I don’t think they’re taking into consideration that in the Mikey Garcia fight, Spence’s game plan was to outbox him. It wasn’t until back half of the fight where Spence really started to walk down Mikey.

You took the words out of my mouth sir and I to believe that people are sleeping on Spence. Another thing is Buds chin and how that wasn't mentioned. We have seen Errol Spence take some massive shots and still come forward throwing punches and not having to clinch. Spence said it best with his Tim Duncan analogy, he doesn't have to be flashy to win . Don't fix it if it's not broken. In my opinion I think if this fight had happened sooner I would have said Spence with ease and not a 50/50 fight but now that Crawford has fought some top fighter's at 147 is better for Crawford. But none of those guys including Porter were in the same shape as when they fought Spence. We talking 3 years older with damages from Spence and GGG and Porters own daddy saying before the fight that he was gonna stop the fight because his son didn't train the way he wanted him to.

He’s a little bit casual with his knowledge. Listen at 18:24. Errol doesn’t one punch stopping power to the body. Micky Ward does, Crawford did against Indongo. With mostly all fighters, it’s the accumulation of damage they do with their body attack.

Great discussion between fighters who have been there and can give us an insider perspective on the fight. I’m there for any discussion that they have on the fight game. It brings back memories of me, my dad, my brothers, and my friends, all arguing and discussing the most important sporting events of the day. Listening to these guys is almost as good as seeing the event itself, great show.
They’re underselling Errol by saying he only has 1 style of fighting. The way he put boxes Mikey Garcia for 12 rounds show that he has skills that he can pull from if need be
Outboxing Garcia wasn't really a show of skills 4+ " reach advantage alot bigger man. Errol is a skilled fighter but the Mikey fight was such a mismatch.

Spence has underrated skills - spatial awareness, footwork, frames, pins, etc.

He has suffered two potentially career ending injuries. Both took time to heal and pushed fight dates back.

I have to go with Crawford also, and here is why? Spence is great at what he does and brings great pressure physically. Bud on the other hand puts mental pressure on you. In boxing, when you force a fighter to think that is not use to it, he will eventually break. I have seen more flaws in Spence than in Crawford which is something that is not being talked about.
Crawford definitely wins this, ask any boxer that has fought both they have all said Crawford. Crawford actually will put the pressure on Spence to change his game and he can’t.

Who has Crawford fought really? He beat a faded Brook and a Porter that didn’t go all the way with his training camp. And these are the only two big wins at Welterweight for him. He’s about to fight a fighter that’s in his prime and hungry.

Just because you’re with the same promoter doesn’t mean you’ll get all of the big fights, look at Thurman & Spence! That fight should’ve easily been made. I think they even have the same manager, but yet the fight still didn’t happen.

Spence got ejected from a Ferrari, and came back to collect yet another strap. Also, at the end of the day “skills pay the bills”. The quote on quote tougher fighter doesn’t always win but in this case both have skills as well as toughness.

Spence beats Crawford. Spence has fought and beaten quality opposition. Danny Garcia, a prime Shawn Porter, a prime Kell Brook...The only quality win Crawford has is Gamboa. And that was a tough fight! Brook was shot. Porter had one foot in retirement when he fought him.
You said what I was thinking. Crawford hasn’t been fighting hungry opponents, which was proven when he resigned with Top Rank.
Spence beat Brook who was damaged goods coming off a devastating KO\LOSS vs GGG...Garcia was not at his peak and so pretty much just Porter & Ugas... I don’t size will matter especially with the skill level of Bud. Skills pay the bills.
His only shot is to try to box and counterpunch every round, but Bud is a slow starter. Can’t do that against Spence because Spence will cut the ring off and be in his chest.

Love the chemistry between the guys. Let’s get it. The only problem I have with Paulie is he seems to want to discuss issues of racism as if he is the expect or knows a lot about it. I think he is bordering on disrespect. Black folk suffer this everyday of their lives and know more about it than Paulie. So for him to be so dismissive of racism as if he knows more about it than Crawford is in itself racist. We don’t know the full facts of why Crawford says what he has gone through is due to racism. Paulie is not living with Crawford or seeing the stuff that he is seeing or hearing the stuff he is hearing. I think Paulie’s needs to at least respect black peoples’ lived experience even if he clearly doesn’t believe or acknowledge their suffering.

Well said, I completely agree, I love Paulie but he focuses to much on the hate he gets then the love. He doesn't need to address anyone who says his takes are racist, he's giving power to a small group of boxing fans who are always race driven. Also he does a terrible job addressing it, he always sounds dismissive of real racism as if boxing wasn't built on the shit just like this country was. No need to act ignorant but if you are then why even acknowledge it.

All those legends have a point but I would have to agree with Paulie 💯 Spence is the natural welterweight and has fought more top contenders and in my opinion more experienced fighters .. Hell , Spence looks stronger coming off of that accident also ! Shoutout to Bud to !

Spence all day. In boxing it’s man down, strap season, and big fish. Crawfish won’t win.
Edit: Bud is a slow starter, Errol will be too strong in the later rounds, and Bud gets hit. He’s not super elusive, and he got dropped by mean machine while the ref saved him by waving it a slip.
Plus, Bud faced Brook and Porter at the END of their careers when both were thinking retirement. Spence been fighting prime fighters.

Bud fought Shawn 1 fight apart from Spence and Spence fought kell brook coming off a loss to ggg with a broken eye socket Spence and bud competition been about the same honestly

The big difference between neutralizing Canelo was him moving up and his power not transferring. Spence has been a WW, so his power is there.
You didn't say anything about Canelo's power when he moved up and blew away Kovalev. In fact nobody did. All the experts , bookies , everyone had Canelo beating Bivol by POWER. By a devastating KO. EVERYONE said Canelo's POWER would eventually catch up to Bivol. NOBODY said Canelo was going to " float like a butterfly and sting like a bee " to a victory. It was Canelo's POWER that was going to blow away Bivol. So quit the b.s. You look like a complete fool .

Having said that, Spence is big, strong.
Crawford was hurt by Gamboa (140), and Mean Machine (147).
Imagine what would a natural big welterweight like Spence do to him.
Not every time, the more skilled boxer wins.
Look how Teofimo beat Lomachhenko (The most skilled boxer today) better skills than Crawford.

Rigo has reportedly broken several opponents jaws but still got outboxed by Loma. Foreman was breaking bones in sparring dudes but Ali found a way to beat him. Power isn’t everything. Skills pay the bills and Crawford is way more skilled. Yes Errol can box but not on Crawford’s level. You will see come fight night.
@@lukev483 I didn't bring up power. Roy did and insinuated Bud has more power. I disagree that Buds boxing level is above Spence. He couldn't outbox a man with one leg. Bud don't outbox nobody, even if he has its much weaker competition. Errol outboxed Mikey who was on the p4p list at the time. He out boxed Danny coming off a bad wreck. He outboxed Ugas who outboxed Porter and outboxed Manny. Ugas also beat Bud twice. Errol has the best jab in the game and one of the toughest chins. 2 things Bud never dealt with. Errol cuts the ring off the best I've seen so Bud can't run. Bottom line, man down in 9.
