    Lovely flowers! I bought a packet of snail vine seeds from Baker Creek and now I'm looking forward to planting them. Thanks for taking us on a journey with you.

      Me too! I bought them from the same place, for my friend that I live with, and I thought I had better research a bit before I put them in her yard!

      @@GrowingGreenNZ I have not had any luck getting the seeds to pop. I have really nice indoor grow cells, with heating mats and domes and good seed starter "soil". Any suggestions? It has been over 2 weeks, maybe 3, and no seedlings :/

      I even have little baby humidifiers and grow lights going most of the day for the seedlings that have emerged. Just nada on the snail vines :/

    I bought a sad looking one at Nursery prior Regional NSW COVID Lockdown. Still looks same though replanted it prob month ago. Trying to find what’s needed to get to growing. Wish looked like yours

    I have 3 of them growing in my garden, inspired by your post! 1 is looking lush and amazing, the other 2 are less lush still lots of growth but one in particular is getting yellow leaves and slowed down the growth.. hat should I do? I’m not over or under watering and it’s position faces north but gets an afternoon shade ( windy spot)
    I appreciate your suggestions

      Oh awesome!! Under or over watering would have been the first thing I would have suggested đŸ’đŸŒâ€â™€ïž

    I've just decided to grow some in my apartment, but it's currently winter.
    Should I get florescent lights to keep them healthy, or will they survive with check-ups?

    • @GrowingGreenNZ
      @GrowingGreenNZ  Pƙed 2 lety

      They will DEFINITELY survive with check ups :) as long as your apartment is reasonably warm :)

      @GrowingGreenNZ  Pƙed 5 lety +1

      Hey! I had EXACTLY the same issue and you know what? I left them and they really did not harm the plant I think they were just attracted to the smell! Are yours doing any damage?

    • @GD-bm1bu
      @GD-bm1bu Pƙed 5 lety +2

      @@GrowingGreenNZ yes they do coz flowers die quickly I think something sweet in the flowers thats way they so attractive to it.

    • @GrowingGreenNZ
      @GrowingGreenNZ  Pƙed 5 lety +1

      Yup! Definitely. I also found my flowers died quickly with/without ants so I think it must be something to do with the plant itself. @@GD-bm1bu

    I'm in Sydney. Why does mine lose its leaves in the winter? It goes pretty dormant, which is weird cos it's not that cold here. Oh and my one is in a shaded position. Perhaps they need full sun?

    • @GrowingGreenNZ
      @GrowingGreenNZ  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      As long as you protect it from sweltering heat or freezing temperatures. I would recommend digging the tubers up and storing them in a cool, dry place when the leaves drop in winter
