The caucasity it takes to look at a movie centered around Asian mythology and symbolism and deem it Satanic. The director just wanted to make a movie about her own experiences and this guy just had to make it about him by taking it as a personal attack against him and his god.

Exactly. A large priest rule is that, when an individual confesses their sins, the sins are now between the priest and the person, with the priest acting as a direct line to God. Only those three people can know what happened in the confessional that day. If you, as the priest, tell ANYONE ELSE, ESPECIALLY THE ENTIRE CONGREGATION, then you are removed from your position as a priest and can never return.

    - The Bible actually says that when you get your period, you should take the day off and take care of yourself.
    - "People can get demons from watching horror movies" Oh no, looks like my horror novel I'm writing is gonna give demons to Christians even though...I...am Christian...
    - My aunt (a pastor) actually used Despicable Me's ending as a GOOD example of trusting God to catch us. More than once.
    - She diiiid do a sermon though about how (pls refrain from the Rowling comments for a moment), Harry Potter is evil and if you like it, you're partaking in witchcraft. She did this KNOWING that my mom (Christian) was reading it to my sister and I (both still Christian) and used the sermon to basically shame her and us...

i was *also* raised with parents like this and i became a satanist. one who smokes weed almost daily and has crazy amounts of religious trauma, lmao. which is exactly why i think the logic behind this parenting style is warped.
i live in one of the most religious (cult-y) parts of america and a scary amount of the children raised in those sorts of families end up with substance abuse issues, for example, because of how much the churches preach against it. im lucky enough to have not been raised mormon, and lucky enough to not have substance abuse issues, but i've never met someone with these types of parents who isn't either a) in an extremely bad place or b) out of the church, but gravitating more towards those "demonic" things (ie, different religions, witchcraft, alcohol, etc etc)
not everyone who's raised in strict religious settings will turn out bad, but telling a child that everything is bad, ungodly, demonic, etc, is just going to make them want to experience those things more. its so counteractive for what it's trying to achieve, and its not fair to the children who have to deal with the aftershock

Surly means being bad-tempered or irritable. There's another church in Canada called Church of the Rock that does religious versions of Disney and Marvel movies for Easter to tell the crucifixion story. They've done Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Avengers for example and in each of them Simba, Jack Sparrow, and Iron Man were crucified respectively...I kid you not with these people.
As for Turning Red, I'm not even Chinese nor Canadian and I absolutely loved that movie. I'm Latino and even I related to Meilin. Latina moms are JUST as strict as Asian moms, and at least for my mom, on school grades too though that's probably because I'm autistic and she expects only the best. But I remind her that I'm not perfect, and that's okay. These right-winger "Christians" LOVE to bash Disney/Pixar for the movie's period scene, LGBTQ+ representation, and even recently for choosing Halle for Ariel because they don't like her race (and yeah, mermaids can be black...Bubble Guppies exist plus in the Little Mermaid TV series Ariel met an Afro-Latina mermaid who knows sign language named Gabriella). Last I checked, Jesus taught his followers to love all.

I was thinking about the mermaid who knew sign language that Ariel met. I think I saw a different thing that wasn’t from the TV series. If I remember correctly I was fairly positive that one of my friends and/or my family had one dvd with a story from the main princess that were around when I was a kid. Each was a short story and you could select if you wanted to watch Belle’s, Jasmine, Ariel, or Cinderellas story and their might’ve been more. I do remember seeing something where Ariel came across a mermaid who was mute and talked with sign language and if think she wanted to sing. At the end Ariel sang something and the mute mermaid singed and acting like she was singing. I could be wrong and that exact plot line could’ve been from the show and maybe they reused that for the dvd I had.
Edit it seems they might’ve reused the episode for the dvd clip either that or maybe one of my friends was watching that episode of the show. I might’ve gotten some information wrong. I think I thought she was mute instead of deaf for some reason. She can read lips and that’s why I got confused by her being mute instead of deaf

I think I have a answer on why rugrats is on that list, it might be because Tommy is Jewish and I remember in high school, I say two people get in a argument over Jewish or Christian views on God. The lazy town one I think the demonic character they were talking about was robbie rotten and in that case I guess we can at villains to the list of things these people hate

Na Athena I am on your in this case, as a Christian I dislike when pastors or religious people speak about shows, cartoons or movies they haven't watched...and call them evil. It is very dum. I saw one guy got angry with "turning red" when he only watched 10 minutes of it and he turned it off. I also saw the other guy you showed, also the second guy is into a weird demonology that is not accurate to theology. don't like them.
Rugrats literally tells the Passover story in one of there episodes. Tommy played Moses.😅
But Durbania and Say good night Kevin are great Christians with CZcams channels that love movies and review them as movie critics. Making the argument that movies, shows and cartoons are Art. They are the best.

The pastor yelling about the sleeping congregation obviously missed Eutychus. Paul, considered one of the most widespread and influential preachers of the Bible and history, had a discussion that went on for an extended period of time in Acts 20. Eutychus fell asleep (noted that this was reasonable) and fell from the 3rd story widow (which we guess he was leaning near). When they found him dead, Paul said that he is alive, they brought him in, and he ate bread with them like normal. Many perceive this as a miracle where Paul helped raise him from the dead. It is also noted as one of the first cases of people falling asleep at church.

There are episodes where characters celebrate Hanukah and Passover and even one where they tell the story of Moses. As a child I was always told that God loves us all and will answer to anyone who asks for his help, so when I was 8 years old I prayed to him and asked him for help (not saying what specifically, but I practically begged him to help me) and I waited up to at least 5 days for an answer. Since I never got one, I unfortunately believed that he didn't care about me or that I did something wrong for him not to answer- now I have lost my trust in God because of this, especially since I heavily believed that he cared for everyone in the world no matter who they are and that we were his future children (quite literally).
