A few comments from an MLS fan. Taty is a goal poacher in the best possible way. Very crafty runs. He’s struggled with streakiness at times but has seemed to correct that in the last year or so. Very good with his head. Great presser of the ball. Top defensive forward. Anyone worried about ego, don’t be. Very much a team player, but with a goal scorer’s swagger. He’ll be looking to prove himself. I do think however, Jesse should vary up the attacking play as he does thrive on crosses, wide play. He will need service to be successful. All in all, a very good option!
Kalvin has done his service to Leeds, above and beyond. Good luck to him, whatever he decides.

Hi not a Leeds fan but a fan of the channel really injoy the content. I am liking what have seen of Jessie Marshe so far seems a decent manager who seems passionate about the job at hand and hope Leeds have a good season this time round. It seems to be Marshe is trying to bring in the players he is familiar with and going to clear a few players out to make way. Selling the likes of Kalvin Phillips to City and also Raphinha elsewhere for around 100-110 combined will help bring in more players to improve the squad. The likes of Aaronsen, Kristenson and Roca are very good and smart signings.
Given the links between City and NYCFC not hard to fathom that if Phillips leaves hopefully no less than 60m Taty will be allowed to go to Leeds... Thought this from the start of the links and can see it playing out that way... Hopefully Leeds bring in Camara to help Roca... and Rafa stays another year now.

Good for kalvin. He gave us what we needed. He has the opportunity to win leagues, champions leagues etc. I'll always be a fan of kalvin. He's a legend imo. I don't to begrudge him. Loyalty works both ways. He showed it now we csn show it.

@@lowd741 yeah I largely agree. I can see foreshaw and klich/dallas in our midfield next season when back from injury. I don't trust orta to get it right. This lad we are signing from bayern in the cm position worries me...potentially another firpo e.g. a player at a big club that gets no where near the starting 11.
I don't think we will get a player of Phillips quality...he's a starting England International and we finished 17th. Fact is he's already too good for us. If we were able to do a Leicester who replaced kante with ndidi I'd be happy but it's orta so....grt ready for forshaw to be our guy.

Kalvin leaving makes sense for all parties, been an unreal servant since Bielsa came in and the fact he's made our club 60m in the process which could help the club grow even more. He deserves more than we can offer him

I agree Ben Lang. Kalvin’s injury vulnerability is unlikely to improve so now may be the best time to cash in on a player whose been a great servant to our club. However, we shouldn’t accept less than £60m and let’s hope the proceeds are spent wisely including bringing Marc Roca in for the right price.

@@1977Futre there is that danger for sure - much like when Fulham came up and spent £100m re-jigging the whole team and went straight back down again! It’s a difficult balance to strike cos we all know the Leeds squad is too small and lacking in prem quality so we do need 5-6 new players (especially with 5 subs this next season)

I think 2 is a bit much in terms of midfielders , its only one summer transfer window and i think forshaw and Klich will stay , We will need a kalvin replacement but other than that i think we will focus on another attacker.

Anything close to 60m and we should take it for Kalvin. I like the lad, but if that’s what he wants then so do I. Plus, he’s worth nowhere near that in reality…. I suspect he’ll end up moving on from City after a couple of years of mediocrity and bit part participation.

The problem Phillips will have is game time there is no chance he will play in Rodri place so he then becomes a bit part player ,playing the odd game here and there is that what he wants with the World Cup in a few months time ,it’s a tough decision for him
Phillips is a southgate favourite so he’ll be going to the World Cup regardless of how many games he’s played… look at McGuire in and out at scum this season and is always picked for England even tho he’s been terrible.

I don’t trust Orta to recruit replacements or get the best price. If we get 60 for Phillips that’s should bring in three decent players but our recruitment is too hit and miss. I’m worried we’re signing more players with no English experience and that none of the deadwood is being shifted.

If Kalvin goes we would need 2 more players for his position to account for suspensions, injuries or any other absences that with the 5 subs rule our bench would need improvement with the players we currently have at our disposal, I would not object to the likes of Forshaw or Klich being unused subs to be honest.

That's what we want as fans. To see him play every week if he's moving. Hopefully he improves even more under pep.
Assuming we sign Roca, and we keep Phillips, then we do not need another midfielder. Klich, Forshaw, Phillips, Aaronson and Roca is enough. Dallas is injured probably until 2023, so we desperately need another left back. Firpo being our only choice would be a massive gamble, especially since he has just had a very underwhelming season with us. A new left back and a new striker should be our main priorities at the moment, and then a new winger if Raphinha leaves (I have a very odd feeling that he might stay).
Overall, if this window can go as planned, then we will have 4 new quality players that we did not have last season, whilst gaining squad depth and the ability to rotate without placing square pegs in round holes.

I think with the majority owner still being Rads he’s gonna start cashing in on players and taking money out the club because let’s be Frank because all his intention is going to be is to dilute his shares over time but whilst he still owns the majority he can do precisely what he likes. If he cashes in certain players for big money even if 50% of that is reinvested back into the playing squad the rest he can cash in as dividend at the end of the year or through his salary. No restrictions. It’s up to him as only he knows how much money he’s actually put into the club from day dot and what his return on everything is going to be if he did sell his shares in full to the 49ers. But I think the priority should be to get the cash in to secure the FFP regulations!
“Dilute his shares” ?!? I think you mean sell! Share dilution happens when a person holds onto the same amount of shares when new investment arrives - ie. The value of shares goes down when new shares/stock are issued due to the overall proportion of ownership. Rads will not be diluting anything 👍
