    My favourites are:
    - I'm not cold all the time anymore
    - I sleep soundly and wake up fully rested
    - my anxiety has gone down
    - I discovered many passions and I took the opportunity to travel through Europe
    - My relationships are way more meaningful
    - I'm overall just sooo happy all the time, it's such a drastic shift because before I used to cry myself to sleep everyday lol
    - I don't care what others think of me and I do my thing (which makes me happy)
    - I can focus so much better and my academic life got better
    Thank you for being a part of this, Chloe!

    I had such a similar experience when I was severely underweight, I couldn’t focus on anything! I remember sitting in the theater one time and being unable to stop thinking about what I would eat for dinner, counting the calories and making sure it would fit in my 600 calorie / day limit. I don’t think I ever actually ended up eating it tbh, but I was obsessing so hard I can’t remember anything from that movie. I used to think I hated movies altogether but one of my favorite things about being weight restored is now I love them! At least I can sit through one without losing focus or feeling compelled to get up and exercise.

    One of the best thing that I experience now that i’m recovered is to be more PRESENT with the people around me 🧘🏽‍♀️

      Yes yes, me too! Love that you can feel more present simply by just being at a weight that is more supportive for your body!

    The first thing you said about how you know deep down you are not healthy and this stops you from going places and doing adventurous things - i have never had someone put this into words and I had no idea some one had the same fears and thoughts . This would hinder me a lot

    I spent so long trying to micromanage my weight, and it’s actually shocking to me that with just relaxing more, and eating more, I can maintain a weight that is healthy, functions well, and is sexy. I can’t believe I wasted so much of my life 🤦‍♀️ Stressing your body and running on cortisol is so much worse than any food would be. Crazy haha.

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  Před 2 lety +1

      100%. I was so shocked that I could maintain a weight I felt very strong and comfortable in all while eating steak, putting cheese on my eggs, having chocolate everynight, and not moderately exercising. Relaxation is a powerful thing. So glad you aren't wasting your life away anymore!!

    I'm on a good way in recovery and I really agree with you. I'm at a point where I look in the mirror and think "I want there to be more. I don't want to be as small anymore. I want to have curves, fat and more muscle and feel like a woman again".
    I've been noticing changes in my body and I think my reproductive sytem is slowly kicking back in! Though I've been weight restored for a while now, I've been working on my relationship with excersice and the people around me to reduce overall stress and I think my body is finally slowly responding to these lifestyle changes.
    I've noticed through my recovery that I don't have daily panic attacks anymore, I'm able to actually make jokes again and be silly, I'm not costantly stressed and I was able to eat my mum's christmas food with no fear whatsoever! I have more energy but at the same time I'm feeling more tired, because my body is not constantly running on stress hormones.
    Keep going ladies! It's worth it!

    For me, gaining weight is about being more resilient about everything in life - Now I am seeing the world with different glasses - family gatherings, sharing food, not overthinking about what I would eat or drink, focusing on relationships Not food.
    And above all I restore my emotions - my normal ones - laughing, crying, even anger and sadness - I think recovery is about being a normal person with a normal life; not catastrophizing every little thing and learning to accept yourself unconditionally.

    Would you please talk more about the importance of "unrestricted eating" as a way of life; versus unrestricted eating for gaining weight; as I do believe that a lot of us could experience RELAPSE because we eat unrestrictedly only to get our periods back and then when we get it we swiftly turn back to our old habits.

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  Před 2 lety +1

      Oooooo yes a really important topic. Would love to make some content around that. Thanks for the suggestion!

    I think BC and diet culture can really set you back. I forgot what it was like to feel womanly, and lived in a body that's biology was so prepubescent. Now I have lovely curves and dips and this strength that is womanly. Sexy, strong, emotional, cyclical, nurturing.

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  Před 2 lety +1

      Same same. I LOVE my more curvy womanly body. I have learned to love the natural shape of my body and find a lot of strength in being a bigger size. Diet culture for sure plays a role in making women think that they need to look super skinny... such a shame.

    What happens if the weight gain gets out of hand and the person ends up very overweight/ obese. What are the benefits in that. I’m only pointing this out as not everyone experiences this “ideal” type of weight gain, and it’s rarely talked about in recovery videos, which leaves these people feeling like a failure.

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  Před 2 lety

      This would be a great topic to discuss in video. I am putting it on the list.

    Awesome arms Chole 💪......is it possible to gain muscle without lifting weights if you are fueling well and doing body weight exercise such as yoga?

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  Před 2 lety +1

      When you eat more you can gain quite a bit of muscle without weight training! Overtime though if you want to really grow those muscles then weight training is a great option but yoga will keep you strong as well.

      Well I know one thing for sure, its not worth doing things that you hate. you 100% can find another way, a more enjoyable way, to gain muscle!
