I'm glad Asmon considered using flash pods finally.
On Fatalis.
🗿
hey at least "if" he co-op he could help friend who got pinned
😂😂😂
Bro I legit did a double take as to what he said. Man this is another couple of weeks of quality Rage and failures. This will be so fun!
😭😭😭😭
He needs a secret 3rd monitor before beating Fatalis. 👁️
and also a loose blindfold, can't see the secret 3rd monitor without it
Can't wait to see that react vid. In the best of worlds he'd react to both Karl 'n Abyssoft, but I'll take a Karl vid.
But where was the 3 rd monitor in the other runs?
True
LMFAO it's too soon
Those people that were saying Alatreon is harder were gaslighting him hard
It could have been for him. Depends.
Fatalis is easily 2.5 times harder
@@Kuroganemk2 no depends
For real. Alatreon is objectively easy after you learnt his moveset. The only reason people think it's hard is because they don't know it and have to reach the dps check.
fatalis makes alatreon look like fighting a toddler
No max potion crafting, clutch claw and wallbang, and with non augmented gear. When he kills it, it should count as an arch tempered fatalis.
and GreatSword is harder to use in this fight.
@@h0kakigreat sword is awesome for Fatalis once your positioning is accurate. You have limited windows so weapons where you deal massive one hits are very good. Or you go SnS or DB and forget about openings.
@@tranhuup bro, Long sword is the easiest, almost everyone is using LS for fatalis xD
@@h0kakibut it's also the coolest
Bruh i’ve seen someone did it with high rank gear.
Alatreon is basically you being a child fighting a grown man. you feel you can win, its possible, you come close but they are always ahead of you.
fatalis is like fighting a professional athlete, you know it's unfair, you know you have no chance, but regardless you keep going because its not as frustrating since you know it is their job to be better than you.
How do you get past the point... to like be able too call for sos quq I cant even get that far after returning to mhwi with my hh relearning to doot think I need to change my set XD
you need to get 22% of his hp before you can call sos
@@beasthaven1571 keep going, friend. just keep practicing and learning which of his moves give you an opening. Look up the ghillie mantle cannon strat for a really good way to deal damage and get a knockdown in the first minute. You'll basically want to put on a ghillie mantle before flying down, place 2 large barrel bombs in front of the cannon in front of him, load both cannons and angle them at him, then swap to a mantle that has heavy artillery gems slotted on (would recommend temporal so you have it for roaming ballista in phase 2) and fire at him. With heavy artillery, the 2 full cannon bursts will guarantee a knockdown, where you can tenderize his head and get some damage, and you might be able to get a wallbang on him before he stands up/enrages. This strat alone probably takes out half the HP needed to unlock the SOS
@@my_username_was_already_taken ill have to try that I full cart no sos
True that, brother. Nothin’ quite like getting literally farmed right off the wingdrake by fireballs before ya can even fire off an SOS lmao
Well. Fatalis is gonna be a fun arc.
Isn’t he the hardest boss ???
@@bigdogang he is indeed
@@bigdogang is the hardest, but extreme behemoth in high rank is complicated too.
@@bigdogang i still cant beat it with co-op😂 and alatreon is already my bitcch but fatalis.....ahhh he bullies
@@SoeZ- i beat extreme behemot solo, but with high end gear. even with all of that, i still getting my ass kicked. charybdis mechanic is so *ss. hunter that can beat this mofo with MHW base gear just build different.
Fatalis is giga hard but can be made easier with the right mantels, artillery and other tricks... But considering how hard headed asmon is, if he beats fatty itll be a 30 minute clutch nail biter
The whole artillery opening is a meme. You waste time you can invest getting better at the fight and it's less efficient time wise than normal damage.
@@unixtreme less efficient, more safe. Its just free damage to start with. Unless you don't cart, its worth it imo.
Also, never did i say opening. Artillery is 100% more dps than you would ever do if you use the roaming ballista
@@unixtreme I think they just meant having Heavy Artillery on your mantle or build so you can increase ballista damage in 2nd phase onwards
@@unixtreme I highly disagree, it's a huge opening that lets you basically skip phase 1. I always do it and I killed Fatalis at least 30 times with it.
@@unixtreme meme? who said that? you?.. lol. OFC the devs would put a bunch of cannons and stuff just for memes
Waiting for asmon to beat Fatalis and the comments to be like "finally the tutorial is over"
Imo, if he managed to solo alatreon there is no way he doesn't solo fatalis. I've always found alatreon to be more annoying than Fatalis when soloing. Time will tell.
Nah fam. I know the tutorial meme is a real thing in the community, but if you beat fatty you have mastered the game.
Gonna be weird if he does it without buff potions, wall bangs etc lol
@@sloesty Nah ppl will still be like "now beat g rank Alatreon on 3U with a sega dreamcast bass fishing rod controller". I've loved monster hunter for years but the try hards in the community are hilarious and embarrassing
@@Indian_Rossat least MH community don't gatekeep the way souls community do.
You can use whatever in your disposal to beat the monsters while souls community will say "you don't beat the game if you use this and that shit bla bla bla"
@@sakuranohana1014 yeah. Souls is another franchise I love but hate the community. They both suck but the Soulsborne community is way worse than MH imo
Looking back to my first comment on this series, I thought for sure he wouldn't even beat the story of the base game because he will drop the game, like how he usually does.
I can't believe that he got to the point of actually fighting Fatalis.
I feel like he turbo'd through the game at a crazy pace, feels like it was yesterday he just tried it out.
Feels like a proud dad for a sec
He truly deserves our respect after all this despite his hard-headedness xd
@@flackenstien i think it mainly seems like the case for most people that played mhw at launch, which the reason why is balancing is way different, eg not only do they have access to higher level gear faster such as defender gear but i think some monsters got nerfed and not just the normal nerf but stun nerf and longer stun times for grapple and its optimised for you to get to iceborne asap and to even now blast through that
I was expecting the same
What’s crazy is that there’s still 11 monsters he hasn’t fought.
Geez seriously? Wow I haven't played this yet but I want to though

“Ok”
“NOT THAT COVER!”

It's even funnier because he's tried to hide behind it like a half a dozen other times with other attacks and it never worked lmao.
WRONG CORNER LOL
I still vividly remember my first time fighting Fatalis. I stayed up all night and fought him for 14 hours straight until I beat him. It is still one of my most memorable moments playing games.
took me 3 days xD
at that time, I quickly learned it was impossible to do this in a 4 man group and cleared it in a duo. Even to this day, it is extremely hard to do it in a 4-man group, too many lazy people expect to be carried.
@@h0kakiyea duo is the strat for this fight
Took me 17 hr straight haha
@@h0kaki I have only ever beaten him solo. Theoretically it should be easier with 4 people, since the health increase doesn't scale to 4x the amount of health, but practically 4 players is probably harder since people tend to die at least once on Fatalis.
i dont understand how after all these hours, and after reaching fatalis, he still hasnt' learned to not greed for 2nd and 3rd slashes EVERY single time he attacks lmao
and yet im still here watching this 2 and half hour video... 10/10 content creator 3/10 gamer
To be fair, he DID go for 2nd slashes or outright abrupted his Cs attempts during his Garuga arena fight.
And wouldn't you know? He actually dealt incremental damage instead of just randomly hitting """big""" every nth attempt
Sure ffels frustrating at times, but deep down, we all sure do love Asmon for who he is, right?
don't think he is ready for phase 3, without horn break, he is cooked.
im really excited about what his reaction is.
There are people who beat Fatalis in day 2 without breaking the horn a single time. What are you talking aaout?
@@brojakmate9872asmongold isn’t anywhere near as skilled as those players lol, I’ve only seen speedrunners do that

Asmon beat Alatreon solo. Let that sink in

"But how did you get his mats without killing him"
I got his gem from a part break 3 times lol
Bro, ppl saying Alatreon is harder than Fatalis need to quit drugs for real😂
You know, I'm not a hardcore player and I have nothing against Asmon, but it's very strange to see someone play dozens and hundreds of hours in a game and refuse to learn and understand the "basics" of combat and the system other than hitting the target...
World of Warcraft mentality i guess
Oonga boonga bonk hehehehe
Agreed. I don't really play GS, but even I could tell he hasn't been using his full kit
He has most of it down now surely

Is he gonna actually go in with mid max gear this time ???
39:34 THAT fireball was the biggest ' CASUL ' i ever seen
Lol, this is why the running jump is soo important 🤣. Everytime I need to escape I would run the opposite direction and dodge
Fatalis doesn't have much of a gimmick which is why I think some people find him easier than Alatreon, these people quickly forget how much more punishing Fatalis overall really is.
Nothing is more punishing than an insta kill. At least with fatalis you break his horns he won't kill you.
Alatreon will still kill you even when you break his horns if you don't match the elemental DPS check
@@DarthAssViolater 3rd phase when no horn break : welp nice knowing ya
Little does Asmongold know that he’s not even HALFWAY into the fight, and he hasn’t even realized he’s gotta kill Fatalis in 30 MINUTES and is taking half that time to take only a quarter of his health
content starts at 12:04 (he needs to fight alatreon again first)
first try fatalis 29:13
first phase 2 1:05:05
ego is the hardest boss
hes beaten greed, kinda
For me the main Difference between Fatalis and Alatreon is, that the Timer on Fatalis is much tighter compared to the Alatreon fight. The Damage windows are shorter and you have to play way more optimal to get him down just in time.
Happy to see you stick with it and make it all the way to Fatalis.
That said the 66K health pool is deceptive, you deal reduced damage to nearly all of his body parts unless you tenderize them. Your hits on average were landing between 70-120 on Fatalis. By comparison you were hitting Alatreon for 200-300 per hit. So while he only has about 14K more HP than the last boss his health pool will make it feel more like 150K.
Its a very harsh DPS check and a good attempt can take 25-minutes and he can easily combo you to death in 2-3 hits no matter how good your gear is especially in the later phases. Looking forward to you getting him down though!
1:39:25 "I have to remove my mantle for it to recharge? It doesn't go away on its own?"
Yes. Because you refuse to learn game mechanics and refuse to listen to any type of advice. Your strongest final boss is your own stubbornness.
He's fighting the final boss and is still not using Clutch Claw and the slinger burst. What a chad.
and no vitality lol
This is what i mean, he chooses to play games on hard mode and then complain he gets stuck lol

He banned some guy trying to help. More like duality of manchild
LOooooL that intro to fighting him. The pressure was insane!
lmfao he decides to start using flash pods right when he gets to the last boss, the monster that can't be flash podded.
I’m glad he is playing “his” way,but he is trying to treat this game like it’s Elden Ring.
Fatalis isn't the worst boss to "elden ring". The only gimmick you need to understand is taking cover from the instant-kill fire cones.
Everything else, even without headbreaks, you can ignore by getting gud.
@@TheTexasDice I meant more that he is just trying to brute force it instead of using ANY of the games designed mechanics. He has succeeded so far just of sheer will and luck to get through it but Fatalis isn’t any of the other monsters. Every other monster you can brute for, you must use the mechanics on Fatalis or it’s a fail. He’s gonna brute force Fatalis to phase 3 without a single horn break and pay for it over and over again.
With evade window 5 it basically is, in fact eva5 has more s
@@SitankouTo be fair, you can kill Fatalis that way perfectly fine.
He's just gonna need to get good to do it.
However many fights he needs to get that good, is another question.
he gonna need to be better than let me solo her to get to that point and even then he might fail
It's amazing how the game has great cutscenes even after seeing the Credits 2 times so far. It feels like the devs wanted to create more and do better and better until the final patch.
Fatalis’ attacks are really easy to memorize it’s just if you get caught in one you are easily losing almost all of your health to just insta-dead.
I watched my son (he’s 13) take 2 months to finally beat Fatalis. He insisted doing it solo and with the charge blade. Finally brought him down the other day. Huge celebration in our house. This fight is no fucking joke.

He does not respect the game enough to be able to beat Fatalis.

Fatalis in world: on second thought
It's fascinating watching another Hunters journey like this. It feels surreal honestly, as I think about my own.
Fatalis is one of the most memorable and most satisfying fights to learn. He is so fun to fight alone and with a group. He really feels like a top 10 boss across all games of all genres. Every time I fight him and lose I always know it’s my fault. It’s never bullshit and that’s what makes it so good.
That Zinogre fight was pretty cool. Man the art styles in this game are amazing.
Many doubted but here we are.
there is an alternative universe where asmon didnt beat alatreon and moved on, we truely are lucky to see this
I was playing this fight with the sound turned real low and so didn't notice. When I turned it up I found that right at the end when you stun Fatalis in the last stage, just as the fight is the HARDEST, that EPIC theme plays and it makes you give it your all, come what may, against all odds.

Funny thing about Fatalis is that the quest itself, along with Fatalis himself but in a different way, actually gets harder lmao. Going past Phase 1 means no more A-Lister to help you out in the future and clearing the quest drops your future death counts from 5 to 3, kinda indirectly punishing you for success lmao
The fact that he came here all the way without any scs skip and direction change with slinger is crazy
His persistence is, unironically, quite amazing. Keep it up bud, you are a legitimately great Hunter
I just wish he wouldn't have this persistance with the weapon.

As a long time monster hunter player:
If you want to kill monsters, heavy bowgun is the only option. Everything else is for fun.
I think the feeling that Alatreon is more difficult than Fatalis (not really) is because before facing him, we already defeated Alatreon, which was not the same with Alatreon, since before this we faced Furious Rajang/Raging Brachy. And that is a BIG difference of preparation imo.
i can't wait for him to get to the baconator and press it. it's such a sick moment the first time you do it this fight.
Banning someone who even prefaced " I know you're not big on tips " entitled manchild behavior.
"There is way more openings than Alatreon"
..uhhh I mean that might just be me with 1.3k hours of platime but Alatreon has arguebly the most generous openings of pretty much any monster in the game.
"60k isn't that bad"
What?
Fatalis has bad hitzones on the "safe spots" like the legs and generally moves alot more with the parts that have good hitzones. Add to that the 30 min timer and 60k is suddenly alot more then "not that bad".
Honestly with that mindeset, lack of proper preparation and his playstyle I don't see him beating Fatalis anytime soon.
I doubt he will beat him solo. He still is not using clutch claw correctly. He needs to use Frostcraft instead of TCS. He still does not use the slinger shortcut to TCS. He is using health booster which should be either temporal/RS or evasion mantle. Health booster is garbage compared to the many other better options out there.
And I agree, ala is way easier. Plenty of easy openings on ala. Fatty is so much faster, more damage and 30 min timer. Plus, baiting cones doesnt always work.
You don't have an agitator ? Screaming," Your dead man, and we are too" ! LOL
At this point I've mastered Fatalis, watching a new player fight him is great. He's so punishing and I see how new people are so intimidated.
No wall bangs, no head tenderizing, plays with GS, no ghillie mantle cannon start, no plaunder blade with the cat, no temporal mantle, no aletreon duel blades, no max divine blessing, no max positions, no weapon health regen, no heavy artillery decos, armor lvl low. If he ever beats phase 2 i will be shocked.
Cannons won't be necessary, I'm pretty sure you know how to use the proper build for frost AT velkhana set. Also the weapon you main for it.
any weapon is fine
@@digicodawatches7534he doesn't have the AT Velk set tho
No Alatreon dbs? Because you can't beat Fatalis with any other weapon besides duals? 3head take. Don't need some cheesey cannon opener that takes 2 minutes each time you pull the boss either, just learn to dodge
Next monster hunter i hope white fatalis gonna show up
after having over 500 hunts on every weapon and 600ish kills on fatalis, i love that asmon is playing this game :D
Your scary XD
I should mention that Steam as both World and Rise on sale as of March first 2024
yeah its not happening unless he improves his gear by a LOT lol
Fatalis was one of the very few bosses that made me cry when i finally beat him.
Now I'm slowly cutting down my kill time bit by bit. Once Fatalis' moveset clicks in your head, it's now more of a matter of baiting his AI for him execute his punishable attacks
I teach myself to dodge roll almost all his attacks because I like oonga boonga. xD
The big fire blast where he flies up is still the hardest for me to dodge; usually, if my timing is off, that means that I will get 1 shot because I do not use any Devine blessing.
@@h0kaki good call. In my experience if you fight him enough times you don't really need Divine Blessing. It'll be more of taking advantage of his punishable movesets
I saw the title and knew this was going to be a wild ride
I was struggling so much on Fatalis with gs and the moment I switched to frostcraft I beat it first try.
Just run up to him and poke him in the head, sheathe, repeat. Try to bait his cone attack when he's standing and dont really commit to combos.
I also brought a fire mantle with 2 heavy artillery gems and tried to get the timing to use it with the roaming balistas and made my cat use gajalaka gadget + sleep weapon for guaranteed 1 sleep in the fight and a bit more of dps.
Even after doing all of that, using wall bangs and tenderize, temporal mantle, crafting max potions to not waste time healing, and like 7 hours of fighting I only managed to do it with 1 minute left.
To be fair I did not have augments and didn't use demon drugs (I forgot those existed) so this fight could have been easier but it's still extremely hard.
