Great reaction! Oh Elton!...saw him in the 70s, 80s and just recently on his farewell tour...he is always fabulous - those concerts are some of my favorites along with the Queen concerts I saw. I suggest you hear "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" - the live version is amazing - but there are MANY great songs to hear and great performances to see in Elton's 50 year career so have fun exploring!
As others have said, Freddie and Elton were very good friends from the time they met when they were just starting their careers right up to the end of Freddie's life. When the band, Queen, was in debt at the beginning of their career even though they were selling albums, it was Elton's manager, John Reed, who got them out of their original disastrous management contract and set them up correctly...and the rest is history! There are several interviews with Elton on CZcams where he speaks fondly about Freddie...they had a beautiful, long-term friendship...and they had a lot of fun together...two of the BEST musicians ever!
Elton is one of my all time fav's. Him and Freddie were big friends. I believe Freddie's nickname for him was Sharon. Can't go wrong with early Elton.

Elton and Freddie were great friends. Elton has remained loyal. You can't go wrong with early Elton. One of my favorites is "My High Flying Bird" "Skyline Pigeon " "Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding "

Oh was I a hugh Elton John fan. You can love Queen and Elton. In the states we heard more Elton on the radio and on the tv. I dont know why the music industry had it in for Queen here. I never saw them on the tele. Well the Elton songs i love and my.personal anthem is The Bitch is Back lol.
