Really impressed with coil repair. I've completely destroyed coils before trying to do the same thing. Glad to see you putting out content again man keep on trucking

Glad your back. Really enjoyed your supermarket videos.
I just recently picked up the field piece micron gauge when my blu vac was misbehaving. Really happy with the FP so far

Man I don't repair aluminum coils, i'd be scared of that call back. I've seen guys repair them and quote out the coil to be replaced regardless. So if the customer denies it, it's not on us

A little bit of alcohol in micron gauge will usually correct inaccurate readings.

The microchannel is a product to reduce costs in a fight against the competition, and the manufacturers know it.

Filter first, no. You acknowledged the possibility of replacement if the repair failed. Why waste a filter.
Good job. Real work, not theory.

Hello man, nice job, just one thing, when removing the old filter, if you braze it you are spreading all humidity that may be trapped in the core into the installation, I know it's a lot easier to unbraze and braze. I read in Danfoss installation manual for refrigeration technicians along with many other tips.

True but I think it’s minimal. Especially when you’re still pulling a vacuum.

Key thing was that your solder stuck. Being rusty is all good. I’ve only soldered on aluminum 1 time and it was horrible but it held lol.

Do you think you could make a helpful video for the basics for sequence of operations on most walk in coolers or helpful tips for making wiring easier.

You may have exposed it to positive pressure. Clean with mineral spirits. If that dont work warranty, then use the bluvac. Its better.

Likely oil or contaminants on the sensor of your micron gauge. Try cleaning it with alcohol 8:41

I used to do stuff like back in the 80's when i was new. But i learned it's better for the customer and everyone involved to just replace the condenser. Are the customers welfare bums? Charge for a new condenser coil ! As anyone at the factory will tell you, and i have talked to them many times, that is a defective coil and other leaks are probable . I guess the maintenance guy is an illegal who should be deported so you couldn't film him. Worthless undocumented workers from Mexico give the HVAC trade a bad name.

Take the gauge..put in freezer 30 min. Next put rubbing alcohol inside the sensor cap. Shake with finger...blow out with low pressure nitro and shake every 30 sec. Try to use again. If it won't work...replace it, sensor is bad
