Italian women love to complain about men more than most, in general. Even when they are not actually that unhappy.
And quite frankly when it comes to their relationship with Italian men in particular, you could make an argument that they are even a bit spoiled compared to women from other countries, as they tend to take for granted certain attentions that they wouldn't get elsewhere.

I went to study in London and had this Italian classmate that is the exactly description of a typical Italian man: thick eyebrowns, long and dark eyelashes, nice fashion sense and very flirty... I can't forget about his accent which is pretty cute, even looking back now I see that I kinda had a crush on him lol

Not good looking at all, I was actually really shocked, no idea where the media push and "reputation" of them being good looking. I'm American, but I have lived on and off in Germany for many years. My opinion of Italians was very low from Germans and Americans. I always wanted to visit Florence for the Renaissance art and history. In 2018, I spent 2 days in Milan and then took a high speed train to Florence. 21 days total in Italy. I absolutely loved the people, the landscape, the cities, the architecture, the fashion and the FOOD. It was the best time and I hope to return very soon to experience more!
The south Is discriminated everywhere, I think this also holds true in the US...
I’m Italian and lived in the US and Britain. Having travelled a lot also in Germany my impression has always been that Italians are appreciated more in the US and in Germany, way more than in the UK. I find your comment rather bizarre because my experience as an Italian has always been really positive, apart from the UK.
Americans do not have a low opinion of Italians, what are you talking about? Most Americans think Italy is beautiful, love the language, and of course the food...don’t know which Americans you’re talking about lol.

After living in Italy for 2 years I found Italian men to be warm & kind. They will go out of their way JUST to help you. "molto Gentili" Remember no one is perfect. Having an Italian friend is definitely bless! love from Yemen

I'm Italian and don't actually need to learn the language (have been a teacher myself), but this channel just hooked me in. I love the clarity, authenticity, tone and variety of all of your videos, guys! Plus, the comments give me hope: there are people from all around the world expressing their love for Italy and, more important, for life and openness towards other cultures. We need more and more of such people!
Of course Italy has its bad sides, too, and not all Italians are kind. But many of us are genuinely welcoming, kind and fun, so don't hesitate and come visit us once this damn pandemic is over!

I am American/Italian. My mom’s dad immigrated from a small town south of Napoli and was very much a country type. My dad’s father came from up north and was very much the continental type. While they had differences in their dress and things like nonno from the south always had a vegetable garden, made his own wine and such nonno from the north was always impeccably dressed and excelled at dancing. I was fortunate to take from both

Just one thing about the dressing : when Italian people talk about "abroad" they usually mean England, which is (used to be, before Brexit) the place they visit more in their life. And for sure social dressing norms are different. But if you go to Austria or France, it's extremely frequent to meet very stylish and elegant men. Not to mention Japan, where I never met a man with a creased shirt or greasy hair.
I'm italian and I live in England, close to London. I work for Armani, one the iconic italian fashion brand. Well, London has been and still is the "mecca" for the gentleman attire. Have you ever heard about Savile Row and Jermyn Street? Also United States are not only cowboys and rappers. Ralph Lauren have been inspired by the Ivy League/preppy style. The "wasp" way of dressing on the more sophisticated east coast. Italian style is just more relaxed and fashionable, but UK is also a great place if a man wants to dress well.
Hopefully life goes back to normal soon! Milan is my favourite city!

I've been to Italy. So many of the Italians wear black - men and women! An elegant coat, a stylish hat and a pair of cool-looking sunglasses, that's their style. Beautiful and incredibly nice people.
Italian accent is quite similar to Argentinian "Porteño" accent (actually, its the other way around bc of immigration xd) and i love it.
I am so glad to find out I could understand most of it. Italian is a third language to me. Nonetheless, not so much to dare to write my comment in Italian.
