    That is crazy low fuel pressure! It is amazing that any injectors survived. Is it correct that anything below 45psi is too low? Is 65psi optimum? Is there such a thing as too high fuel pressure? I did a blue spring kit when I saw fuel pressure was 40-45psi. After the kit it is about 80-90 psi. It has been running fine but am I going to damage something? Should I try another blue spring? One last question: while driving on the interstate the fuel pressure suddenly dropped to +/-50 psi for 5-10 minutes before recovering. Would you guess that is the pickup foot disintegrating? The two fuel filters have been changed on schedule. If you are too slammed by work to reply, no biggee. Thanks for all your videos.

      Normal fuel pressure with blue spring is around 55 which is optimal. If you had 80-90 your regulator is messed up

    Would this be a possible cause as to why my truck sputters/hesitates WOT and smokes bad? It starts fine and the injectors all work fine it just feels like it doesn’t have the proper fuel pressure it does. Thanks!

      @@taafatal3526 won’t make it smoke but could for sure cause the other issues. Check your fuel pressure

    i have a question if u can help i have a sporadic low/no pressure issue it doesnt do it alot whenever i get under 1/2 tank i'll be driving along n all of a sudden the pedal becomes unresponsive n it starts acting like its starving for fuel and fuel pressure drops down to 45 or so once i seen 10 sometimes itll stall sometimes itll slowly build back to 60 i replaced filters hfcm no codes when it happens if i take the fed line off the hfcm n blow air back into the tank it helps it for a week or 2 im thinking its the screen in the tank its an 05 244,000 ive owned it 6 yrs never had the tank down
    2nd question if i drop the tank i wanna replace the fill n vent hoses where can i find them

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  Před 8 měsíci

      Drop your tank. Pickup is broke probably and pieces are clogging the pickup tube. Or you can install and sump and forget anything about that pickup

      ive never done a sump and its 2wd so only a foot clearance to the tank i was debating getting either a dieselsite sending unit or maybe the riffraff billet one and the strictly diesel filter kit that has new hose to the pump and return extension for the pickup if im dropping the tank i wanna do it all in one shot

    Where do you get your injectors from?

    • @AutomedicGarage

      Depending on what we’re doing or going for, either motorcraft for stock replacement from my local Ford, Full force diesel for anything over stock or I’ve recently starting using some standard ignition from oreillys in some of our personal trucks after finding out they are flow tested and worked well for another Powerstroke mechanic I know and they surprised me. Plus they have a 3 year warranty that covers labor also. Hope that answers your question.

      @@AutomedicGarage Still hold the same opinion on the oreillys injectors? Changed the filter on my 03 f350. The top bowl seems to have trash in it but truck runs normal (as far as I can tell being new to diesels and 6.0).
