as a modern day urban living Asian, we are told to speak up and express our ideas...
but I have chatted with Italian before,.and I can say their opinion and expressing ideas are much bigger than ours
that's right! we talk a lot about our ideas even arguing hard or yelling but after the topic is over so is all the flame and we talk about other things as if nothing happened. i now understand it can be intimidating to someone who is not used to it ahahah but know that we're not really angry when we do it, on the contrary it is a way to socialize among people. for example in bars an hot topic is politics, you talk about it with the barista and other people will say their ideas etc, at the end you'll see you've made new friends lol

Then when you have kids fights about wich name should the kid get and you better eat everything on your plate. What do you know when are you full. Nonna and mamma know better. Eat and puke later but you must eat. And dont go out with wett hair, draft is a big no too. In my family there are some italian maried into the family and we know all this. First time you meet the family everybody is there and everybody are kisdig and hughing you. You better remember names right

I think this works for all Southern European countries (well, food changes). My cousin's boyfriend is Italian and he says that we (Spaniards) are quite similar when dating. Basically, I love Italians and I love the fact that they scream as much as we do.

Lol the "fight for me!" is so true. A friend of mine said she needed a break from her long time boyfriend, saying she needed to think. So they took a 2 week break. During that time she didn't hear from him and that made her reach the conclusion he wasn't willing to fight for her, so she dumped him definitely. Now she is with someone who really did fight for her (practically stealing her away from another). If we feel taken for granted we might very well walk away ;) The food one is true, too. I cringed visibly when he reached for the ketchup...I pray that microwave pasta is an invention for this video, otherwise I will pray for every microwave pasta packet to explode and sizzle in hell....And I could express that sentiment without using words but just my hands. like a true Italian :)

I met my fidanzato's family quite early in the relationship. I didn't have time to learn all this.
I eat quite a little and la mamma prepared maybe five main courses and lots of sides.
His family seriously was killing me with their eyes. I will always remember those whispers: "Why isn't she eating...?"

A lot of facts about Italians go unnoticed for some reason. A lot of people still consider Southern Italians white which pretty much shows how little is known throughout the world about Italians. Anyways, millions of people moved to South America from Italy. Many people in Argentina, Brazil ( and other countries in South America) come from Italy. That's one reason there's a huge similarity : )
