If they are at all the exotic pet shows in NV and Cali, then they will prob be at the one this weekend in Sacramento. I'm going and I'm so excited, too bad I can't use the discount code, but I will buy from them in the future because I like to buy close to my home so the spiders don't have to take too many planes and go through a million hands before they get to me.
Subtítulos en español
@@calliew311 if they're at the Expo, tell them you heard about them from my video and they may still hook you up with the discount. I can't promise it, but it is definitely worth trying! 😃
Hey man I don't know what to do I'm new to this and I have a Mexican red knee tarantula and she is really fast every time I open her cage to feed her she gets out I can't handle it if I paid for the shipping would you adopt her
Just a heads up, I just tried to use the code and it’s not working.
I just KNEW your number one would be the G. Pulchra! The first tarantula I ever bought was one and he's still my favorite. It's crazy how beautiful and velvety they get after each molt! He's still a juvenile but I'm very excited to see him full grown some day!
How much molts has it had in a year?
Great video! Alot of people think just owning a tarantula is goth lol
My G pulchra just molted a month ago and she’s so goth black it’s beautiful.
There are many beautiful " black " T's and the Grammastola Pulchra is a dream tarantula to hopefully own one day and I love the black, silky, velvety coloration on the G Pulchra's cause it's like they have a certain Sheen on them. Amazing species in my opinion
Definitely the Pamphobeteus Antinous "big black" for me!
My tarantula just started high school and started wearing black clothes and wearing black makeup. They stopped talking to me and seem angry all the time. Am I a bad mother? What is happening to my teen tarantula? Is she one of those goths now? 🕷😱😱😱
😆😂💀
I miss my MM T. vagans. He was such an asshead and I loved him so much. He was the first spiderling I raised to maturity, which earned him a special place in my heart.
P. Irminia is definitely one of my favourites. Mine's webbed up the whole enclosure and dug several neat burrows, but also comes charging out every time I fill up the water dish just to fight the stream of water. G. Pulchra was my first, and still my top "goth" spider, but the suntiger has been a surprise delight.
I'd move P. irminia up to #2, but G. pulchra is hands down the #1. It's super nice to have a spider that actually lets you look at it and is always hungry.
I 💯 agree with you.
Gothsome!!! ❤️ them all!! 💥💥💥🕷️.
Theyre all so pretty! 🕷
My top 3 halloween tarantulas are:
1. Brazilian Black
2. Pumpkin patch
3. Skeleton Leg
I get so excited each week waiting for these videos to drop🤣
Doing 2 a week right now and might start uploading 2 or 3 shorts a week as well!
Over the last month, I've suddenly gone from having arachnophobia to binging channels like yours and wanting a T of my own (I won't get one yet - too soon and I need to do more research to give them the home they deserve). The G. Pulchra is largely to thank for that. So elegant and so gentle 🖤
so were here for the same reason i see
This was me 4 months ago, I now have 7 ts and a jumping spider on the way!
What gorgeous Ts ...
Another great video!!!! Like said below a few times I love the Pamphobeteus antinous big Black....definitely looks like a giant black velvet tarantula!!!
goth tarantulas just in time 4 halloween😻😻
Really great choices Richard. For me the number one black tarantula has to be the Lampropelma nigerrimum. They are an arboreal from Sangihe Island, Indonesia. They grow to about 6 inches leg span (although mine is a bit larger than that for some reason) and are a pure, velvet black. They do wander about at night and if disturbed would rather throw a threat posture than bolt (at least mine does). If you haven't got one already, I'd 100% recommend them!!!
I just discovered the L. Nigerrimum they have slings at my favorite local reptile shop. I looked them up and they’re amazing. I want one lol
Great video! I have G. pulchra and I think it is the most beautiful tarantula I have. 🕷️❤️
Greetings from Slovakia 🇸🇰 🥰
Good luck 🍀
I absolutely love the Brazilian black! They are the ultimate in black tarantulas. I need to find me one. Thanks for sharing this video Richard 🙂
love ur content, started 2 months ago and already have 7🤣🤣
I could have guessed and agreed with number 1.... but i think an underrated black goth tarantula (with a pop of colour) is the aphonopelma seemanni. My girl is beautiful velvet black and the bone white markings on her legs pop beautifully.
My P irminia is always out for me to look at. I love her!
I just bought a G.Pulchra at a reptile expo yesterday! I've wanted one for years and it's my very first T, it's a yearling so it's got a little size already and I'm already loving it! So beautiful and calm
Yes my favorite got numbat 1 😊
I have the same scally. Way to "punk" it up Richard. Another great video from a guy with impeccable taste in clothing.
The more I watch your videos, the more comfortable I get with venturing further into the hobby. I've just made arrangements to get a c. Versicolor and a GBB as slings! I'm super excited and just waiting for them to have their 1st molt! And honestly.. it's because of your videos. I just subbed to other T CZcamsrs this month. So I thank you! And just to throw this in, you're also the only one I found that talked about the Centruroides gracilis, Florida bark scorpion. Which again.. has helped me so much! I wish I could get your take on his set up. Thanks again! And great video!
Redrumps are my favorite
Chaetopelma olivaceum. They're smaller, but VICIOUS. You can't be a true Goth if you aren't angry at literally everything, while simultaneously giving no sh*ts about anyone.
Please do a pink spiders video! No one else has done one & I've been wanting to know some pink colored species!
The Grammostola pulchra is a great tarantula to start your spider adventure!
Ah! I have a Tliltocatl kahlenbergi who’s just the funniest little girl. She’s always hungry but can never catch two crickets at a time and sometimes loses both because she’s trying to catch one with another in her fangs😅😅. Not at all feisty and is just so sweet!
OMG you all Richard is not kidding them shock box from seven wonders. Are absolutely shocking I bought the cheapest one and got like six spiders. Mind blown for sure but from them as soon as possible. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Richard and Jonathan. Love your videos keep up the hard work.
I think the best is Pamphobeteus Antinous. It's like Pulchra on steroids :) Lampropelma Carpenteri also should be in the list.
As someone who lives in the south and listens to old country music, A Jonnycashi is at the top of my wishlist for North American species
I can't wait to get my Brazilian black , they are so beautiful and it will be my first time owning a tarantula
Poecilotheria subfusca is another great add to the list
The G. Pulchra is so beautiful!
The fact that there are so many black Aphonopelmas to keep just makes my heart so happy 🖤 and I can’t wait for my g pulchra to grow
Absolutely beautiful tarantulas!🕷🕸🕷
Brazilian Black. My favourite T back in the day. She died during molting. What a pity. This one had character. She would always wrestle with my tongs, but other than that was fairly docile.
Eyyyyy nice Tyler shirt!
Phormingochilus Arboricola is one of the best looking black T's in my collection.
Grammostola pulchra has to be #1 with the deep pitch black coloration. My G. pulchra is a goof ball. She’s one of my favorites. My number 2 would be the Psalmopoeus irminia. I would also include Ephebopus murinus, Skeleton leg tarantula to my Goth list of tarantulas. 🖤
Of course G Pulchra was the top of the list, they are so pretty! Although Suntigers are absolutely majestic so they'd be number 2 for me! I only have terrestrials but if I ever ventured out into arboreals I'd love a Suntiger
I love this video, I will be getting a turantula soon and you never disappoint showing cool ones.
G pulchra was my first tarantula and I'm so glad because they're such a gorgeous spider! And out on show all the time, too
Thank you Richard for giving the T. Schroederi an honorable mention. I have one and even though she is tiny she is one of my favorites 😊
Yessir, Psalmopoeus irminia. Got one, great spider always hungry!😄
They are all incredibly beautiful but the Venezuelan Sun Tiger and G. Pulchra are just on another level 😍😍😍
So many beauties more than just the g Pulchra which I would love.
Wow 🥺 i got black on T.Vagans,, but i need one grammostola pulchra 🤩🤩
Nice Scally! I have many of the Boston Scallys and love them all.
I’d say Psalmopoeus victori fits the bill pretty well
Awesome video, thanks for sharing these interesting species
I just found your channel and I became a fan instantly your videos are awesome love the music it makes it intense 🔥🙏👌
Hello great video information Richard
Love it!! Can you please make one of top purple Ts in the hobby? :D
Love this list! I have a red rump juvenile and a suntiger adult 🔥 planning on getting the Brazilian black soon !
Thanks for the great information!
You bet!
Watching from the Philippines!
Hey there 👋🏻 We love your videos!
We are currently purchasing our first old world T 🕷️ Heteroscodra Maculata (Togo Starburst Baboon) 😳
We are curious if you have one or have any videos for husbandry? Thank you for all your videos 🕸️🕷️
Omg yes for the GP. Love mine although is only a juvenile. I also love your tshirt is it one of yours been trying to work out the animals and who the guy with his hair alight lol😂. I would of liked to know your top 10 black Trantulars. I only have a GP and a vagans tbh. Awesome video yet again though 👌
I wonder what Trantular Kats top black Trantulars are 🤔👌
Another Great video "Punk". I love the hat.
Thanks. I'm digging it. It runs a little big tho. I usually wear a XXL but I wish I would've gotten this one in an XL. Maybe it will shrink up a little in the wash.
Great video Richard!!!! Tyfs God bless you
You are so welcome
I would also include the haplopelma minax.
I did as an honorable mention. Though Haplopelma minax has been reclassified as Cyriopagopus minax.
@@tarantulacollective Whoops, I was waiting for you to mention it throughout the entire video and I still managed to miss the part XD.
I love my G. Pulchra !
I feel like the p irminia looks like if the black widow and a tarantula had a baby. It just LOOKS like it could ruin your day.
Sweet looking spider's
Awesome video! I personally love my Pamphobeteus antinous. But looks like I have some more species to consider as well now 😃
Didn't know there were so many black ones. I like that first one. Lol!
Yay!! You’re back!! ❤
Did I go somewhere?
@@tarantulacollective hehe I meant with the “Top 5” , nice to see the old format! lol
Can we just take a moment and appreciate the great editing of this video :D
Thank you my friend
Great video! I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure Borneo Black now refers to Phormingochilus arboricola and the Lampropelma sp “Borneo Black” became Lampropelma nigerrimum or the Sangihe Island Black. Please correct me if I’m wrong though. I’ve kept both P arboricola and L nigerrimum and they are definitely very different spiders. Amazing video as always Richard, the black t’s are my fav!
Chilobrachys kaeng krachan for me. Females are a beautiful velvety black. One of the first black Ts I remember seeing.
I agree. Such a beautiful spider for me. One day I'd like to acquire one. 😎
No Lp 😯 it's a classic for a reason, love those big goofy looking guys
i really expected to see the chaetopelma olivaceum but its not in the list
Good one Richard ! My G actaeon will give any of them a run for the money .
I can't wait to get my first tarantula. It will be a g pulchra, I only have true spiders at the moment. Just waiting for the perfect time 🙂
no love for the A. avicularia? it's ok. i would have picked the G. pulchra as well :) just wish they weren't so expensive.
for reallllllll
Nice! I know Jonathan ish.. cool dude with a great shop about 8 minutes away from my front door!
It's in Fresno at Blackstone and Dakota. If your local come check it out!
Rewatching this, the C Minax outdoes the Suntiger IMO. Honestly, I would have liked to have seen the honorable mentions on the list and not any with colors on a “black list”. Yes, I watch your videos over and over lol.
Nice music I love metal
My favorite black is Brazilian Black 🕷❣❣❣🕷
I just got my first two g. pulchra sling. They were my dream species and now I have them! I hope one of them is female ❤
The Minax comes second only ro the Puchra for me. Love them all though
I can't wait to get my first G. pulchra, but it'll be a little while. Buying a house to make room for my tarantula hobby is taking up all my funds 😅
We're did you get that hat!? The checker pattern on the underside of the bill is just what I have been looking for.
Hey man. Lampropelma sp Borneo Black already has already had a scientific name for a while, Phormingochilus arboricola.
Very good video. I want a pulchra badly lol. Want to ask you... say people interbreed those 3 different pulchras. Would it be a problem? I mean it could happen. What will happen if people acidentally breed a harmori with a smithi.
Selenocosmia javanensis is full black also
will you be doing a follow up video about the care and husbandry of the aphonopelma johnnycashi you got a while ago? I've been curious about getting one but really would like your input and need to do some more research prior to
definately
What an amazing video! I LOVE black tarantulas? Could I get some info on the Aphonopelma johnnycashi? Wondering if this is a feisty species?
Mine has been extremely docile so far. I have a spiderling and a juvenile and they're very similar to Aphonopelma chalcodes in care and behavior
@@tarantulacollective thank you so much! I’ve recently become obsessed with them and probably will need to own one soon. They are very beautiful.
Hi Richard. Love your videos. I have a G. pulchra I only had for about a month before he buried himself. That was last November. It was the first T I have had since 1997! He hasn’t come back out and I am stressed I did something wrong and killed him. He was 1 3/4 “ and very plump. Should I dig him up to check on him?
nice
Hey Richard just found your channel whilst looking for info on Salmon Pink T's life expectancy - Have one that's 22 but she's acting, well, her age after the recent shedding.
Sub'd and looking forward to checking your content out👍
Hello there and friendly greetings!
You are a dangerous guy, you know? Every time you publish a video, for some reasons, I feel compelled to get a new T!! Luckly I already have a G. pulchra, an adorable tiny little sling! Also, let me remind you that you are the "cause" of my 3 C. cyaneopubescens! Feel guilty. 😁
Pamphobeteus antinous (Big black ) could have gotten an honorable mention but I'm not sure if you have one to film.
MY FAV IS BORNEO
Gotta show some love for the Pamphobeteus antinous, seeing a black spider as big as an antinous gets is something else.
