I'm very surprised you didn't include that on May 9th , Corsair announced that they are in negotiations to aquire Fanatec.
Yea heard about it, not sure if it's a good or a bad thing, time will tell.
Seems like a good move for the company. They fell from grace to rock bottom but are now trying to climb up again. Order times have been getting better and stuff but they have a lot of competition now
The only good thing now is that Fanatec has a lot of competition now hopefully to bring down prices while offering better quality products.
@@GoosiestIf they start allowing retailers to finally sell their products, I see it as a positive change. If Corsair keeps it business as usual, Fanatec gear will never recover.
my first steering wheel was a G29 ... when it broke I bought a thrustmaster TMX PRO ... and now I have a T300 RS GT about the 4th day ... I am extremely happy with this steering wheel
Good choice!
Was the g29 good? I'm thinking of buying it (I'm a beginner)
@@metallightning55 rather hold out and get a t300rs alcantara edition or something
@@metallightning55no dont bother, you will regret it and want smth better very fast. Wait until u can afford a T300rs gt or smth better.
@@xBeepz ok thanks alot
Ik you don’t really recommend it but having owned a g923(the better g920 with the upgraded pedals and true-force) for several years now. I can confirm that it is a good wheel to get into sim racing as the quality feels good and it is compatible with both xbox and pc
if you're into drifting the wheel is just not it. After moving from it to a belt driven t300, the difference is night and day.. direct drive is another night and day difference if u step up again, but you can drift well on a t300.
Fanatec didn't send my order out until 3 months after my order and then 1 month after that they sent the same order out again so I returned my new order to get a refund. Free Sim Rig!
Feel sorry for the poor dude that didn't get theirs😂😂
Legends say people have been waiting for their order for fanatec wheel for decades now!
Wait, REALLY???
Yes had an order from September 2023 and just got a refund 2 days ago! The items never came and took 8 months to get my cash back after 35emails from me to them
@@SIMRIG412 damn dude, that's really sad..
Lmao, they arrived within 4 days for me
USA here. I placed order for clubsport DD and wheel side adapter on a Sunday night. At my door Wednesday.
3 business days to my door.
Also. Impressed with performance of the unit so far.
Order placed this month and fulfilled.
I ordered a CSL DD bundle back in March and received it 9 days later, so I'm guessing they have sorted the logistics issues. Seems like people have been getting their orders pretty quick now.
that is good to hear
Mine took like 14 days in Eu, still good tho :)
Mine took 4 days in Australia
Mine took 15 days in EU
Mine took 10 days in the uk

Yo goose, keep up the good work🔥🔥 you've been the literal goat lately!
It's very good that there are so many brands, everyone will find something for themselves
Love you goose ❤️
Keep up the good work DK
when i checked about fanatec wheel problems ur video popped up first goose... u r officially amazing
my first experience with racing games was with a logitech g29 from my brother. I bought a fanatec dd with the bmw wheel and loadcell it is still amazing
Love your vids!
I bought a csl dd a week ago, I love it and Im keeping it
I ordered my Fanatec wheel early this year and it arrived roughly 2 weeks after placing the order. I also had to pay roughly $300CAD in border fees rounding up close to $1k - ish for a wheel bundle. All though the wheel has been a massive improvement over my Logitech wheel, I recommend possibly buying a DD wheel off Amazon or in stores if possible.
what set up u use? any video?? I have a ps5 and g29 I'm lookin for what u use to record your steering wheel and gameplay at the same time
What's funny is that when I made my purchases on Black Friday week (as well as my brother), we didn't really have any issues with shipping. We both got our items within a week to a week and a half. What did take awhile was the new Fanatec CS DD. Ordered during Black Friday week and got it like a week before Christmas.
Also Goosiest, surprised you didn't mention the news about Corsair buying the company.
My first ever wheel had 180* of rotation, that was back in 2007/2008 i think. Then i had a break with steering wheels and in 2016 i bought DFGT, it brought so much joy to me, especially when i played Shift 2, that wheel and that game were soooo good combined, i have totally forget that this wheelbase is based on gears! Then i bought G29 in 2018 which i have the best memories with. It was easy to use, somewhat powerfull, and most important compact, thanks to that i've drove with it to all my friends and played on it in so many places and with so many people. I've had it for 5 years and then, in summer 2023 i've decided i need to switch to something much better. My choice landed on Fanatec's CSL DD with 8nm upgrade. The difference was so big i almost started crying when i first played with it hahah. That lead me to buying 3k$ worth of equipment to it, 4x F1 steering wheels and some normal wheels and V3 pedals with all the upgrades. Now i need to build a stable stand for it while i have it mounted on Next Level Racing GT Lite which is not so stable, but for now, it gets the job done. Thats my story. :)
i fw the songs your editor chooses heavy SHOUTOUT GOOSE
This video came out at just the right time for me
@Goosiest I want to start racing,
but I dont know what to buy, can you pls recomend me like a
steering wheel,pedals,wheel base,and shifters
I only trust you,
thx
The moza r5 bundle with the shifter handbrake and clutch pedal I feel like is where I’m leaning for the first set up I like how small the base is, any other recommendations to look into that also have a small base?
Love my Moza R9 V2 ! I started with the G920 but honestly.. direct drive especially anything 9nm+ makes my Logitech feel like a kids toy. Completely underestimated how much fun I'd have once I finally upgraded.
I have the g29 but it’s not what I want it to be for sim racing looking at getting a new moza wheel to replace it what moza wheel do you use goose ?
I ordered a fanatec wheel and it has been great I live all the way in Australia and it still took under 2 weeks, please do let this scare you fanatec is still a great option.
Edit: I posted this 30sec ago and goose liked it yipeeee
I was planning on buying the gt dd wheel together with a wheel for Xbox to be able to use it on pc, xbox and Playstation. Is there any other dd that is not fanatec? Or should I just wait till fanatec's situation gets better?
Just returned g920 to Best Buy, ordered rsv2 r9 v2/ CRP Pedals n table mount been watching for a long time 🫶🏽
Having tested Moza next to Fanatec I chose Moza. Unfortunately, the Moza units are in very short supply and, at least in the UK, the only option is to order directly from their warehouse in China with £98 shipping charge and 12-20 business days delivery.
Another option is the Thrustmaster T818 (10nm) but longevity reviews aren't looking promising with failing quick connects and noise
I recently ordered a Fanatec csl ready to race bundle and added a clutch on april 23rd. It took maybe 8 or 9 day to get to me in California. I love it. I originally got a used g29 for $100 usd but only had it for 5 months before i wanted an upgrade. I think Fanatec is great but i would probably say different if i had shipping iasues.
A whole Netflix documentary but it’s about fanatec incident
Bought CSL DD one year before I heard about Moza, still loving it, however I'm fully agree that I wouldn't recommend Fanatec these days. So many cheaper options with similar quality (or better?). I bought discounted Moza SRP pedal and it's really good.
Thank you so much
Best thing to do is start with a cheap wheel I’ve got a thrustmaster 458 wheel and it’s not bad gonna get an upgrade at some point but not sure what to get
I ordered csl dd ready to race bundle on the 11th and today the 15th my clutch kit came in and tomorrow the rest is coming in. I guess maybe only order what’s in stock rn
LEZ GO! A NEW GOOSIEST VIDEO!!🗣️🔥🔥
Goosiest im from uruguay and there's only logitech g29 or g920, do you recommend that? there's only that in here, no other wheel...
I have decided to go for thrustmaster t300rs gt (works on all games which i really need and cheaper than moza) or moza r9 v2 (the best value for money DD wheel in my opinion. And moza keeps improving their products )
I recently ordered my Fanatec csl DD, csl elite 2 pedals, shifter, csl cockpit, cockpit seat, Qr2 setup, and a wheel on a friday at like 3am and recieved it the following friday here in the US. So atleast for me I would say the warehouse in the states if working just fine. So far everything has been amazing and I love this setup more and more everyday. I would recommend.
I also forgot to mention alot of people dont read or understand if anything you order from Fanatec is backordered or out of stock your ENTIRE ORDER will not ship until everything is available.
@@RogueAnubisI found that out about a couple of days ago. Ordered the V3 Pedals with a performance kit I didn't know was sold out. I placed the order a month ago.
@@amegamitenseifan7367 Yeah its something they should really make it more known to people before they order.
im loving my moza set up, moza def got a fanboy outta me! have H shifter, crp pedals,r12,ks,cs wheels and ebrake im set!
You wanna play a game or smthn
I bought fanatec csl in limited bmw edition a year ago and hadnt any problems with anything beside quality problems, that was just not screwed enough bolt on mine wheel
so should i still buy the fanatec csl dd which i was going to purchase in like 2 days?
4:27 the POdlum HUB 😂
I have a question.
I'm a 12 year old boy who plans to buy a logitech g29 wheel just for beginning. I don't plan to have a 1k setup just a wheel (and maybe shifter or ebay handbrake MAYBE) is it worth it and if not what can I get for roughly the same price.
Tyhanks for reading.
Dang i wanted a fanatec wheel but i changed my mind thank you!
goosiest i need help. WHat should i upgrade my car to in forza 3 to make it a drift car
ive never had problems using a g29. besides using an aftermarket deep dish. looking to upgrade tho
Bought my csl dd ready to race bundle on the 11th. Today my clutch pedal came in and tomorrow the rest is coming in. That being said I was careful about only ordering what was in stock. So I guess if you order what is in stock you shouldnt have any problems.
This is exactly what happened to me yesterday before I even watched this video. I ordered $1200 worth of Fanatec stuff and then I did a little more research and saw everyone hated their customer service then I went on their forum and saw the same thing and people complaining about wait times. Immediately canceled my order and ordered a moza r9 for $10 more than Fanatec within two minutes of that
For everyone searching for a bit more information i would recomand the video from Ermz. He had more details to the whole story and even talked about the new "Ceo" and how Thomas Jackermeier plans to get the company back.
Just ordered the G29. I’m really exited.
Yes Fanatec has issues and i waited i think a month to get my wheel but no one else came even close to those kind of black friday deals i got a $350 wheel for $200 so was well worth the wait just hope never have to deal with customer service i guess.
I have a fanatec DD1, had their formula v2, etc…tbh never had any issues about shipping, or delay time 🤷🏻♂️
I am now trying to go to simucube just because it seems better and I want to try it out.
Their podium Hub is perfect if you want to put a real drift wheel (Which I did and it feel awesome !)
The only things I don’t really like is that Yeah, it’s pricey as hell, but again, DD WHEEL are pricey !
Whats another good firect drive wheel that compatible for ps4/ps5 and can be used for PC in the future
I have a question, should I get forza horzion 5 or assetto Corza if its my first car game?
Yo goose soon there is a dd truck wheel form a new brand with all new stuff on it its a bundle kit for 600 dollars can you review and is it smart to buy for truckers like me?
600 is a bit too much I feel like
I would know because I have a bricked Clubsport DD with no customer support. I did a credit card chargeback and I'm going with simagic.
from my experience of pre ordering a fanatec dd wheel bundle i ordered the bundle around 13 august 2023 and for me it was actually very okay. I got like the clutch pedal with the table mount thingy 2 weeks after ordering and then after recieving them i got the wheel bundle itself like 1 day later so approx 2 weeks and i dont live next to germany, around 2k kilometers away in europe. For me the ordering was fine. ig got lucky 😆
I ordered my CSL-DD just before xmas with a wait time of 3 weeks before they shipped it and that exactly what happened. They sent it out as soon as they said it would go out. I think I just got lucky when usually I have horrible luck.
I have a G29 with shifter, and while it's no direct drive masterpiece, I think it's the best entry level and never faulted me.
Moza is very new but what they do is very impressive, I love my Moza setup, without Moza I probably wouldn’t of bought a setup.
Synd Moza ikke virker på playstation og GT7
Moza have been around for quite a while just not in the sim racing market. They have been making things like camera gimbles for years now.
I have a Moza sim rig and I cant thank Fanatec enough for it. If they hadnt screwed up my order and never delivered then I would never have bought Moza. Im so pleased they did as I love the setup I got instead. Lol
@@chrissyboy7047 lol that’s a cool story
@@ItsThatCarGuy glad you enjoyed it mate
i ordered in feburary and received it last week, but im very happy with the products
bought csl dd 31 July and received it on the 9 August, I also appreciate how every games are compatible compare to moza, cammus, etc...
Not Crew and NFS games tho, Crew and NFS for some reason does not want to work with any DD wheel, I hope they change that in the future.
Its not really as much of an issue any more. I have Moza and every game I have tried has default setups for their wheels.
Ps I only got Moza because Fanatec let me down badly after I originally ordered from them
with the shipping issue one of my friends got 2 Fanatec GT bundles for the price of 1 xD (1 wheel got lost with DHL and Fanatec sent a new wheel, the lost one arrived over a month later then the second one)
Well i'm more than happy with my Logitech G Pro wheel and pedals deal since it launched just a shame Logitech has done no Pro shifter or F1 wheel yet.
No issues with orders here had lots lately. Also the dd+ is amazing and beating all the top brands.
Nice vids keep it up! (More roblox when)
Glad I got my dd+ before all this. Had a shipping issue big time tho
I had a black friday order that I wanted to return lying here for months. I litteraly had to threaten them with a lawsuit before they started replying to my e-mails.
Now everything is handled, and I'm pretty happy with my Clubsport DD. But the new leadership is still a big question for the future.
Hi goosiest . I have a question about buying a first wheel . What should I get , I was thinking about T300RS/Fanatec CSL DD or Moza r5 but moza is 100$ more expensive for me (I live in Poland) .
R5 is def a good option
@@Goosiest Thanks for answer.
So I finally dipped my toes into the big boy DD universe when I upgraded from a G29 to a CSL DD. Ordered it the week before Christmas, got my entire order (wheel, base, pedals, H-shifter) in about 3 weeks (mid January). I wasn't even aware of the massive delivery issues until AFTER I made my purchase. I was sweating bullets, but I guess most of the delivery issues stemmed more from their order tracking error around the big sale week than anything else (which to be honest is like a perfect-storm, total nightmare scenario)?
Where these issues mostly impacting EU or Asian markets? I'm in the US, and like I said it took only a few weeks from order to delivery. I actually just ordered the load cell upgrade (which is a must-have - don't even bother giving the non-LC brakes a try) for the brakes and it took them 3 days to process and ship it.
it might be an EU thing. That being said, I haven't had Fanatec wheels, so I'm not 100% certain on this whole situation.
Goose, please post a video of you rally racing in dirt 2.0, pleaseeeee
I brought the DD Pro last year then I purchased a load cell pedal. Both delivered late, never got replies to my emails so I was left waiting and wondering if I would get my orders.
I now want to order the McLaren wheel but now Fanatec are having problems I’m hesitant to place the order.
I can’t afford to buy another direct drive from another manufacturer.
What am I to do ?
If you have concerns about Fanatec you could always sell your current setup and buy into a different eco system. Direct drive wheels tend to hold their value quite well so you shouldnt really lose much money hopefully
Simagic or Simucube, personally Simagic for me, the platform is way more polished, I wanna toss my Fanatec gear but it just keeps getting more and more devalued at this rate, I just gotta stick with it or dump 2K+
My first wheel was a thrust master wheel and I had a terrible experience, the turning was very off centered and it would disconnect all of a sudden, now I have a g29 and it’s pretty good, I enjoy it so much
interesting...
My firend has a G29, absulutely GREAT starter wheel!
@daxpex the g920 i was using in standard console assetto was giving me intense nerves deficits, now i have a trustmaster tx and its all better.
@@aintnoplayawell, that’s kinda weird tbh
So what's the issue with logitech wheels? I get that they have low torque, and use gear driven tech instead of DD or even Belt driven like Thrustmaster, but what's the real issue? I've had my G920 for nigh on 10 years now, And it's only recently started to have problems with potentiometers in the pedals.
the csl dd with boosterpack 8nm is best bang for buck even with these problems but i feel like corsair will definitely turn it around
Same price as the Moza R9 or very similar is it not and that has 9nm?
@@chrissyboy7047the moza r9 is £259 more and doesn’t have pedals with pedals that’s paying double compared to the csl dd with booster pack
I have the Logitech gpro and I have no problems or complaints other than no new wheels have been released yet
sheesh for a moment I broke a sweat. Because I order a Fanatec set-up (on 01.05) and tomorrow is coming (17.05). Even with the holidays I think it's reasonable time for shipping (Germany - Bulgaria)
bought a CSL DD and my wheel loses connection to the wheelbase. Because of this i cant use the paddle shifters. Sent a complaint , they answer and said to check cables etc. it still didn't work so i sent an email back and now im waiting 3 weeks for a response :( i still have warranty on it but they just do not reply
Corsair needs to start selling to retailers. Their products are nice, but a lot of consumers want to try stuff out before buying. When I was looking for gear I WISHED I could run to the local Best Buy and try out 2 or 3 wheelbases before buying. Or at least be able to return the item quickly if it didn't meet my standards.
As it is, most high end wheelbases require sending gear through the mail back to the company and waiting weeks for a replacement or refund. Just give me the chance to walk in a store and get my money or replacement on the same day.
This would also decrease the need for employees from other departments to answer customer service emails and slowing down production even more.
personal story i have about fanatec. i bhought some csl elite v2 pedals and it arrived on time but 2 months later i get a order form fanatec showing i bhought another set of the same pedals where it said i bhought it 0 eu and it arrived on my door step and fanatec didnt say anything just that they gave me a free set of csl v2 pedals for free even though i bhought a set 2 months earlier.
i got a g29 rn, gonna buy a t300rs bc of goosiest!
Tbh, I just want to get a good wheel with the g27 shifter. Or maybe the G27 in total
Hi goosey I wanna buy a used t300rs gt what should I check to make sure it’s good ? Plz reply
Not sure, I got mine new, have had no issues
Here's what I'll say about this. I purchased a full Fanatec setup (wheelbase, boost kit, wheel, pedals, and quick release) Sunday night, and I got my entire order this morning (Wednesday). That's almost unheard of in the area of Mississippi I'm currently in. Even Amazon has a hard time getting things here on time. From this experience and a short chat I had with one of their service reps, it seems to me that they are aware of the negative light the company is being viewed in, and they are really trying to make things right. As far as getting responses from customer service, all of my questions were answered within 24 hours. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky few, but I personally think that Fanatec just had a bit of a bad run and is going to turn things around from here out. I guess we'll have to see, but I personally have faith in them. I was a bit skeptical after hearing the news too, so I'm not saying that everyone's concerns aren't valid, but I think we should give them a fair shot at redeeming themselves under the new management before crapping on them forever.
If your starting sim drifting i started with a t300 with a thurst master shifter then for my birthday a hand brake and then I switched to a moza r9
Nice!
Hey goosiest, can you make a review of the Thrustmaster T500RS, if not please tell me your thoughts
Yea decent wheel for sure, have not used it tho
My racing setup is a Logitech g923/w pedals and a Logitech shifter, is that a good setup for a beginner like me?
I'd recommend T300 personally for a beginner, way better wheel for similar price
bought a csl dd 4 november. idk when but 14 days later i've got it
So is it alright to buy fanatec? (I dont have problem with a month shipping time however i have problem with customer service not responding. Is there any other option for under that 800-900€ for pedals, base and wheel?)
Moza had good DD products for example

If Corsair acquisition goes though, the wheels will be water cooled, and tons of RGB. They will ship out in a Corsair Air 4000D case, too. I kid, I kid.
I got g29, i dont think is bad, but if i would buy new one is T300, cuz 400 just for wheel base, then 150 for wheel and other 400 to pedal is too much for me.
my school has a sim setup with Fanatec Wheels :)
fanatec might be a good brand but a normal wheel costs 700
