This is the process I use to repair rusted metal. You can always buy an entirely new panel, but with a limited budget, it may be better to use this method!

Teardowns are the part they tells the story of the car's history. It is always interesting to see the mods others have made. Often it shows the bad hands it was in at one time. @@JakeHarrington Right on Jake! I know life get's in the way alot of times and I do not mean to assume all you do is wrench on cars brother. I just like to watch these videos as one day I aim to tackle a frame off resto of either a Trifive, or a 67 Chevelle, with my 12 year old son. I am not getting younger and at half a century old, I need to soak up all the knowledge I can lol! Plus, you explain things well, without all the fluff, and over the top influencer stuff. I used a surface conditioner from Harbor Freight that was a game changer for getting down to metal on my 63 Unibody. Did whole truck in 3-4 hours. Eastwood sales them too but I was skeptical so went with cheaper HF option.

@@JakeHarrington Yes, it worked great. Highly recommend. What made me comment was seeing the spots of primer on your quarter panel.
Oh gotcha! I typically run a geared sander over this type of stuff, then follow it with a DA! I've always wanted to try those stripping tools though
