Let’s be real, Deion does not have that level of influence over NFL team owners, coaches and GMs. Even if he did have it over some, he has no idea who will have the top 4 picks next year or who will be taken with top picks this year (it matters) or who how free agency will play out in 2025.

Prime is doing exactly whatvi would want my coach to do, politic for me. And the other players love it because they get the scouts and the eyes to watch them more than ever to increase their stock of they truly ball. The other players have no excuses if they don't ball out and get looked at.
Puts unnecessary pressure on the kid too tho…a narrative that will follow him all season, what if has a down or just ok season? He would have been wiser to keep this to himself.

At the same time the attitude of "I don't like the team I'm not going to go" is it really good for their futures. Whose to say teams don't make an example of them. Like ok you don't want to come out fine we won't draft you at all. Remember there is a new hype player every year in the draft. Don't miss out on an opportunity because you think you hotter than you are.
Actually makes a lot of sense. There are teams like Pittsburgh for example who are good at drafting and developing quarterbacks, whereas patriots and some other teams are not. However, patriots are/were good at developing some line backers when BB was there. The team you go too def matters. QB just matters the most but doesn’t mean the other skill positions don’t.
James jones started on the right track as far as the bears organization not putting players in good positions or just poorly managed/owned circus teams and small market teams. Dallas, Chicago, Carolina, Minnesota and other teams like that
