Stop at nothing!

Hey everyone, today we tackled the ACT Show Jumping Club's training day with Echo, Pumba, Pablo, and me. We kicked off with Echo in the 70cm class and wrapped up with Pumba and Pablo in the 1.0m class.
My main goals for today were to nail our canter, rhythm, and straightness on approach and landing, keeping my hands low, body tall, and eyes up for each jump.
The day was full of ups and...stops. My mind was playing games, testing my confidence and my ability to keep my hands steady and resist the urge to pull back.
Lots of lesson learned today! The key being that I need to stay present to feel what my horse is feeling, and control the controllable. Mistakes are opportunities to grow. Regroup, refocus, repeat-drawing on my solid jumping skills.
