fuel and spun the engine removing all the fuel. then I replace all the glow plugs back in. and it still want crank. Every time I look on amazon the gage is sold out! I need a (OBDII reader any other suggestions? I learn a lot from watching Diesel Ron. And you are right I cannot afford an OBDII for $250.00 I can afford one for $ 150.00, I have a lot of bills and other stuff that I'm trying to get done. I guess the only thing left is the (standpipe & dummy plugs and high-pressure oil rails and O-rings
