  • Ten Years into Ten Minutes - a journey of excising the past! Come along to see what it's all about!
Today, Pablo and I teamed up with Ben Netterfield, our Equestrian Performance and Mindset Coach, to work on improving Pablo's response to the new Waterford bit and refining my timing over the jumps.
Our goals were to achieve a quality canter with the right pace, improve straightness on approach and landing, and enhance suppleness and responsiveness over a series of fences.
We started the session by working on feeling the 'contact' and using my aids effectively to get the best response from Pablo. The goal was to refine our canter and approach to larger fences.
Everything was going well until it suddenly fell apart with a big fat crash!. Man! Another journey of self-discovery and growth. I confronted my greatest fear-overcoming the limiting belief I’ve carried for ten years.
A tough and empowering session mentally, but with some positive outcomes.
    Key Takeaways:
    - Achieving 'a light contact' with the canter improved Pablo's head stability.
    - A more forward canter and maintaining leg contact can prevent stops and crashes.
    - attitude determines altitude for Pablo and me
This session reaffirmed the importance of addressing both technical skills and mental resilience in equestrian training.
