Baking multiple textures into one in Blender (Sketchfab Scans)

  • This is a life saver for those who regularly use Sketchfab scans but, like me, get angry when they come with more than one, sometimes many high res textures. This makes it a LOT easier to manipulate the model's textures.

    Very insightful!
    At the end you mentioned that you also would like to create normal maps from these texture maps. In case you're not using it yet, DeepBump is a prett handy add-on that allows you to create a normal map from any diffuse texture with one click. I have found it extremely useful to add more details to the scanned models.

      yes I've been using DeepBump. But I don't think it works for 3.6 so I tend to open up 3.4 and do it there. But also I'll just find a decent wood normal map and overlay that in Photoshop because these models I have a very flat, so won't generate much of a DeepBump normal :)
