      Interesting how you are recommended to check with your surgeon to see if it’s ok to tape or not. See the games? One says tape, one never mentions it. One says point your nose in the air and smile, hold for 10 seconds. Do this 3 times a day for 10 reps….the silliness. Standard of care is up to the individual Dr. and results vary. No Dr wants to give u more than u “need” which is up to his individual discretion. Ultimately he doesn’t want to get sued because he gave you too much “good” information you didn’t follow correctly or that hurt u in the long run. This is a great idea, but if he doesn’t recommend it, and u mess up ur nose, he isn’t at fault for it. Even though, it’s probably going to be better for your nose than not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    my surgeon showed me how to tape also promoted the dissolving solution. i switched to 3M surgical tape as i find its less irritating to the skin - i am taped 23/7 so skin irritation like that for 3 months is not an option - i account for the stretch factor. i use olive oil for other skincare, i find olive oil works fine with tape removal - soak the tape in it before shower - 15 minutes later it peels off.

    I have a question, so i had rhinoseptoplasty 2 weeks ago and 3 days after i noticed that my scars are not healing properly there were literal wounds on it, and my collumella fell down or swelled a lot, so i thought its infection, i was putting terramicyn cream from the begining but noticed its not helping at all (wouldnt be surprised if she caused me all of this) so i went to doctors in my country, told me i dont have infection but that my columella/septum fell a bit. And they gave me new cream. It was good on the first day but now on second my whole face is itching, do you have any antibiotic cream that you would recommend me that wont cause reactions?

    • @BestPlasticSurgeons
      @BestPlasticSurgeons  Před rokem +3

      @Milly Flores no taping it will keep it up better. the opposite of what you want. you can tape the bridge to reduce swelling but dont tape under the tip. smiling and massaging the tip downward may help a bit but ultimately depends on what your surgeon did. hang in there. avoid haters.
