That dashboard beeping would drive me more crazy than the truck not starting
The old dashboard beep is much preferred over the annoying new do-dee-doo.
In all the new trucks...I shut that doo dooo feces noise off
Got the Hayden Mechanical fan clutch, billet water pump and an all aluminum rad on my 04. Never gonna have to worry haha
Good to see one of the best truck and engine configurations out on the road.
I remember driving to work when my 6.0 shut off all of a sudden. After a couple of minutes I found the fan connector fell into the fan and shredded the wires and popped that pcm fuse. Gotta love them 6.0s!
As soon as I saw the title I knew it was fuse 22
starter sounded a little weak just replaced mine 22 years old can't complain

We have a 99 7.3 powerstroke that loves to pop the aux Diesel computer fuse. Done it often enough that we put in a circuit breaker. Finally found the cause a couple of months ago. The overdrive off button no longer works since the wire for it melted off. It would get pinched when manual shifting to any gear lower then drive.
Check your fuel bowl heater. That can short out on the wall of the fuel bowl and pop that fuse. You can unplug that heater unless you're someplace super cold like Canada/Alaska. Somewhere on here Arod did a vid on that issue.
@@JoshHefnerX It hasn't been a problem since the wire melted on the OD button. We even put a regular fuse back in the panel.
@@Ghauster That happened to me also, 2 days after buying it. Didn't stop running but lost throttle and gauges as I pulled up to intersection. - 03 7.3
Had the same fuse pop due to harness rubbing and shorting out on the right front valve cover.

Did the customer have you replace the fan clutch and was that the fix? I needs to know!

I like your channel and you provide a lot of good information. Additionally, you seem like a real nice guy. However, your electrical diagnostic methodology leaves a lot to be desired. If I can suggest, get some training in electrical diagnosis or watch some videos on CZcams Channels such as ScannerDanner; South Main Auto Repair, Schrodingers Box, etc.
