Congrats on the House Rookie !!! i Want to See a Backyard Video of You Barbecuing up Some Ribeyes or Burgers 🍔 . Gotta Criscent the House !!! Once You Put a Barbecue in the Backyard & Start Barbecuing Then it's Officially a Home. 😂
Nice to see you uploading again mr. rookie, thought you were a goner lol those solenoid coils don't really pull anything at least with 220V. Some are 11 watts or 8 watts and they pull pretty much the same current as a contactor coil depending on it's rated voltage, something like a tenths of a amp. I guess it depends on your meter if you can pick it up. Good upload!
Man I currently work as an A/C tech in the DFW area as well. Was pleasantly surprised to find out that you do as well. I’ve gotten a job opportunity to move over to the refrigeration side of things and have been absorbing your videos. Thanks for the knowledge, maybe I’ll see you around!
Love all your videos! Nice "short" videos that is packed with infos and knowledges it's like going to a buffet and not overeating; just the right amount!
Love the videos I’ve been doing residential HVAC for 8 years and (some) light commercial but I want to get into refrigeration… so that’s the pump down solenoid ? I’ve been told there is no control wire like a regular residential condenser. And it just works on the solenoid and pressure switches shut down the condenser is that right ?
I so appreciate you making videos for all of us, Thank You. I am looking to purchase a Freezer and Refrigerator, most everyone says get a Delfield. I would like your opinion if you don't mind, seeing you do repairs on commercial units. From your experiences would you say that Delfield is the best brand? I so appreciate your time and thank you for any insight you are willing to share with me.
ah , Who needs fuses ! if your in a pinch , just wire nut it together. lots of other manufacturers never use control fuses. Apply power & Look 👀 for Smoke ... 🤣. Theres your problem. 😂
You probably didn't get an amp draw due to the coil wattage. Usually very low. If it was 10watt thats 10w / 210v = 50mA. Hard enough to pick up. Best way to check if the coil is energised is to actually open the clamp around the coil itself rather than the cable
When you turn the defrost clock to check if it engages and then turn it back into cooling mode do you just leave it at that time or do you go back to set time it should be at?
Nice to see you back man, we have 6 inches of snow up here in Canada

Yup, tstat controls liquid line solenoid. Compressor contactor cuts in and out with the pressure switch on pumpdown.

Good to see ya back.
Kind regards,

Always enjoy your videos don't forget on low amperage you can wrap the wire so your meter can measure it👍
If u ever get in a pinch, just wrap the fuse in aluminum bubble gun wrapper
