The only way either of these things are gonna fit in your pocket is if you are wearing one of them columbine trench coats or something. For an actual portable gaming device I'd recommend looking into the Gameboy color, its 3 inches shorter than the switch lite and 4.5 inches shorter than the OLED, now that's what I call portable. The Gameboy color also has better battery life than both of these "portable gaming devices", and doesn't have any of this "stick drift" you seem to be so worried about. You should really do some research before posting a video like this. I expect more from a CZcams channel with almost 40k subscribers, but I guess that's just how your generation is, never putting in the legwork required to do a decent job at something. Let me guess, you want all the student loan debt to just magically go away with no repercussions, as if your actions don't have consequences. not true, the Switch Lite is. the Gameboy Color is outdated. yeah it's smaller but if you want a better portable device, buy the 3DS. you can play both DS and 3DS games, you can't play online because the service is disabled, but you can play games on it. the Switch Oled is better for dock mode, but if your more on the go alot, the Switch Lite is the better device for portable play.
I bought a used switch lite a year ago since i didn't want to pay 300 pounds for a new oled switch. I paid like 80 pounds for a switch lite that had 6 months of use and works perfectly. I bought a plastic cover that encases the whole switch and has grips and it made the switch much more confortable to hold and use. The battery does last about 4 hours depending on the game.
I still want to upgrade my Switch Lite to Switch OLED in coming months. Hopefully Nintendo announcing a permanent price cut & transparent purple version of Switch OLED when they revealing a Switch 2 in March - June (based on rumours) ❤❤❤
I just got an OLED and a Lite to replace my V2 and both are amazing in different ways. I'm honestly surprised by how much I'm using the Lite, even when I'm home, I thought I'd only use it out of the house but I find myself reaching for it all the time.
Can you use your same account on each at the same time? OR will you have to have two different accounts or keep switching from one device to another to play games with saved data?
@@ewidontlikeyou You can use the same account, but only one switch can be your primary console, this means the secondary switch checks if you own the game before you play it, so you need to be connected to the internet. So primary switch is for offline play and secondary switch online play, I made my lite the primary and the OLED the secondary, because the OLED always stays at home so it's always comnected to the internet, wulff den has a video explaining it. Only games I cannot play on both that I know of are animal crossing and pokemon, because they don't use cloud saves, the other ones transfer saved dats when the console is sleep.
@@ayna957 regarding Pokemon (probably the same for AC too) you can transfer your save back and forth via local connection with both switches. I primarily use my switch lite but when I want to connect to the tv I just transfer my Pokemon save to my oled and vice versa. A bit more of a hassle and I could see worry about game corruption but I'm not too worried. I've done it many times.
@@OreoCheesecake12 Screen quality is night and day, OLED is so much better, it's the only reason I upgraded to the OLED. The switch lite is very comfortable but most of it comes from the weight difference, I can play with it in bed holding the Lite over my head and since it's close to my face I don't care about the screen size. If I were you I'd buy an ergonomic case and keep the OLED. But you can always go to a store to see if you can put up with the Lite screen size, I think an OLED mod is about to come out.

I've gone back and forth between them a bunch of times. Ultimately end up selling the OLED because I hate the way the joy cons feel, specifically the clicky buttons which hurt my thumbs when there's any game that requires mashing, but otherwise it's a pretty solid handheld. Certainly has a better screen, although because it's much larger you're going to see more jaggies in games due to the same low resolution being stretched out across it. This was most apparent for me in BotW and TotK.
I'm happy to hear that. I was a bit hesitant about choosing the Lite version, especially since I already own a PS5 and don't intend to play the Switch on TV. However, considering how much I'm enjoying BOTW, I've been thinking about whether it would provide a better experience on a larger OLED screen. But I managed to get a great deal on the Animal Crossing Lite edition, which was half the price of an OLED in my country. I think I made the right decision after all.
I bought a grip product (that has 3 different sized grips) on Amazon for the white OLED from Skull & Co Neo Grip about a year ago, and it works like a champ. About $23, I think. Something to ponder about. With meaty hands also, i can't play the switch without it.
Nintendo really messed up on the switch lite with the battery. 3-4 hours is terrible for handheld, especially one that was designed to be just a handheld. My wife and I are going on a 2 week vacation soon and wanted to get one of these and didn’t want to bring my docked one but the OLED has a much better battery so I’m definitely not getting the lite
Putting ANY switch in a pocket is just begging for stick drift to happen. Never have I put my Lite, V2 or OLED in a pocket. It’s just not durable enough for that. If I’m on the go with my switch I’m most likely carrying a backpack like while on a road trip, plane trip, whatever. Use a dedicated case to protect your investment. Pocketability just seems redundant to even mention
Yeah I would say it depends on your use case. If you want the TV docking feature at all go with the OLED, but if you're just going to be playing in handheld only I would say get the lite. Especially since it's expected Nintendo is going to release a new console this year. If you buy the cheaper option, you can save up for the new console sooner.
Gotta use that Steam Deck to build up your gaming muscles to hold the Switch. Do you play those consoles without a grip? I couldn’t at all, the cramping was severe.

Finished Metroid Dread on my Lite while couldn`t finish it on the OLED. It`s not only more pocketable, its portability and grip are unsurpassed. It`s like gripping an Apache stick and j****ng all over that MF raven beak's face. Lite all the way FTW.
You forgot 1 important thing. Like all yhe others. And for me thats the 1 thing i hate about my lite. Did not know when i bought it, because no one talks about it. There is no rumble..... and i hate that on shooters. Stil all the love to my yellow switch lite.
I prefer the lite for games where I use the D-pad. But the oled has a much better screen. I still notice that I use the switch lite more often when I want to play a quick game or take it with me on a trip. Both are great. Good video 👍

I had a switch lite for Christmas of 2022 and yea more portable like a phone in your pocket but I broke the LCD because of the heat outside and it sucked this Christmas I got a switch OLED to replace the lite personality get the OLED with a case and a screen protector with a game or two
OLED Switch is an awesome console. Picked mine up just over a year ago, right after Christmas. Also, I picked up a pair of Hori Switch Pad Pro Grips about a month later for 49 bucks, making the total cost the exact same price as two Switch Lites, which I'm totally happy with. SPP Grips are great to have and switch out to on occasion for various things, however, just sucks they don't have the rumble feature... that, and they don't fit in my compact carrying case like the standard joy cons while attached. Otherwise SPP Grips WOULD be my primary controllers. The Switch Lite definitely has its place. The extra versatility of the OLED, however, will definitely be worth it for a lot of folks.
The Lite has no HD Rumble, and the colors are even less vibrant than the standard Switch. My Lite had bad sticks since the first month I owned it, and I wasn't able to return the console to get it fixed. (My fault not Nintendo's)
The Switch oled and Switch Lite? Pffft! They're nothing compared to the Wii U, 3DS, DSi, Wii, and GameCube! Those consoles had soul, unlike the soulless piece of junk that is the Switch. Don't even get me started on the lackluster games it offers. The older consoles and their games are unbeatable!

yea the jaggies are even worse on games that doesn't run native 720p in handheld mode. Xenoblade 2 looks blurrier on the oled compared to the lite.
