English was a second language and the only common language for my parents. My mom's family was from Sicily. The most common exclamation she and her sisters would use when cooking, cleaning, chasing us kids, shopping, or basically doing anything was "cazzo." Always cazzo. Loudly and with gusto. And gestures. She'd never tell us what it meant, but based on my pious (and most frequent user of the expressive word) aunt's reaction when we pressed her on the meaning of cazzo we kind of figured it out. (Yes, it's always the pious ones, isn't it?). So, much thanks to you for this most excellent video.

I would never get offended. In all honesty, this video was very helpful. I'm writing a story where the main character is Italian and Italian is her native language, but she speaks English regularly, so whenever she gets upset or her emotions are high she speaks Italian and most of the time it'll be her swearing. I didn't know anything about the Italian language, so I looked up "Italian swear words" and clicked on your video.

Mike Biancaniello The Italian word “cazzo” can be directly linked with the English word F... In many cases it is used for the same expressions in both languages. For example the expression “Who the F... are you ?” “Ma chi cazzo sei ?” it's the same !

(more Sicilian maybe? "Ora pettia sugnu cazzi da cagare!"). It's another way to say "Sono cazzi amari" but a bit more vulgar though :)

Ahahah ciaooo!

Very funny and rich in modalities. Some of then are very common in my country (Argentina) where they came from Italian immigrants but were modified, v.g. we say “cazote” with this spell, a Spanish version of a punch in the face. What about va fan cul’?
