Damn bro, thanks for all your content! Went to HVACR trade school and honestly I didn’t learn shit there! I got transferred into refrigeration at the market and I’m struggling! These videos helping for sure! Keep them coming. More self contained troubleshooting please 🙏✝️
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. I myself am a rookie. I did industrial/ammonia for 15 years. Been doing markets for 5 months and can’t say enough about how much I love it. Been following you for almost a year. Thank you for taking the time to share. 👏🏽👏🏽
@@ryanwoodard5590 man I can’t say enough about ammonia refrigeration. I actually just went back to it. I am now at a company that does both industrial and commercial so it just gets even better. I have met a lot of people who pick ammonia over freons. Mostly due to how easy it is to find leaks, and redundancy in the systems.
Who needs vacuums, they're just a scam! Haha, great video bro, I've done a few repairs with slight pressure still inside to avoid needing to vac the system out. Keep up the great work man!
Great video Rook ! Smart move on changing the epr. I see stuff like that all the time. Ohms out good etc. But you know it’s bad. Like thermistors. They ohm ok. But get wonky. This is where your experience comes into play. U seen it before & know how it goes. Wet / sweaty locations thermistors start leaking / not sealed very good. They get squirrelly l. If u can , try to install thermistors with wires below the sensor so moisture runs downward instead of into sensor. Smart move running the wire all the way & not joining wires when possible. Keeps moisture intrusion out of wire maintaining proper ohms. Good vid !
You didn't pull a 500 micron vacuum after changing the valve??!!! How terrible!! Just kidding, good job. That's what I like about rack work, take it down to just above zero psi and do a quick swap. Good explanation of the subcooler issue as well!
Good video, I dont do any rack stuff and watching your videos I dont want to either lol. But dont worry about anyone talking smack about you be proactive.. If ever words were spoken painful and untrue!
Safe than sorry good job! You guys busier with storms aftermath? Only Texas refrigeration would wear cowboy boots! My brother awesome😊!Be safe union strong!
we had a store that used a R22 low temp rack.the compressors had thermisters in the cylinder heads and used copeland demand cooling controls along with solenoid valves to inject liquid in small amounts into head of compressors to keep the valves over heating due to high compression ratios.is this similar to this sporlan set up.?looks like the paint was peeling off that scroll .we refer to this as desuperheating.
Excellent video sir. Would appreciate it if you could share who makes that wrench that was used to remove the CDS “stub”. Looks like it would save many a busted knuckles... many thanks in advance..
quick question, you diagnosed the EEPR as the faulty mechanical component, so how did you rule out the evap pressure regulator right away? sometimes in dual cases they can also be faulty. thanks!
IS AB07 and AB03 in the same board? looks like AB07 alarmed the same thing on the 17th possible board going bad that's if its on the same board... good call on replacing it though would of just came back in too cold in a couple days..
@@rookierefrigeration4357 right on it reinforces the knowledge u have at the same time, I dig the channel. I've been wanting to do some but I'm sure the dudes at work would love to stumble across them.
Something I don’t understand, if the input is 150 Deg, shouldn’t the subcooler fully inject? Instead, it just stop injecting causing the head to get hot?
ohhh nooo you didnt bring up your recovery rig and and vacuum pump to pull below 500 microns and prove a decay test 😂😂 your viewers are soft on you lol good job!
I think you should do a video everyday regardless if there is good shit or not.
Do you smell what the rook is cooking???
Thanks bro. Next video will be dedicated to you.

How did you like doing industrial ammonia, there’s a food plant I’ve been contemplating applying at

I must admit , I know nothing of these systems. So kudos to you!!
One of your best videos to date 👍🏼
Awsome brother , I learned a thing or two on this call. I just started in the refrigeration game. Love your videos , hope you keep them coming.
As i always say to my guys
"When in doubt chuck it out"
and then you get no callbacks
You always get paid for the first call not the callback
I missed the part where you made it back to this company lol glad to see you back on the grind!
Bad ass bro! Watching from Chicago! Really appreciate what you’re doing!

Over here waiting for the next rookie refrigeration video, hope you doing good bro.
Nice job on the first time fix............
Glad to see you’re out and about, was worried about you guys down there with the ice, snow and freezing temps you guys got.
Yeah lol. Thanks. We got through it.
Probably the was having a mechanical issue.Great Job.My refrigeration hero
Nice video man! I'm on the commercial/ industrial side dont see too much supermarket refer so always like seeing your vids, keep up the good work!
Thanks alot bro
Missing your videos bro Thank you always. For your teaching
Lookin at the big picture good job man!
Like your work, as an electrician/refri tech never ever splice unless you have no other option.
Great work brother appreciate the content. @Rookie Refrigeration shout out from 🇿🇦
Thank you bro

Good catch on that subcooler man.
Very good video a lot of knowledge here.good job buddy.

Lol thanks bro. We are actually just busy like always. We did have alot of calls backlog during the snowstorm. But we’re good

Who's the 3 haters, I'm sure they are the same type of person that has all the answer
Excellent video sir. Would appreciate it if you could share who makes that wrench that was used to remove the CDS “stub”. Looks like it would save many a busted knuckles... many thanks in advance..
They are from Northern Tool. Klutch I believe is the brand.
Rookie refrigeration , your a bad dude , Micheal Jackson bad
Lol. I guess that's good. Or bad? 😂🤣🤣
@@rookierefrigeration4357 I enjoy all your videos bro, some good stuff.
Why did you change that valve?, EXPERIENCE!!! Enough Said!!!!!!!!!!. Now GO TO BED! 😆 😅 😂 🤣
This one is way over my head.
Is there a lot of Targets in the Dallas area? I feel like you do a lot of Target work.
Not sure how many but we have alot
Hey I heard a lot of guts from coolsys quit in Texas is that true?
quick question, you diagnosed the EEPR as the faulty mechanical component, so how did you rule out the evap pressure regulator right away? sometimes in dual cases they can also be faulty. thanks!
oh ok by resetting the EEPR I get it

Yeah if anything comes in again it’s the board. The voltage at the board was good so I didn’t take it any further.
@@rookierefrigeration4357 Nice troubleshooting with the voltage for the valve
So if a compressor goes out, then that case goes out,or will the other compressors pick up the load? Thanks
Dude where you get those wretches
Brand is Kutch from Northern tool
It's failing replace it. Your going to have to anyway
U got any sponsors yet? Are u making these for fun or the revenue stream coming from CZcams?
Just got fun and trying to teach a bit.

It shut down to avoid flooding.
Built in function of that controller?
It probably did exactly what you said. Then it realized it was running low superheat and shut off in alarm.
Ahha, SH as safety, why didn’t i think of it.
Does the case gets to cold during defrosts? I dont quit understand this principle doesnt the case have liquidline solenoid?
No liquid line solenoid. Defrost is done by closing the eepr all the way. Liquid stays open because it is hot gas defrost
@@rookierefrigeration4357 so evap gets flooded when when the epr closes when temp is satisfied?
@@sjefoekel6058 when temp is satisfied eepr usually closed to 8-12%. That way it still maintains flow to the rack.
@@rookierefrigeration4357 thank you for explaining, very interesting.
Glad to see you all survived the big freeze in Texas. Global warming at its best 🤣
Lol. Yeah we Alive. You still coming this way?
