Official Queen fan club members were so lucky. The band often invited them to participate in the videos, for example "We are the Champions" - Queen performed the song in New London Theatre in front of like 50-100 fans, and after the filming of the video the band played a free show for them with a great set list.
I knew that the "Champions" video was filmed w fan club members, but I DIDN'T know about the FREE private post-video concert... I don't think there's ANY other band who has appreciated/treated their supporters BETTER than the Queen boys!
Wow thank you David, and my own personal jackem. Yes it was a surreal day as being part of Queen fanclub being invited to the filming of the video. I've paused video many times but never spotted myself but not sure where to look as I was in 4 locations during the day and not sure which clip was used where. Remit of the video was to make a video looking like Queen live. I've heard that when they thought they had enough footage Freddie was messing about on the supertrooper lights as it looked fun. When Freddie saw it he wanted it kept in but directors said no as didn't fit in. Yes you were right, audience was to fade out with the track but Freddie said he wanted the audience to continue singing and directors thought that that was a brilliant idea. Aledgedly Freddie then said it had to be both ideas or neither. Not sure if it's 100% true but I certainly can imagine Freddie saying it. Thank you David & everyone else for your Birthday wishes. Yes I love my music but I think 49 gigs in 80 days is a bit excessive 🤣
The ending brought me to tears because Freddie loved❤️ the fans so much and it was obvious in how he made them a part of the show, I wish I could've been there!!!😭
I love this video - one of my favorites for its pure joy! I’d realllyyyyy love to see you do “Time Waits for No One” (not the original musical version of the same song called “Time”, though it’s also great, but the recently released acoustic version. 2019 I believe. Dave Clark, a friend of Freddie’s who produced the musical by the same name in the 80s, had him come in and sing some songs for it, but had lost the original version (with just piano; instrumentals and backing vocals were added for the final production) as well as some original footage for decades. It was all on reels! He was finally able to locate it and put together the stripped down version with just Freddie and the piano with an all new music video as well. It was like he came down for a quick visit to sing a song. You’d love it!
Agree totally! David would love the recent version found by Dave Clark. It gives everybody goosebumps! That to me is better than the original version for the show. Stripped down with Freddies vocals at their pure, passionate best. 💕
Happy Birthday Allan! And thank you David! This was an emotional one! Freddie was so inclusive of everyone. He was so loved and this shows why. Apart from his obvious immense talent he was a lovely person with a heart of gold! Friends will be friends always, and we have found our tribe here with Davids' reactions 💕💕💕
Absolutely brilliant , I’m getting cremated and the last song is Queen I want to break free, just to put a smile on everyone’s face 🏴🏴🏴
Happy Birthday Allan! I am jealous too, that you were there! I never got to a Queen concert, but have always loved their music. Great reaction David, as always. It is such a pleasure to see you smiling and your enthusiasm is so infectious. Watching you watch Queen multiplies the fun by a factor of 10! Still would like to see you react to Bicycle Race, the official video!
I was lucky enough to go to a recording studio in London where Queen were doing some final work on the chorus of One Vision - the woh, woh, woh section
Love this video they all look so happy an like they are enjoying their selfs an I never noticed Deaky to really be so smilie an happy !! Good for him an Alan 👑💯🤩😍🌹😘🥰✌️😉
React to Pain is so close to pleasure, it's a funny song by John and Freddie, John played the Rhythmic guitar, a song so Disco and cool, with Freddie's falsetto
Outstanding song, I love the bassline and of course Brian is killing it on guitar and Roger's drumming is perfect. This is the kind of song that Freddie likes to sing so he is at the top of his game. Thank you for reacting to this one.
Now this was a surprise! Clicked on to enjoy the reaction - a fav song of mine! But you sharing club member Alan's 1st hand report - great fun! Yep, loved the unexpected view into Queen's day at work.
Friends Will Be Friends was the first and only song that was sung at the end of concerts between We Will Rock You & We Are The Champions since the News Of The World Tour in 1977. During the video shoot with Queen fan club members, Freddie high-fives members, & at the end cuts the mic & sings along with the audience, letting them lead. Because of this, the performance was nicknamed “Queen’s Greatest Show Never Performed”.
You go David cute Jammie's lol an good tune an how about some early Queen tunes glad to see you back doing Reactions 🤪🤘☮️ you are the best at doing these don't Quit ok ?
Happy birthday and yes I am EXTREMELY ENVIOUS about the fact you were in the video with QUEEN!!! The other person I am ENVIOUS of is my sister Mary who got to see Heart in 1976 at Bemidji State University.
David- you’re making me smile again- you sweet beautiful man! You enjoy the song so much and you share that with us! Thank you! Yes- age is irrelevant in music! Love it!💛💛
I was always jealous watching this one and The miracle video. I didn't get into Queen till I was 12 in the 1990's. I did get an appearance in Brians vid he did with Kerry Ellis which kind of was the next best thing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLAN 🥂🥳💥🎂🎉👑 You were so lucky getting to be there!!! This will be something you will always remember!!!! Wish you the best 🥂💥🥳 Greetings from Greece
Happy birthday Alan from one old queen fan to another I am really jealous you got to be there it must have been amazing well done David amazing reaction to a lovely video take care x
According to the band, I think it's Brian, they thought this song would be an Anthem similar to We Are the Champions, but didn't quite work out that way
What a sweetie you are. John wrote this, love it. You should hear One Year Of Love another one from John, and Freddie singing it is fabulous. Love the reaction.
this was written by John and freddie 86 same album they wrote pain is so close to pleasure 89 they wrote the miracle and rain must falland my baby does me
Well. Now I’m almost crying. Happens whenever I watch this video😂 Worth it every time !!! TY David. Love your pj’s and I can see we have the same style right down to the socks!!! LOL ✌🏼
Great song of its time, referencing phone cards and actually writing letters lol. I have been in the fan club for 30 years so I just missed out on this experience. I received my membership on the morning of 25th November 1991, I thought God was actually taking the piss that day.
@@betseyclark2832 that's why I suggested it , I always wanted more people to hear it , maybe my suggestion will help to get more to listen to it , I hope ! 👍😉
Thanks for mentioning the bass early on - I had forgotten to put on my headphones. Deacy was grinning away in this - well it was his song! Love the ending with the fans.
Mate, I love to watch your reactions to Queen songs, but you don't have to, you MUST listen to the studio version of Dragon Attack, please! Make yourself that favour.
with Freddie I think John prodominatly music and Freddie lyrics 86 album maggic sadly only played on one tour, inbetween rock you and champions for the encore
Been a Queen fan for nearly 50 years and have seen them live many times including Live Aid. But this tune is absolutely awful. Sentimental, commercial. I can’t even listen to it for a second. However still the greatest band of all time.
Absolutely brilliant , I’m getting cremated and the last song is Queen I want to break free, just to put a smile on everyone’s face 🏴🏴🏴
We were at Freddie's last ever concert with Queen, Knebworth 1986, 140,000 fans, it was pure magic. Never to be forgotten.
Official Queen fan club members were so lucky. The band often invited them to participate in the videos, for example "We are the Champions" - Queen performed the song in New London Theatre in front of like 50-100 fans, and after the filming of the video the band played a free show for them with a great set list.

One of the most beautiful songs written by John and Freddie. They were an amazing duo.
Happy Birthday Allen!

Great song. Brian has said he regrets this one not being a single, i.e. a hit. It's definitely one of his best.

The economic hardship , recession , unemployment and the loss of job caused by covid pandemic is enough to push people into financial ventures .
I have secured financial freedom by investing in bonds , equities , EFT's and some digital currencies .
Absolutely right, I got 70% of my total portfolio in crypto and I have been making good profits.
I wanted to invest more in crypto, but the fluctuations in crypto value discouraged me into dumping.
