This not a bullet proof repairs, those repairs are very simple/basic. Yes use only OEM parts when you work on a powerstroke

I just got 6.0 that someone put a plate in place of the EGR. I don’t understand how the truck is running good at idle like this? I have a under-boost code and no power under load?

Needs a tune if it’s a 2005-2007. Strange that someone would’ve deleted the egr without tuning it. The later years go into “limp mode” if the emissions equipment isn’t there without a tune

Stock head gaskets are trash my man. MAHLE is the best for your 6.0 bulletproof. You should do head gaskets, oil rail balls, stand pipe and dummy plugs, HPOP, oil cooler, water pump, and thermostat. That’s bare minimum otherwise you’ll be right back in there.

Don’t worry. You’ll never get this far with any engine anyway

@STROKER-GARAGE done quite alot with these engines. Mine made good power. You don't seem to understand that all 6.0s had oil rails in the heads over the injectors. All of them did. Lost me there.

@@firsttimediesels6289 all of them do😂 everybody knows that. I’ve owned mostly 03s with the log type. I meant to say “larger oil rails” in the 04+ but thanks for the info buddy
